  1. haha lol, ill post some more soon, and yes my garage is a bloody mess, lol, got a supercharged VN Group A SS (1990 model) with 20 000km on the clock sitting in the corner (my old mans beast). and then there is the back shed is full of the welders, and endless crap i have managed to remove from my cars i spend more time in the garage then in my bed haha  more pics tommorow night if i get 5 min spare here is a thread on the build up up until a few weeks ago... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...l=*jun+stroker*
  2. attessa has 3 wires to the main ECU and they are: engine speed signal throttle signal + throttle signal - thats about all i know, and im trying to work out whether mine is hooked up correctly with the Autronics smc ecu installed.
  3. thats cool mate, i dont mind no bragging on numbers till its actually making them but p.s. i was expecting a post in here from jake32 but obviously not  cheers
  4. haha get over it mate for f**k sake, and atleast ive built mine not just paid over a cheque and bought it and then brag like its the best thing since the latest ferrari, when its only stock and would run a mid 13 or something? anyone can buy a 260rs with money, but not many actually modify shit and make it different to every other one on the road thats about all i want to say on the subject
  5. hey guys anyone know where the auto ecu is? ive found the attessa/abs ecu at the passenger side cargo area behind the panel on the side, and when i traced the wiring from the auto plugs in the engine bay it joins with the factory harness that runs under the dash near the drivers feet area, so maybe its under the dash, though i have ripped that apart previously and dont remember seeing it? cheers
  6. my old man polished it at home in the shed with a bench grinder and buffing wheels and lots of patience haha, heres a pic with all the covers on etc except they are abit dirty and need a rebuff before i put the motor back in the car getting closer everyday
  7. im after a set of sideskirts, and i want bigger ones than the DAYZ ones, but not over the top like some of the veilside type ones, anyone got different pics of different brands (close up pics if possible)? i got some pics of full car shots but they dont show close ups to see exactly how they look, so anyone with pics would be most helpful
  8. sorry i meant 2 piston rears and 4 piston fronts
  9. lol exactly what i was thinking, are people totally uncapable these days or what? dont like dirty fingernails or something maybe?
  10. what would $600 get you to make it "a much better package"? $600 aint stuff all in the grand scheme of things, and the 1jz is perfect once u wack on a big single turbo and neccessary extras and they will rip a rb25 to bits stuff the sr20, u have very valid points Snuffle and i'd go a stock 6 cylinder and its still going to last with 300rwkw easily still need larger injectors, upgraded ecu, single turbo conversion, ext wastegate, fuel system etc etc etc, but the 1jz is a much safer and stronger way to get there. good luck Brad
  11. cheers mate all in good time, no comment on when it will be running because i get told i take too long if i go past the expected date
  12. 1jz is stronger and better but alot harder to convert, but if u say its only $600 more than go the 1jz for sure, they make more power on stock internals than a rb25 (safely) and bulletproof from what i've heard. food for thought Brad
  13. hey steve if u happen to want to get rid of that cargo cover i would be glad to pay good money for it offers on the table, if u happen to change your mind good luck with the sale Brad
  14. i second that comment, i got my stagea back in november 2004 from Albert at the cannington autowholesale yard and he was very very helpful and was flexible on prices which is not normal for caryards, and i scored a bargain recently went upto the autowholesale yard and had a long and healthy discussion with DRIFTT (Nigel) about the latest stageas and they are the most reasonably priced caryard in perth for sure, and they have some absolute beasts in there as well, if only i was rich cheers and good luck to the autowholesale bunch, u have been a great help and i'll be shopping there in the future if i plan on changing cars wouldnt mind one of those late model rx7s damn they are hot Brad (stagezilla) p.s. when can u get me some stagea parts guys, i want a cargo area cover at some stage and a few other little bits and pieces ?
  15. bugger bugger bugger, i would have been in for sure, except i got r34 brembo calipers brand new and dba 5000 rotors, which aint cheap got some r32 gtr 4 spot rear calipers and dba 4000 rotors for rears also, so im all set, but.... the AP racing ones are a bargain, and definately better value than brembos cheers Brad
  16. hey sk cheers mate u have been most helpful mate and thanks for all the info and answers in recent emails, the forums would be lost without people like you cheers Brad
  17. sounds like its gonna be a beast and i think upgrades to brakes and factory seat belts to come before the gt35 is added
  18. and i thought i was doing it tough in my vs berlina... im in luxury
  19. stagea rb25 awd, theres a series 2 with neo rb25 and tiptronic auto pearl white in colour in good cond at a perth yard for 19 900 i think ono as well, could get it for 17k i reckon, and its a 2000 model with all options better value and comparable to r34 gt-t's for half the price extra wight is the only downfall, but its capable of being practicle for everyday use compared to 2 door coupes.
  20. its a full JUN stroker kit, and the whole jun package was put together by the head guy at JUN in japan for a shops demo car in perth, so he selected the rods/pistons/crank/bearings/cams/etc as a whole setup. ive been waiting 6 months for machining and finally i get the bits back and now either the rods r wrong, valves r opening too far for those shaped pistons, or who knows, its just hit me like a bus at the moment and im devastated, more bloody delays, and more money if i need shorter rods or whatever, and jun stuff aint cheap
  21. ive pretty much felt that way since november 2004 walk past it everyday and jump in my pos vs berlina rattlebox, boy have i had issues and badluck, i think its this rb26 engine, cause i had major badluck with the VL when i had the rb26 in that, and now its all come to my stagea and im getting sick of it just got my head back tonight and was checking the piston to valve clearance and something is majorly wrong, its lifting the head 4-5mm of the block, dunno if pistons r coming up to high or the valves are opening too far (11.35mm lift cams). if i had not have spent sooo much with this build i'd be backing out about now thats for sure not my lucky day, but hopefully that shall change soon B)
  22. thanks mate, i dont think the best bit is building it, because its been 12 months of building and 2 weeks of driving, maybe 50/50 split would be abit better. cheers for the support guys and girls, i will post answering people questions but im not posting about my car and its progress anymore, u will all hear when i have it finished, because i wouldnt want to be bragging to everyone. B) ive got a new idea for an engine conversion into the stagea in the future, because the 26 will be going into a lighter car after a while of running it in the stagea. (180sx, or r32 gtr maybe track car/drifter). but thats for me to know and u's to find out one day theres one engine that would be very suited to the stageas weight, and im planning on it being a daily driver when the 26 goes into something else. nissan v8 with very basic mods ( keep it n/a, and maybe Auto or manual depending on what gearboxes can be fitted) i will convert it to rwd only also to make it 100 times easier now that would be pimpin with nice v8 exhuast note, and plenty of torque to move the 1800kg monster haha
  23. lets hope for your sake the new splitfires last and dont get cooked, probably a big risk this short into the ecu install. $600 gamble
  24. well sort of, its stagezilla, and i got banned recently for warning others of a shop in Perth that ive had alot of trouble with, and i didnt even mention the name at all, so i dont know where i broke the rule B) but anyway, ill be reading the forums from now on but im sick of posting and it ending in a shit fight, or people saying im taking for ever or whatever with my build (thanks to a 6 month wait for machining alone) anyone who wants to ask a question or whatever can PM me personally, or send me an email to [email protected]. im sick of getting made to look like the arsehole, when i am trying to help other users. arhh welll end of rant Brad
