  1. If you actually read the current issue.. SPEED has probably already receivde quite a few emails/mails about the Integra type R featured in it... (not that we really care about honduh ) This is what SPEED replied to one of the loyal readers/buyers: Hi, Yeah, quite a few people picked up on that blooper. It's supposed to be 169km/h.   2. You are better off buying 2nd hand S15 factory turbo, can support roughly 185+ kW at rear while it is a bolt on job. About $1k for good condition one. Just one of the GTR turbos would be too small even compare to factory S14 turbo.

I think I meant to say unbolt the crossmembers and then engine/gearbox come out under the car in one go... any experienced shops would know that Taking engine out from the top will take ages, simply due to messy twin turbo plumbings and so on. Since you are changing from auto to manual gbox, you only need to hook up speedo and reverse to the main gearbox. You will need to consult other ppl worked on GTR to see about the wirings for transfer case etc... (I only have R33 RWD gbox so don't know much ) Probably safe to change all the wirings at ecu side as well? (save the headache from time consuming process to modify) there are ecu pins used by 26 but not used by 20. (2 AFMs signals for examples...) Make sure you take plenty of pics through out the process and post them on web somewhere.
  4. boostmeister would be the person you should consult with.. I can see you want to build a daily drivable thats capable of 12s on track.. You might want to visit: http://www.amkread.co.jp/ and check out some of the records... there should be a HNR32 (GTS4) with RB20DET 2.4litre T88 that ran 9.8s... You won't see any RB20DET 2.0litre cars break into low 11s or 10s as in Japan they don't use full slick tyres.
  5. High Octane 3 will feature the project you are currently considering. Basically remove your engine+drivetrain by unbolting your engine+gbox crossmembers and drop engine+drivetrain out under the car, change wiring, add all clutch pedal related and use as much parts from frontcut as possible, reverse the removal procedure to bolt up 26+gbox. GTS4 is so much easier to do 26 swap compare to GTSt.. Good idea to also change fuelpump.

  8. 32 GTSt uses powersteering reservoir for HICAS application as well, so the boot of GTSt only got HICAS ecu. Nissan sure likes to make GTR bit more complicated..

  10. That car is indeed the rare Autech version. Basically a 4door GTS4 with Auto 4wd gearbox and replaced RB20DET with RB26DETT and retuned to N/A, and a special "RB26" badge to replace the "GTS4" badge.

  12. I've seen WWW98 around, that's William's r33 gtr. Rumoured to have 2 x y2k turbos and stroked capacity. Lots of $$$ spent so no wonder he takes it easy most of the time. Even though I'm not big on the paint and stupid high rear wing/body kits, gotta give credit to its speed.

  15. replacement cable? I thought you were after the speedo instrument ... doh sorry I'v only got the instrument not the speedo sensor+cable etc.. Let me know if you want the speedo instrument as I'm getting lost in all these jargons ...

  19. cam, check your speedo sensor at gearbox, mine had some L joint thing that broke and connect the sensor directly onto gearbox without the L joint and its all good. If you use 16" or 15" with street tyres and low pressure then you might gain tiny bit on the traction side of thing... and the jap ppl uses nitto or semi slick tyres which is almost as good as slicks anyway. It was still good to see u and jay51 race together hehe..

  21. I prefer cruising at night as I havn't wash the car for so long its damn dirty
  22. mine looked stock except chopped up front bar for extra "radiator" cooling goes slower than stock as I'm still running in that engine...
