  1. what about DRIFFT or DRIFTT i think it was from perth, he sold his ages ago though and i have spoken to him a few times since. top bloke and very helpful saft from NZ doesnt post on here very often either but he is a wealth of good info on going fast in a stagea as his dads one ran a high 11 ages ago in a rb26 rs four. thats about all i can think of.
  2. nice quick reply ill leave the taillights at the moment but im definately in for the other indicator sets when ever it goes ahead
  3. hahah, i have a timing belt change down to about a 30 min job which most workshops charge a fortune for, its something ive done about 5 times in a row from front cam seals leaking so i know what bolt sizes every single thing is hehe. engines been in and out minimum 5-6 times and gearbox seriously in and out 15 times atleast from sorting out clutch issues. i think i remove the engine like people do oil changes hehe. ive almost given up on that car sooo many times but all the money and time ive spent i want to feel and see the end result before some other lucky bugger gets it for half of what its worth and sorry to get offtopic mate, good luck with the 260rs i wish i had bought one instead of doing the conversion stuff around
  4. series 1 front bumper CLEAR indicators and series 1 front gaurd CLEAR indicators is what im after any idea on prices for rear taillights from a series 2? thanks Brad
  5. i actually thought the gills looked great and gave it abit of style instead of just a plain bland flat surface so once everyones paid how long till the parts are expected on my doorstep?
  6. gtr wont fit as different stud patterns but u could get an adaptor plate made, or the easier option is the greddy version for the rb25 i seem them for around $900 new from autobahn i think. just remember the stock plenum is perfect for upto 450rwhp i think from the info ive heard from sydneykids posts so its not gonna do anything but make it look neater and im sure the factory plenum actually gives better response than the large greddy style ones, but i may be wrong. the greddy plenum has alot more internal volume to the stock unit. ive seen the gtr plenum modified for a rb20det engine and they actually lost power and response from the swap over from stock setup. shorter piping does look alot nicer but i dont think it would be worthwhile in 99% of cases for just a slightly shorter inlet distance. im sure gary will give his opinion soon enough
  7. no u couldnt as its not fulltime 4wd like a wrx so its rwd 99% of the time. and the transfer case clutches are tiny and only made to work for minimal amounts of time before they will burn out. why would u want to anyways? cheers Brad
  8. hey andy is that a modified stock stagea washer bottle is it or another one from a different car? i gotta sort something out for mine now that i can actually drive the old girl my piping (3") and greddy type r bov (big sucker) are under the spot so i got absolutely stuff all room unfortunately. might have to make up an aluminium one to suit the room i have.
  9. hey shaun good purchase mate so u gonna be up for a stagea cruise in the next month or so ??? the more the better good luck and hope to hear more from you on the stagea section of the forums cheers Brad
  10. it says twins not a single rb26s13 so they are perfect sizes, poncams are tooo small i got 272/11.35mm lift and im running a single t04z so it just depends on what u want to do with the car. bigger means more lag and higher efficiency in the higher rev ranges. but smaller will kill the max power and top end pulling. thats my 2c worth
  11. no worries mate good luck on the dyno mines planned for later in the week also so im excited as hell
  12. cause im nissans best customer hahaha, ive got a couple of old oil filter boxes in my garage from my run in oil changes i been doing so i just went outside and grabbed it to get the no. i didnt have it stored in my head its abit of a big number to remember i have spent more time in the past 12 months under/in/on my stagea than i sleep, that i could name a spanner size for almost any bolt on that entire car (dunno if thats a good thing or a bad thing though haha )
  13. so where is your window washer bottle then??? do u still have one???
  14. nope, its gotta be legal on the 2 front windows and rear back glass, which is 35% in WA from memory. im gonna tint my fronts and rear back glass anyway the same as the back side windows to make it look better. pretty cheap to do and if i get a yellow sticker its only $150 worth and ill just redo it after the sticker comes off hehe
  15. ive seen a white one in mindarie a few times with plates [i THINK I] and a couple of other older people in a few pearl white ones, and a painter drives a white one with a big cooler on the front. theres a black one with black rims getting around too that was from autowholesale a while ago. they sound pretty common now which is a bummer still love the looks on peoples faces when they see it but (and hear it), makes me laugh everytime had a older guy almost break his neck trying to rip his head out his car window to have a look as i went past the opposite way on friday arvo haha
  16. just a question when running the intake side under the battery tray through the side i now have no room for my window washer bottle hows everyone else doing it with the same setups??? or do u just get a smaller washer bottle from soemthing else???? mines the 26 but it still runs through the same spot just under the battery tray but just above the chassis rail. ideas peoplz??? heres a pic of where my pipe runs through the body
  17. yer i was thinking the same today actually, i need a set of clear front bar indicators and side indicators as orange looks boring. ill grab them asap if possible any ideas on costs and time frame or if its even going ahead still? might just buy em off nengun otherwise. thanks Brad
  18. yer thats the ryco number, the nissan part no. is 15208-H8911AU for the oil filter
  19. hey mate u can pull it out and oil wont come out of the box as its totally sealed inside where the shaft goes into the transfer case. all u need is 2 x 12mm spanners im pretty sure to get it off. just remove the 4 bolts from the sump end of the shaft and slide it out the transfer case and its done i been running around in 2wd without the shaft in for ages now without a problem and i know 100% that its sealed in the transfer case shaft hole even a big workshop told me it wasnt sealed until i checked and it infact is a sealed unit as we have had the transfer case stripped down in our garage into about 20 pieces checking the clutch packs. hope it makes sense mate Brad
  20. my moneys on turbo as well considering u been thrashin it the past couple of days to check turbo cant u check your inlet cooler piping and see if its full of oil or is it possible its blown the seals and not got oil in the inlet??? sk? just a suggestion & good luck mate Brad
  21. stasis dont be silly mate the 26 conversion is pretty pricey and not worthwhile, just buy a 260rs if he wants a 26. now it could just be condensation as said, or even a blown head gasket. check your oil dipstick and make sure the oil isnt milky white and also under the radiator cap make sure its got no oil in it or bubbles coming to the top constantly while its running. (dont check it when its boiling hot or you will burn yourself taking the cap off) could even be the turbo seals gone (cant remember what colour smoke is with turbo gone), or easiest way to tell turbo is give it some throttle onto boost and when u back off it will usually smoke pretty bad just as u back off. head wouldnt be that pricey, i'd say under $1000 easy (well $1000 seems cheap to me from my expenditures but maybe not to you ) other option is take it to a radiator shop and ask them to test it for a blown head gasket, which takes them 5 min to do and thats a 99% accurate test, or do a compression test and u will be able to tell also. i'd say u are worrying over nuthin but you never know. let us know how it goes mate
  22. hey glen whens the arrival expected? we'll have a few stagea cruises in the future anyways im sure
  23. we need some manual console surrounds made up i reckon, i might have a go at a fibreglass one and paint it very soon just to see how it looks, i cant dare spend $750 on visual mods, its against my religion $750 is half the money for a new intercooler or an ATI harmonic balancer
  24. hills is a mission isnt it im thinking north somewhere like yanchep aint bad with a mad beach park and stuff or scarbs or something. most of us are northerners from memory? im in Iluka, lee is brighton and wildcat/mr gts-t are beldon, what about the others who got stagea? red sky II? and mcnamg can come for a look even if he doesnt have his stagea yet? which suburb mcnamg? atwell i think or am i wrong?
