Hi all, Going a different route with my setup so have my djetro + boost control kit for sale. includes 3 map sensors in total (2x denso ones for the djetro, 1x 3bar for the boost control kit) and all harnesses, as well as a brand new hand controller. Boost control kit includes an apexi solenoid (same as avc-r) so you don't need to run a separate EBC. Allows for 4 levels of boost. To suit BNR32/33. $1100 firm, not keen to split. 5. sweet. not sure what power i'll be making after the retune but hoping for a tad over 300 so might need to offload this and find something else. cheers gents
  6. Yep its a jap exaust (blitz front pipes, unknown catback). I've got some 3.5" flanges on the way but if i cant grind it out looks like cut and weld is the way to go.
  7. I recently acquired a 3.5" cat back and some new front pipes. My front pipe outlet however is 3" and so is the inlet on the catback (flange is 3" and pipe diameter is 3.5"). Guessing this is because most cats come in 3"? As I have a 3.5" cat on the way, wanting to know if its ok to port the flanges of the front pipes/catback out to 3.5"? Alternative is to weld new flanges on but thinking porting is much easier and I can do at home with a die grinder.
  8. Anyone know how much the nismo single will hold? Got that and matching lightened flywheel for a steal. Currently running an extreme hd metal clutch. Is a major PITA to drive
  9. i recently bought a rebuilt one, however upon further investigation it turns out the motor had been rebuilt ~9 years ago. No receipts were provided so I wasn't able to verify the build. Main things I looked for were: - interior, mine is one of the cleanest I have seen, no bubbling, cracks etc anywhere inside - bolt ons and supporting mods, gives a good indication of budget for the build (probably naive view but the better the bolt ons/supporting mods, the more money put into the build) - how it drives, although built a while ago, it still makes great power and drives well and solid on the road. A few things to sort out but hopefully the motor holds up for at least a couple more years. - underbody, check for rust and damage. sills on both sides of mine were gone, but didn't think it was much of an issue (its an old car after all, and I wasn't looking for a concourse worthy example for what I paid) The 32s at least 20yo cars now. Personally I would still look to buy something that has had the motor rebuilt.
  10. FYI the boys at JLM know there stuff and know how to have a good time too. Cars going in again to get a few things done, would recommend!
  11. Ahhh that makes sense now, awesome FAQ by the way!
  12. Thanks Piggaz! Anyone know about the map sensor wiring? Is it splice into the afm harness, or run it to the boost control port on the pfc?
  13. Bumping an old thread but just got a djetro. Where is the best place to tap the feed for the map senders? Install instructions say #3 and #4 but does anyone have any pictures of where specifically to drill? Also looking at paulr33's faq it say to splice the map sensors into the afm wiring, but then it says to splice into the boost control kit wiring. Which one is it? I also have the boost control kit which i'll be using.
  14. taking it in to see them this week. Spoke to todd on the phone and he def seemed to know his stuff.
  15. Hi guys, Can anyone recommend a mechanic in the lower north shore to take my gtr to? I want to get a couple of small oil leaks checked out. I have a mechanic in the southwest but since moving to this side of the bridge am struggling to find someone decent who won't cost me a left nut. Be keen to find out what you had fixed/looked at and also how much it cost too. Cheers, John
