  1. Interesting stuff. Trailing arms? Are they the rear control arms? But the proper name for them?
  2. Are the R31 rear struts really lower then standard r30 ones? My mate at pedders measured them up and the actual strut body of the R30 is shorter then the 31 strut. If this is the case how does the 31 strut lower the rear if in fact it is actually longer??
  3. Great Condition, purchased recently but no longer needed. Is whole housing with centre. Ratio is 3.7. Item is in perfect working condition came from a car that had only 71,000km on it. $80ono
  4. $150k?? Whats that the most expensive R30 skyline in the world or something????
  5. Thats the one!!!!!!!!!
  6. Link Fixed..
  7. I didnt know they came twin cam? What head is it???
  8. thats what i thought. They put the rubber there for a reason after all!!! Just looks nice to have a shiny silver moustache bar, but thats about it i suppose..
  9. Boxed Solid Moustache Bar This looks good..
  10. if you can do that it would be great. What did it used to support an r200 or an r180? that diff must have been stuck on real good! That spark must have killed!! At least you didnt get your eye..
  11. spewin, was hopin they made the bolts the same distance apart, therefore being able to use my original moustache bar
  12. With THIS diff cover, would the standard R180 moustache bar be of any use? Also with the diff cover gaskets, are they readily available in oz? For memory last time i went to repco and bursons they were useless, had to buy gasket paper and make my own..
  13. so pretty much all non turbo silvias and skylines which are r200 open shortnose. are the centres to look for in lsd form to suit the drive shafts off an R30?
  14. sounds like a bargain!!!
  15. Champion. Great read!
  16. Are these datsun items still available or would a good second hand one do??
  17. I have always wanted to put either r32 gtr rims on or r33 gtst rims. Probably wont eventuate but would be nice..
  18. DR30 Shafts Click the link above. What do you think these shafts are? To me they look like they mate with an R180 and not an R200 but i could be wrong. Cheers
  19. did all DR30's come out with R200's?
  20. So true. I got distracted by the ca18 and i forgot about the FJ! I take everything back!!
  21. The way i look at it, if im gonna build something, im not gonna be looking for fuel economy. Keep the six in the skyline or if you are going to go 4cyl then definately an sr20 not a ca18. The silvia's boogy with these and with the r30 probably being lighter you could get one to up and go nicely! But definately an sr20!! Then again, mine is not also that bad on fuel, is pretty crappy around town but once i hit the highway i get a good 500-550km to a tank. You just gotta drive the car off boost and you will be fine, as soon as you get that turbo working the fuel guage follows..
  22. well done, great score!!
  23. I just found some more, as you can see, the engine fits like it was meant to be there!!
  24. Here are some pics of the bay, they are pretty crappy. Ill eventually get around to taking some better ones, but you get the idea from these anyway. There is so much room in the bay to work ok the car. Parts are easier to get and cheaper!! Might be the only rb30et powered r30 with standard manifolding?? Im not sure, but i always read about the plenum hitting the bonnet and people running custom plenums etc.. Cheers
  25. Yeah, Dennis has seen the car in the flesh when he came to pick up a gearbox. Top bloke he is!! Although he reckons its got too many doors! It still has an rb30 in it! The wheels look better with the centre caps on, calder make them take you off incase they fly off, as if they are just gonna fly off!!
