  1. The guy got out of the car and struck a pose and surveyed the servo bfore he started to fill up the car. Every minute or so he re-surveyed the servo like a James Bond wannabe. Dunno, maybe he was looking back at me with contept since I was pissing myself laughing.
  2. It's not on my car ! lol But yeah, looks........ Only asking cause I've never seen one before and was wondering if it was factory or not. You could be right MR_XTC. Kinda looks like a Veilside V.
  3. I know I shouldn't take these pics and post em up but I lol'd so hard at this guy I figured you guys might too. Check out the hair colour and the racing gloves.........
  4. Does anyone have one of these on their GT-V ? ( the V part )
  5. Thanks for that info James. I guess through process of elimination ( per the codes ), I can narrow it down to either the coil packs or the ignition module or a wiring / connection issue. I cleard the error message and drove the car today and the fault didn't return so I guess I'll wait and see what happens. iseekool, yeah I have a consult cable from NewKleer and the program to interface with the car via my laptop ( which I think is the same sort of thing as the unit in that link ? ) Very cool software but it doesn't point directly to faulty components ( AFAIK ). Will wait and see what happens, then if it returns I'll try some coil packs. Anyway, thank for the responses guys
  6. Anyone ??
  7. Need a little assistance please.. First time I've ever seen the a warning light come on ( Check Engine ) so I hooked up the datascan and found Fault Code 21 ( 1st occurance ). Does this usually mean Coil Packs or ......?? Car is 2000 ER34 with RB25DE NEO ( VCT ) Did search but didn't find much so help would be great. Cheers.
  8. Saw this in the city on Sunday arvo...... Just thought someone might like a laugh.
  9. +1 Maybe you're just one of those people best suited to public transport ?!? Since a driving test is really only a "simple" exercise to test BASIC driving skills.........
  10. Cheers for the heads up. It's sort of a project on the slow boil atm. First thing I'm pondering is what sort of speedo error will result if I change from a 4.3 ratio to a 4.0 ? Who's good with maths ??
  11. IMO, stay away from air horns. They draw the wrong kind of attention and the pumps don't last long. I got a pair ( set ) of "Stebel Magnum" horns off eBay and they ROCK !! 139db makes the right statement when you need to Easy as to install and look factory.
  12. Just grab a decent camera with a flash and put it on the ground just behind the rear bumper and take 1 pic, then put the camera under the cat ( facing backwards ) and take another pic. That should do the trick. Cheers. If you're not sure where the cat is, is should be on the passenger side, in line with the front of the passenger side door.
  13. Richie, Any chance of some pics ? Would really like to see the mufflers used and general layout. Cheers.
  14. Actually I already have a decent jap cat-back system but I was wondering how good a factory turbo system is / could be on an N/A so I fitted one. Just fcuking around doing some homework really, more for the sake of those who are looking for a cheaper option. The fact is though, there are VERY few jap cat-back systems available for R34 N/A 4 doors and almost all aftermarket jap "turbo" systems that will bolt up are too loud. Anyway, the first post was the mainreason for posting. Still have no answer / idea.
  15. It's still N/A. It's just got a factory turbo cat-back exhaust system fitted to it now This muffler thing has me baffled ! I had a look up the back and a poke around and there doesn't seem to be and valves or flaps or anything up there so I think I'm just going to have to chalk it up to one of those unsolved mysteries. Just to prove I'm not crazy I'll take some vids and post em up when I get a chance. rgr34, It's not actually noisy with the turbo system fitted but it does have that rattle sound as you put the boot in ( that all stock skyline systems have ). So yeah, I'll probably throw a big oval muffler on the back but not sure if I want an offset one since I don't want it too quiet
  16. Cold at idle it growls. Cold on the road it sounds shit ( tinny ). Hot at idle it sounds OK and on the road hot it sounds kinda tinny but not too bad. I'm going to keep the system and just fit a better rear muffler ( big oval one ) and it should sound tasty.
  17. Thats the one with 2 pipes going into the back of the muffler, yeah ? Mine's only got 1 pipe going in & no valve. It's got me fcuked ! Gonna push some broom sticks up there and see if anything moves.
  18. Here's one for the die hard useless nissan info junkies out there. OK so the other day I fitted a factory turbo system to my N/A and this morning I start the car up and I'm walking around the back and notice the exhaust gas is only coming out of the left pipe / tip. I put my hand near the right tip and there's nothing coming out. Anyway, I drive to work and park the car, I get out and put my hand behind each pipe and now the hot air's coming out of the right pipe now and there's little to no gas coming out of the left tip. Is there some kind of thermo / bi-metallic flap in the factory muffler ?
  19. Only one I have is when it was first fitted & in my garage so it sounds heaps louder that it is now. Will get another one when I put it back on. Exhaust_Sample.wmv
  20. OK so I finally got around to fitting the stock turbo system. Here's some pics to compare stock N/A to Turbo systems. Flow is good but sounds like crap. Same tinny sound all stock systems have. I think I'll be keepin the cat-back but might throw a different rear muffler on the stock turbo system and see how that sounds. Anyway, here's some pics of the Fujitsubo system vs. the stock N/A system ( in case anyone's interested ).
  21. They're not the same. I have a stock N/A system and a stock turbo system and they are quite different in size. I have yet to fit the turbo system but when I do I'll post up some picks and a bit of feedback. *edit* I also have a Fujitsubo Legalis R cat-back system ( on my car at the moment ) and although it was a bit "$" it sounds awesome ! At idle it purrs, on cruise it's silent and when you get up it, it sounds like a BMW M3. Might be worth considering since it sounds like exactly what you're after ( unless you're on a tight budget ). Only reason I'm fitting the stock turbo system is to experiment. Don't know what I'll do if the stock turbo system turns out to be a winner
  22. Well maybe he's cleaned up his act since I was there. Sure sounds like it from what you guys are saying. When I was there I saw cars with rust, oil leaks, faded paint, faded interiors, repaired accident damage etc etc showing 64,000km. One of the car's that I saw that day ( in that condition ) was purchased by someone on this forum. He had owned it for about 2 months when I next saw it, and it was all patched up and buffed up then, but it was easy to spot the issues since I knew where and what they were. I guess at the end of the day, let the buyer beware ( no matter who you buy from )
  23. I can't vouch for the service, but while I was looking for my GTV, I went into the yard at Nagoya ( and workshop ) and had a "GOOD" look around with Alex's counterpart ( Alex was out ) and all I can say is..... And since I'm not allowed to say anything bad about anyone on a public forum, re-arange the followng words to create the correct sentance: back. odo's All blatently wound were cars
  24. Slaps own forehead........ Just looked and it's RC43. RC40 looks like it'll be a winner. Thanks for your help Dan
  25. Thanks Dan. You would'nt happen to know if an R34 diff ( non GT-R ) is the same as R33 GTS-t in fitment ? What I want to do is put a lower ratio diff in my car to get more out of the revs ( especially on the Freeway ). The GTT - Auto - RC40 - 4.0 : 1 diff might be just what I need. Really need to find out my diff ratio now
