Odd question, but how does it sound? A lot of people pan the 3L conversions for losing the distinct RB26 sound. I realise this well beyond a 26, but at least you've retained the block. How would you compare the sound or do you have any clips?

Fair enough. My 33 was my most fav engine sound I must admit.

How can you be a purist about displacement but be fine swapping out turbos, exhaust, injectors and ECUs lol I owned basic bolt on R33, nismo suspension, R34 turbos, tuned etc, been around DECA in Ash's 33 and in that Black 34, TPMGTR or TOPGTR or something like that on the plates. Loved them all.

No 3L? That torque though...

Nice work, man she looks heavy. Is there any substantial weight saving being done on R35s yet? When you look at Pro Class and see it being dominated by Evo's and Silvia's, you've gotta wonder if there's any way to really beat a light chassis without drag car levels of horsepower - which is useless on a control tyre anyway.

If you're there purely for the comp then I think the LiveStream might be the go, but the experience as a whole was great. Walking the pits in particular, chatting to drivers and teams, inspecting cars, getting up close to Nagata, Orido, Tanaguichi, etc, these are names I grew up watching on Jap DVDs etc. Plus the noise, the smell, the stress, it's amazing.

I think Tilton took out pro with a 24.8 with Scorch coming second and MCA third with a 25.x or so. Times on the site I thought? Facebook too.

Not a cheap issue to avoid either is it? A few K for solenoids, clips, and new fluid etc? LC is not a big deal to me as I have too much mechanical sympathy for that, I get what you're saying though, why have it if you can't use it. That said, my view on performance cars has always been pay to play, in that a car might be capable of a particular feat, but that doesn't mean you can do it all day every day and not expect the car to put up with it.
