BLITZ Dual SBC - SYD
TokyoTaxi replied to TokyoTaxi's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hi, You should all have a pic ( not a great one - phone camera ) of the Blitz Boost Controller ( Control Unit ). At $250 it's a bargain and if you ask anyone from this forum who's purchased from me in the past, I'm sure they'll attest to the fact that I have never sold anything bad -
As the title says, I have a daicast scale model of the NISSAN Motorsport R32 GT-R for sale. It's still in the box with the certificate of authenticity etc, etc. Car has the markings for Skaife and Richards. The condition of everything ( including the box ) is PERFECT. Looking for offers over $250 Car send an email with a pic if required. ( Not a great pic )

[for Sale] Gtr R32 Front Bar
TokyoTaxi replied to Hiroshima Screamer's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
I've just been told that it is possible. You can cut a wedge out of the bar just underneath the indicator / outer edge of the headlight and then plastic weld the gap together when it's pulled into place, then repaint the bar if you want to fit it to a 32 GTS-T. -
[for Sale] Gtr R32 Front Bar
TokyoTaxi replied to Hiroshima Screamer's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Nissky, I've been told that a genuine R32 GT-R front bar will not fit properly on a GTS as the guards are wider on a GT-R and when you pull them in to fit them to a GTS they'll crease and the paint will come off under the outer parts under the headlights. Just what I've been told but it might be wrong SKYLINEGTR, Please understand, not putting down your product at all. Just telling a fellow GTS owner about a possible problem. -

BLITZ Super Sound DD BOV
TokyoTaxi replied to TokyoTaxi's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
bump OK, I've found all the bits and pieces so it's a complete kit, still in the box, with the instructions. After looking at everything again on the weekend I can say with my hand on heart that this BOV ( kit ) is still new !! There's not even dust on it. So if you're one of the SYDNEY buyers who was interested, please get back to me as soon as possible and whomever gets back to me first with the prior offer of $270 ( or better ) can have it. -
Roy, Please don't take offence to this, but I usually don't tell anyone where my car is going to be unless I'm going to be there with it. I'm happy to share results afterwards
-
That would be Nissky's fault

Joel, So long as your seals etc are in good nick you can go ahead and use synthetic fluid. Keep in mind, it's synthetically manufactured but still has the same basic properties ( but much better of course ) so it should have no adverse effects on your brake system. You just have to remember that when you change your fluid you've only changed one of the many facets of your brake system so you'll end up with a firmer pedal but MAY then transfer the problem to another place thus giving you the impression that the fluid has caused the problem. Clint32, Don't be surprised if you don't get a very good pedal after you change to Castrol SRF as quite a few people I know have found out. I've turned most people I know towards Motul RBF and since then none of us has had any problems. From what I understand, SRF is great for big brake systems like ARP, Willwood etc but is just not suited to factory brake systems. I only believe this because I've seen it with my own eyes many times. Motul RBF is also cheaper
-
I wasn't talking about YOU spewing........probably be me Brakes are EBC Rotors and EBC Greenstuff pads and some other basic mods. Also using Motul Synthetic Brake Fluid. If you really want to see how the brakes work I'll take you out around Wakefield where the back tyres damn near come off the ground.

You betta believe I want 400rwkw but I know it aint gonna happen with this car & on my budget !! Nissky, Next track day we'll go for a blat and see if I really NEED that 400rwkw:spew:

I had a split gasket on the turbo outlet and didn't have enough thread on the wastegate actuator to preload the actuator enough to keep the wastegate closed under boost so I fixed them and now it seems pretty good. I also fitted a split dump pipe off the turbo with a divider to seperate the primary exhaust and wastegate gasses which helped.
-
Well all, After much buggering around I resolved a few of the problems and most were NOT the turbo's fault much to my surprise. The turbo ( R34 GT-T Compressor & Turbine Housings with a GT2530 core ) makes boost early and will hold more than 1.3bar up to rev cut at 8,400rpm so I'm not complaining at all. I've yet to get the car back on the dyno and do the final tune but when I do I'll be sure to let y'all know how it worked out so future players won't make the same mistakes I did. I'd also like to say that GCG helped me along the way and were still willing to help further, so no bad words for them.

BLITZ Super Sound DD BOV
TokyoTaxi replied to TokyoTaxi's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
To all who've PM'd me I'm sorry for the delay in responding but I have not been able to get to a computer until now. The BOV is still for sale but I'm just trying to find the 2nd outlet port ( I was making a template from it so it's got to be somewhere handy but I just have to find it ). I will let you all know as soon as I find the other outlet and then I'll do the deal with whomever. Again, sorry for the delay & incovenience. -

r32 oil pressure guage should be at...
TokyoTaxi replied to ScarifieR's topic in General Maintenance
I've tried damn near every so called good brand of oil out there except for the "really expensive" stuff like Mobil 0 and I've settled with Penzoil Full Synthetic 5W-50. According to Nissan, the correct weight of oil required for an RB engine is 7.5W-40 and that's what some of the Nissan dealers in Sydney have in the bottles marked with the nissan and GT-R logo. As for the oil pressure, I've seen heaps of turbo nissan's that read next to zero pressure on the gauge ( mine included ). Almost every time, when the pressure is checked at the oil pressure switch, it's fine. Inside the Oil Pressure gauge is a red light which is on before starting. Should this come on while driving, you've got a problem.
