  1. Whats the diffrences between the Neo RB25DET & normal RB25DET??
  2. Weres the damage?? has it been poked up the bum? front smashed? T-boned? just so it gives us a idear of whats left. Cheers, Trev

    rb26dett

RB26 has a slightly larger displacement, the valves are SLIGHTLY bigger on the head. and the cams are diffrent. And of corse the obvoiuse twin turbo setup, and diffrent intake & induction. Also sump is diffrent as the 4WD setup / front axels run through it. All in all, not that much diffrence (internally). In my opinoin your better off (Financially) to do work to your RB25, or undertake a RB30/25 hybrid setup. RB26s are good, but there not god. Spend half the amount of money that you would spend on purchasing the RB26 on the RB25 and you will murder any RB26.
  4. sell it to a dj as a 800watt stobe light
  5. SOLD!! Thanks everyone.

  7. comon guys, i have to get rid of this! Any offers?
  8. Does anyone know what core it uses? i am not paying $688 for a truck core....
  9. Make a (Sensible) offer!!
  10. and for $600 bucks can you go wrong??
  11. Hey guys, Has anyone bought one of these? there pretty cheap... Anyone know what core they use? How they flow? are they good quality? Heres the Details Heres a couple of pics: Hope you guys can help, Cheers, Trev
  12. My mates VL running T88, 22PSI all day on stock N/A bottem end. Spent over $800 in tuning, but it is possable.
  13. Ok, forced to sell this cheap now. Any offer above $250 is sold!
  14. Perhapes this is because the VL boyz are only running a SOHC 12 valve head. To compensate for the lack of genral flow in the combustion chamber they have to run lower compression ratios. And with those T04s, = more air = gasses not escaping quick enough because theres not enough flow in the head = detenation = lower compression ratios = less detenation Hope that makes sense. CHeers, Trev
  15. In melbourne, but i will COD to anywhere. sorry guys its $150, that includes shipping. Its only 2 months old, and barely been used. Perfect condition & includes adapter. Cheers, Trev. PM me if your seriouse.
  16. SOLD Hi guys, As the subject says i have a GFB, Mach 1, BOV & adapter for a RB25 for sale. Been used for 2 months, reason for sale is i have recently bought a HKS SSQ BOV & the Mach 1 is gathering dust. Perfect condition, $150 and i will COD. Valve is worth $280 retail, without the adapter. Cheers, Heres some info off there website about the BOV: GFB Blow-Off Valves are the only valves on the market to boast these unique features: · The brass piston features a taper that in the closed position seats against an acetal seal that means it WILL NOT LEAK under boost. The bore also features a quad-ring seal to maintain the integrity of the vacuum signal that opens the valve for quick reaction. All the other valves in this class rely on the diameter of the piston for sealing, and after a while the wear associated with the operation of the valve will increase the amount of air that leaks out through the bore. · During operation the piston of a blow-off valve shuts rapidly onto the stop, where the acetal seal in the GFB valve cushions the impact. Other valves do not have this feature, and eventually the soft brass piston can become severely damaged, causing jamming problems due to brass flakes. · Manufacture of GFB products is carried out on the latest multi-axis CNC machines under the international quality standard ISO 9000. · GFB Blow-Off Valves are physically smaller whilst retaining the same high airflow characteristics of other valves, however the smaller size means they are more suited to modern engine bays. · GFB Blow-Off Valves are versatile. They can be mounted in two different ways, either as a push fit inside the factory rubber hoses with a variety of different sized fittings to suit all turbo vehicles, or they can be mounted onto a 1 inch O.D. steel or alloy pipe. · The piston uses less material for low inertia, which translates to a faster response time.

    R33 Timing Belt

Timing is timing dude! all happens in 1/10th of second. Wether its a nissan, dihatsu, or alfa! just make sure you belts ok, and make it a genral rule of thumb when you service your car. (i service my car... as i dont like the idear of 15Y/O, year 9 drop outs, apprenticese's, servicing my car! and i also dont like the idear of the shitty generic oils and belts that nissan use & not to mention my biggest fear........whos car they choose to get the lunches!) Just a quick tip for the people who are extreamly paranoid, take a photo (with the date printed on the photo) of you odometer. They shouldnt move the car more than 100M...... if they do... ask why? and ask for a complete service report. I have many freinds who work at these places and dont feel completley secure about having a "geniune" nissan or holden service. They all hire apprentices.
  20. From headers back there should be 3 stock obstrusctions in this order: cat, resinator, muffler. And the muffler is the heavist part of you exhaust... (if its stock that is..) While were on this topic.... i had to put the stock exhaust back on my car (Fugen EPA) and i have noticed that on the right exhuast tip on the muffler, there is a "butterfly" plate covering it!! WTF!??? and what the hell does that connect to??? i got it tested and pulled 73DB!!!!!! Quieter than a electirc lawnmower ffs! anyone know what it hooks up too?

    R33 Timing Belt

All for a $80 timming belt! A valuble lesson for everyone!
  22. I think the version you are refering to is the Djetro.... This is just means that the primary sensor of the computer is undertaken using the MAP sensor rather than AFM. Hence no resolution limits using AFMs! (allthough AFM are more accurate) Heres a power restriction guide for you if your going to run a AFM setup: 1 X RB20/25 AFM = 370 bhp = 220 rwkw 1 X Z32 AFM = 420 bhp = 260 rwkw 2 X RB26 AFM's = 475 bhp = 300 rwkw 2 X Z32 AFM's = 700 bhp = 470 rwkw 1 X Q45 AFM = 480 bhp = 300 rwkw 2 X Q45 AFM's = 850 bhp = 550 rwkw I havent seen anyone using a Djetro version of the FC so i cant say how it performs. And as for the diffrences regarding the computers i wouldnt have a clue! Cheers, Trev.

    R33 Timing Belt

I think that if they just had to replace a timing belt you got ripped off! ( but then again it is a alfa!) & i dont know how hard they are too change on the alfas! But if you motor sustained any damage due to the belt and the head had to come off... that price sounds pretty standard. Cheers, Trev

    R33 Timing Belt

Guys, just for a bit of genral info about the timing belt: Timing belt controls both camshafts in the RB20,25,26,30 camshafts control valves & valve timing inside the combustion chamber. Valves control the amount of fuel + air entering and exiting the combustion chamber. if the timing belt snaps, the cams & valves stop turning & lifting, but the crank still spins a short time after. This is wear the damage occurs. Ignition is still active, injectors are still fireing fuel into "stuck open valves" & closed valves. This all will stop in a few seconds after the belt breakes. You might be able to buy a new belt, and start it straight away without any problems. Or you may be up for a new head, set of valves, or a couple of pistons. Its just luck! hope this helps.
