  2. seeing as the gt35 will see full bost at around 4000rpm. i dont really call that alot of lag. then include the fact that im gonna be running a 3.0L setup. so i expect lag to be close to not even worrying about

  4. im not saying im super supreme (pun?) in anyway but i used to smash alot of stock r32 GTRs on a rollby but would get wasted off the line. but i would start catching up easily, but not enough to call it a victory. normally when i see a GTR i dont bother running off the line. maybe after i beat them real bad on the roll. this was wen my car was at 250rwkw. so i cant wait to get my gt35 3.0L on the road =] P.S i would like to explain again i dont think myself as uBur l33t. but just to give u an idea. wat do 32 gtrs output stock?
  5. would u be able to just put stock injectors back into the car and plug the stoclk ecu back in and still be able to run the aftermarket turbo? just to pass the test not to boost or anything. and after the test just pop everything back in?
  6. i see, im sure fuel puimps and injectors aint a big issure, should be easy to hide. what about turbos?, only option is low mount?
  7. f*k me but realli? i didnt no that lol. why is it illegal to upgrade turbos? i understand that bovs are "noise polution" but why turbos im thinking about going full stealth, black plenum, black cooler pipes, black cooler core and lowmount the turbo (if it fits with the big rb30 block)
  8. actually he dosnt. i asked him when i saw him. unless i misunderstood but he explained his using something else. he complained that a 3.0L was to much of a hassle. he used something smaller size wise.
  9. thats exactly what i wanna know. how do therse 800hp beasts get around town. i know alot of GTRs who run ungraded TTs in the stock position are very easy. keeping the air filter still in place helps the illusion that its all still stock. it dosnt take much to modify a rb26 for insane power. Supras aswell. but all in all very good tips buddy. unfortunately the way my car looks i dont think i have much of a chance. the red Ps aint to bad because of the bandly tinted windows on the rear. cops never even realise it is a P plater until they see my licence. its not illegal to have a topmount turbo, ive been able to get away with cooler/pod explaining that ahem ahem "GTR"s have coolers stock (ahaha i no i no) my boost controller is hidden very very well. my screamer pipe is boxed up from the engine bay with a custom carbon fibre box which also wraps around my abs unit. and i dont have a HC for my PFC inside my car. althouhg ive just mounted 2 guages on the A Piller. the one GOOD thing with my car was that it had suspension as high as SUVs. but since i bouhgt new wheels and actually lowered the car. im worried even more now lol. what are the most common defects issued these days? ill list mine GT Wing To Low To Loud Boost Controller Guages Cooler/Pod anything else guys?
  10. aside from driving like a hoon emesta. ive got to be one of the slowest skyline drivers there are. i never ever speed and havnt even done my 1st burnout hahahah (tyres expensive ) but ive been pulled over none stop everytime i drive the car. my cars fairly legal at this point but after the rebuild i dont think it will be that easy wat kind of setup u runnning emesta? cuz like i said before, i find it hard for a cop not to pick at things wen he sees a 800hp turbo staring in his face.
  11. well cubes i must say ur one of the luckier ones. i got defected already about stupid stuff like pod/cooler. at one stage it got to a point where i was put on notice by vicroads to crash test my car to see if the intercooler affected my airbags. i know insane huh? but thats victoria. i am proberly one of the slowest drivers ull ever meet. i 300c would of suited me more then a skyline lol. have u got a top mount or a low mount cubes? aint u running a pod/cooler? return or hybrid style
  12. ive been wondering ever since i put my car in to get the whole thing reworked, how do others with highly modied cars, big hp applications, or just a massive top mounted turbo staring out of the engine bay go about driving with the risk of being defected. aint alot o u guys worried about getting defected and being forced to rip half the engine out to put back into stock standard? i would especially like to hear from Victorians about this matter. and lets just say for arguments sake not driving like a idiot is 2nd nature
  13. wat are ur guys opinions with defects and stuff? do u think doing a RB30 conversion and possibly keeping it lookn legal would be possible with a massive top mount gt35 staring at the coppers face lol. on a serious note how do any of u guys who have extreamly high powered cars go about keeping away from defects? hrmmm i feel like this is new topic material. **andru clicks "new thread" button**
  14. i was thinking the same thing. maybe ben just meant that u did have to change the mounts which is a bit of a stuff around. he seems like a real lazy guy ahhahhaha. awsome bloke though. i was thinking with the extra 200cc for literally more then half the price of a 2.8 stroker kit. its worth it. well apart from racepace who else do u guys recommend for 3L converrsions? how much bigger are the bays of 33/34 compared to the 32s
  15. dropped into racepace today to talk to ben and his opinions on a rb30/25 conversion. his not very fond of the things to my surprise. he wouldnt even take on any rb30/25 jobs. he suggested that i got get some sort of 2.8 HKS stroker kit for 9k. his main concern is that the 30 block wont fit into the engine bay with all the other crap in there. wats ur input guys? im kinda put off about the rb30 now. i thought it was a perfect solution for my torque demands.
  16. the only reason ur car stalls wen its at full atmo is because u havnt tuned it to have a fulla tmo BOV. i run a atmo bov all day every day and it never stalls ever.

  20. hows it going guys, more questions from me was thinkin the other day since im gonna be runnin 3.0L would exhaust housing size would be efficient with a gt35? obviously a .65 is out the window but would a 1.06 be to large and laggy? im leaning towards a .86 but wanted ur opinions on the larger one.

    thats the shit thing about buying from a dealer in japan, they are bloody dodgy. its alot better to buy from an auction because the guys try there best to get everything as accurate as possible. then again auctions have a target of getting x amount of cars out the door aswell so its always hard unless u have inside help

    looks sweet, id paint the lip at the front and change the nismo sides and rear like u said, they look terrible. how much did she set ya back? and wens it arriving? defiantly a hot buy, although 14,000kms is a bit suss. wat year? any atm engine wise?
  23. if u have a return style cooler then it shouldnt be a problem, if u have a hybrid style, then forget factory cooler placing cuz it wont work as for the boost controller, if ur only runnin 10psi the single will do the job
  24. yeh ur right its not that expensive its about 1.5k more id say, and the bonuses are 10x more. how much would a 26head go for? i was told aaround 2k maybe? selling the full motor and stuff for around 5 would see me with 2-3k in my pocket. maybe a that flame thrower kit for christmas i always wanted thats why im here man lol, the car isnt gonna start work for a while, so i got about a couple of weeks before parts are slapped on. basicly they just ordering parts mandatory for a 2.5setup anyway, and lookn into the 3.0 if all goes well, great. if not, ill go the 25 with a smaller turbo
  25. u wouldnt believe how good i am at my job AHAHHAHA i didnt mean wat to expect as in power figures. as in will i run into certain problems having the 3.0L also i have been talkn with a friend about possibly getting rid of the 25 head and slammin in a 26 head, resulting in not buying a plenum(save 1k) and selling the motor as a whole to have some $$$ in my pockets. does anyone see this workn?
