When you fill up more than $20 of ultimate, they're supposed to give you a scratchie on which you can win an FPV Falcon or free fuel or some gay CD (which I now have two copies of) or some other stuff i think.. .I dont think the comp will be on much longer tho... its been going a while!
-
Yeah thats exactly what this servo was like today. 129.9 and 144.9... I guess its just luck of the draw.. As I say to anyone who asks "Why would you drive that car if it uses so much petrol!?" The answer: "You wouldnt understand unless you drove it, and the answer is NO, you can't drive it!!"
-
Thanks vic! Way to jinx me for EC!!
-
Ahh sorry gotcha.. sorry for the mis-understanding. Yeah thats one thing the world has got to understand - Oil companies are a bunch of greedy theiving bastards! If it doesnt make them lots of $$$ to release 98ron in Tassie, then they wont. They sure as shit aint doing it to make skyline drivers happy!
-
Hehe fair enough... I pity your engine if you're running regular!
-
-- EDIT - Sorry I mis-read your post!! SPEED limiter - Yes probably (I thought you said rev limiter - ie 5th gear @ 240km/h or whatever)
-
bastard... I get about 20 of those things every time I fill up and I've only won 2 x "BP Drive" CD's - whatever the f*ck that is!? lol.. i'll take the FPV thanks...

If you dont want to get your hands dirty, I'd recommend going to an auto electrician who could source the noise and end the buzzers life rather promptly! Otherwise the only other way would be to source the noise yourself, and destroy whatever is making the sound.. Be warned though, the same buzzer is probably used for the headlight warning when you open the door, so you may lose this fuctionality by killing the buzzer. I dont have an auto so im not sure. I dont think there is any -easy- way to do it other than to find the source of the noise and disable it! Let us know if you find the buzzer, and also where it lives, as my headlight buzzer is rather annoying also. I wouldnt mind disabling it as it's more of an annoyance to me than a convenience! - Jon

hmm interesting.. my memory isnt known for being great, but i could swear every time I see the price of ultimate, it's only 10c dearer.. oh well its only a couple of bucks per fill at the end of the day! Kinda annoying though that some servo's are charging more for the sake of profit
-
In NSW, ultimate is generally 10c dearer than regular. It's worth it IMO though! I can definitely feel the difference in power, and knock is much lower too - Lower than the 7-8% octane increase usually! more like 20-25% less knock compared to 91 ron!
-
From memory every time I've bought BP Ultimate, it's been exactly 10c dearer than regular unleaded. I visited a petrol station tonight that was charging 15c more for Ultimate than regular! Has anyone else noticed if there is a consistent difference in price between regular and ultimate?

GTR will be the same as GTS-T/GTT anyway. We need to get a metal fabricator into this. I've got some contacts. I'll make some enquiries and post in here by next weekend.

Yeah.. one reealy long month ... with like 90 odd days!

Bathurst would be great, but dont expect a huge turnout. Not as many people would want to come one such a long drive. I'd come though! It's a great drive!

"just buy a rb30 powered silvia"

Im not sure if there is anywhere suitable from memory, but I seem to remember a good spot or three at Palm Beach on the northen Syd beaches with lots of parking and BBQ's and such... Considering there would be a lot more Sydney folk than Central Coastians, this might be a better option?

Holy crap! Thats crazy!

daamn thats a great time for a car with no brakes! Fred Flinstone style eh?

I've got a lot of video to edit and burn to DVD. I'll organise to send out discs to those who want them once it's ready. I'll post in here once it's ready to go.. It'll be relatively un-edited (no music and such) so you can play with it as you please.

Fs: Hyundai Coupe Rd Sfx - Turbo 2l
Primordial replied to Primordial's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Yeah it's pretty nicely turned out aye! A lot of work has gone into it obviously! -
There's probably a good market for these mounts if someone could develop a professional mount like these for the skylines too. You would only have to make 3 different variants for each model (32,33,34) as GTS-T and GTR mount spots would be identical. I might look into this!

Awesome stuff Paul! It was no surprise to see your best lap as 1:09! I think someone else also mentioned the amount of grip your car has is phenominal! You had a great impact on the day by showing the first timers how it's done, and giving constructive advice to people you had a ride with. Thank you very much for the advice! ____________________________________________ I had to use my brakes (and my fire extinguisher!!) fairly heavily on the freeway! We had a truck towing a couple of motorbikes on a trailer in front of us, and the right hand wheel fell off the trailer. The hub slammed into the ground and sparks covered the entire road. A wheel and other assorted suspension gear almost took out my brother, but luckily caused no damage. The driver did amazingliy well to control the truck & trailer as it drifted sideways for a while and then came to a stop... I ended up having to use my extinguisher to put out the fire which resulted! Does anyone know whether its worth it to get the Quell(?) 1kg extinguisers recharged or is it cheaper just to buy a new one?

do you have a warning buzzer that tells you that you left your lights on if you open your door? It's not that buzzer gone haywire is it?
