    R33 Timing Belt

your car wont run without a timing belt dude, might run/idel rough with a really worn belt. But its either on or off. Check your belt for gashes/splits and replace if need be. if you water pump if fuged, your motor is going to run real hot! as water isnt circulating through your radiator & motor. If you cook your motor, your also fuged. Depending how bad you cook it, you could be up for a new motor. (as the motor+ head expandes under pressure, and never returns to orginal state. Leaving your head/motor warped in some areas. This will mean that water is going to get into your oil, diffrent compression readings accross all 6 cylinders. etc.)

    R33 Timing Belt

Yep..."Snap" + "stall" + 12 bent valves +3 busted pistons + $2500 for a new engine. Its worth changing every 70,000 +100,000Ks and inspect it every now and again. Its rubber, it wears, & it controlls 75% of the motor. Its probly worth getting those kevlar Greddy belts.
  3. ROFL!@ the bendigo boys!!! you live closer to sydney dont you R34GTT-R??
  4. WOW!!! 180,000 YEN!!! FFS!! thats about 2300AUD!!
  5. Your aftermarket BOV will replace your stock BOV. If you really must run a aftermarket BOV, i would recommend the GFB stealth. You can have them fully venting, or plumback @ the flick of a switch. http://www.gofastbits.com.au/stealth.htm I wouldnt bother personaly, keep the stockie. You get enough attention from the cops just driving a import, dont give them another reason to pull you over. Cheers, Trev
  6. Let me get this straight! Apexi make 2 FC models?? A Djetro, wich uses the map sensor and the "normal" FC that uses the damnd AFM!? Is there any price diffrence between the two? Can the APexi dJetro run without a AFM at all? cheers, trev
  7. http://www.users.bigpond.com/allanreynolds...enewtwinvl.html Explains it in here. Cheers, Trev
  8. bahh, dont need oil squirters! if 9 sec VLs run without them youl be fine. Just make sure you have a good oil pump. & youl be laughing!
  9. How much would you be asking? PM me if you like.. Cheers Trev
  10. As the subject says, after the Air flow meter off of the V8 Infinity motor. Cheers, Trev
  11. These Q45 AFM, were can you them from? so far i have heard there as rare as rocking horse shite!, and when you do find them they cost big $$$ were do you get yours from? What motor are they off of? is the motor aussie manufactured? what car are they out of? cheers, Trev are there any alternative AFMs you can use? besides the Z32 & q45?
  12. **Anyway are we working on a full guide for this conversion using standard R33 bits ?? Yep coming allong VERY nicely! =) Cause of all this good shit in here! so keep talking guys. The guide so far covers: -Heapes of comparison photos of RB30 vs RB25 vs RB26 parts. (oil pumps/water pumps/flywheels/cranks/flywheels etc) -Compression Ratios with diffrent combination of pistons E.g (RB30 DET vs RB30NA) -What belts & gaskets to buy - how to retain VCT (step by step with photos) - Price guide (everything broken down) - Installation of the motor. - Cooling comparisons (Stock Oil & water coolers) Effectiveness VS Cost - Fuel system (Pumps/ injectors / rails/ regs) - Computers (Best to suit this conversertion (availability, tunability & price all kept in mind) - Photos photos & more photos!!! Its practicly a picutre book! 7 rolls of film so far, only about %65 through the guide! =)
  13. I am talking about OE Hypereutectic pistons, havent looked into these KB ones
  14. alot of people didnt listen to me in the RB30 thread about these pistons. i wasnt going to run forgies after speaking to several professional motor builders about these pistons. THey all swear by them and say that they have never had any come back (split/broken) under pressure. Pistons only VERY rarley let go, due to the strength the piston. strength isnt the only reason to buy a set of forgies. It doesnt matter what set of pistons you buy, if its not tuned properly its gona let go! One of the big "pros" of using a set of forged pistons is the weight factor. Lighter piston = less strain/pressure on the rod = higer boost = more power If they refine the Hypereutectic piston (make it lighter), you will find that it will quickly become the performance industrie standard.
  15. Hi guys, I have a freind who is after a complete, perfect condition, 4 door skyline. Preferably turbo. (wants to go dddoorrrifftingg with the family)
  16. Dimensions of cooler? Type of piping? Alloy? steel? Cheers, Trev
  17. Quoted from matts email: My car is making around 330rwkw and the AFM is up to about 4.8volts (so 0.3volts of resolution left)... turbo - it's a hybrid T04R/T66...
  18. i think they are guides more than anything... Because Matt shouldnt be able to produce the amount of power that he is ! Looks like i should run a Q45 AFM with a ApexiFc, my power aim is the same as matts. i would be perfectly happy with that! 320RWKW. Now next step: getting the AFM?? does anyone know were? and how much?
  19. Sorry Joel you were correct, i asked him just now in a email and it is 440 @ the flywheel. =) Woops!
  20. Thanks Sydneykid, I was speaking to Matt.lowth, (440RWKW R33) Rb30/25. And he is running a Z32 AFM with a APexi FC!!!???!!? Generating a proven 440RWKWS>>???? WTF!? is this possable? or is his computer possesed!?
