  12. when you say your gearbox is stuffed, do you mean the syncros are playin up or something more serious? because it is very posable for syncros to play up at even less ks than yours if cogs are grabbed hard on cold g/b oil! brett
  13. dont think you will get very far tryin to point the finger at someone. its been discussed on the forum a fair bit about weather ks are genuine or not. generally comes down to overall condition of ya car i think!
  14. what are you trying to achieve knowing it definetly has been tampered with mate? have a crack at the importers you got it through or for your own peace of mind knowing how many ks are on your car? brett
  15. im guessing pfc not tuned to ethanol fuel, still shouldnt cause as many dramas at what your having!
  16. sad indeed but anyone involved realises that it can and does happen in motorsport. was just havin a chat to my sisters b/f who is no2 mechanic for tasmin motorsport and he said its being kept fairly quiet that one of the ute drivers involved in that accident is not looking too good either. a street circuit like that is obviestly not a place for people that havent done many hours in a well prepaired race car.
  17. no interest? going to put on ebay wed
  18. Item: Kawasaki KX60 Age: 1997 model JAP import Condition: excellent Price: $1000 Location: south eastern suberbs, Melbourne Contact: Brett 0407 355 697 Comments: I have for sale a 1997 model kawasaki kx 60 imported from japan (no different to australian models).Has green plastics with purple seat. Bike had a complete rebuild with wiesco piston and rings, top and bottom end bearings and new clutch around 5 hours riding ago (done by previous owner). Has new front and rear brake shoes. Bike is unwanted as i accepted it for payment for a small electrical job i did for a guy. Starts first kick nearly every time, front and back tyres in good conditing. Has an aftermarket powerpipe and is a very healthy little bike that goes extremely well, any test is welcome. Fuel has always been mixed at 38:1. will have new front sprocket this week as is currently missing a tooth. great for a kid thats wanting to get into racing or anyone who wants to rip the pants off their mates thumpsters. i will post or or email pics if there is any interest. will also consider swap with cash adjustment your way for a stand up jet ski. thanks for havin a look brett
  19. yeah sit down ones dont interest me at all mate, too many people have em and i want something different. looking at the prices of em $2500 will get say a 97-98 model 550 or 650. the maintanance side doesnt worry me too much as i have workshop setup with all tools and my g/fs old man owns a bike shop so can order any bits and pieces i need cheap. im planning on doing a rebuild pretty much straight away for peace of mind but when im buyin one there are things like stainless impellers and ride plates etc which im not sure about. might have to bit more research before buying one but does it sound like im on the right track or save bit more before buying one and get say a yamaha 2000 or above? thanks heaps for the info buddy brett
  20. ey all im looking at buying a mid to late 90's stand up jet ski for jumping in the surf. wonderin if anyone knows much about them as to what i should be looking for as it seems there are a few options. also wanting to know what sort of $$ are involved rebuilding one myself and how much of a pain it is or can be. going to spend around $2500 give or take any other info would be good too! cheeeerz brett
