  1. y does everyone go for trust old skool turbo designs for? hasnt anyone heard of "ball bearings" yet trust are the lower class of turbos i reckon, and garrett stuff like the 2560r's etc are heaps better options than these sort of turbos. trust stuff seems to be soo cheap and i wonder y p.s. no this isnt a dig at mr mad, only the turbos he has mentioned
  2. the trouble is everyone wants everything for nuthin these days i want 700hp at wheels for budget of $200, any chance? f**kin ebay is a killer, these turbos, and fake bov's, wastegates, manifolds are absolute shit and if u cant do it properly then dont do it! whats the point of spending $800 on a shit turbo that aint gonna last when garret genuine ones are only $1600-2K which is gonna actually work and last for a long time. i think nismoids comment about "i can say i got a gt30/t70 etc sounds like a beast" but it goes slower and runs worse than a stock turboed car is 100% true. long live the china products, and ebay the classiest performance parts on earth most of the time :lol:

  4. well, depends on the darkness i reckon, as with earlier commodores like vl's they have bright as orange lights on the executives and darker tinted looking lights on the calais, and they get away with it. i think mums taxi's ones are abit too dark and cops would not pass it im 99.9% sure. the lights dont even look visable if lite up. maybe a more sutle (sp?) look with only a few coats and still not totally black might be abit safer against potential police hassles. i got a funny feeling almost every stagea on here will have tinted taillights after seeing the pics :lol: people will begin to think its standard fitment on series 1's and series 2 have the clear lights haha
  5. hey krissy that looks crazy, wayyy better than clear shittas just wondering how visable the actual brake/tail lights are when iluminated in the day and at night? any chance of a pic in the day and one at night as too how bright the lights are when behind that nightshades, as im thinking thats the next thing ill do if they still iluminate enough to stop hassles from cops, etc cheers Brad
  6. hey guys its a longshot, but has anyone recently pulled their stagea fuel tank open by removing the main cap on top accessed from inside the cargo area? i removed both lines in the actual tank about 6 months ago and now i can only find the feed from the intank pumps thats runs to the engine, but what goes on the return line into the tank? (this is the intank side of the fuel cap that the fuel level gauge is connected too) im assuming a short hose just hanging into the actual fuel liquid or to the bottom of the tank, or does it actually have somewhere to connect onto? or does it have no hose at all and drip back into the tank from the metal line? does that make much sense cheers Brad

  10. ive had it where it just cut all dash/lights/everything, and it was the IGN fuse in the fuse box next to the battery, it says it on the fuse box cover which fuse it is. mine ended up just being a wire under the engine shorting on the body which kept blowing it. the fuses r available from nissan as they are special ones, not regular blade type ones. worth a try good luck Brad
  11. hey guys im after a 4" aluminium bend (around 70 degree or so), but everyone only has the donuts in 4" and they look shit with welds around the egdes. so does anyone know if 4" ally bends are available in Oz? any contact details as i need one asap for my turbo inlet pipe. cheers Brad
  12. very true that, seems the same all around Oz i reckon, bov's make em think they are unbeatable, but they just sound like total knobs when they let it pshht pshht every 2 seconds in their stock r32 gts-t or silvia.
  13. yes nearly, probably around 3-4 weeks still till a tune for running in, as i work full time plus i dont get much time after work each night and that only leaves weekends when im not working. i need bits and pieces but i never have time to goto shops and buy them as i work 7:30am-4:30pm which doesnt give me long till shops shut each night i'd much rather do it all myself though, as i know its done right, and not rushed, and saves money too cheers Brad
  14. i reckon the thing giving 4/6's a bad name is the excels/lancer/civic brigade that act liek total morons with stickers galore and i understand y commo drivers think that. in perth we recently had motovation car show, more than 50% of the turbo cars had to give a huge rev and pshht pshhht past the crowd every single time they came near anyone, and wonder y they look and get called total idiots. very embarassing and shows lack of maturity and then some others popping flames and revving there cars for about 10 mins staight, and they just act like 5 year olds. i see more knobs in imports than anything, and its the reason everyone with a skyline is imediately in the same category in the view of commo/ford drivers. blow off valves should be banned from venting i reckon. i got a stagea so no more shit from v8 knobs cause they dont even know its a performance car hehe.
  15. hey mate im willing to come give you a hand, if i get some spare time from doing my own engine, which is 99.9% done now, just gotta do some pipework and she is ready im willing to give you advice/assistant but ive mainly only dealt with rb26's and rb30's when removing turbos, but i'd assume its almost the same as the 30, and a damn sight easier than the 26 turbos. i dont want any cash, as i dont want to be stuck doing all the work if u get my drift ill advise and get dirty but i dont want to be doing the lot, as some of my mates expect when i offer help. so if u are doing it in a month or so ill be free give me a PM and i can give u my mobile no. do u have axle stands, a jack, spanners, sockets, rachets, etc etc? dont forget some new copper washers, and maybe a few spare studs incase u snap one. i'd also upgrade the dump pipe at the same time as its a pain in the arse trying to put the dump pipe on the turbo while in the car later on. cheers Brad
  16. nah i didnt order any tensioners, only nismo engine and gearbox mounts, exhuast manifold studs, n1 water pump, and lots of little bits and pieces. you arnt a painter by any chance as i seen a similiar stagea is stirling in the new estate and owner was a painter by the looks of the ladders, etc

  19. polishing is fun, and like u said its addictive haha, makes everything not polished look dull in comparision i did my old vl engine bay and every single nut and bolt also, but god damn is was worth it in the end, 99% of engine bays i see with big dollar engines look like poxy dirty shittas and i cant stand dirty engine bays. looks better than my stagea bay, but the stagea bay will be better one day
  20. cool mate, ive spent plenty of cash at nissan in the buildup of my engine/car and i usually speak to steve barnes as he know the skylines well unlike some of them. wangara aint far, and cant wait for a cruise and see some other stageas close up
  21. is the pearl one thats not on the forum got xspeed stickers on it and no roof racks, and full bodykit? i also know another one who might be interested in a cruise, he works at my local auto one and its a stock pearl white one also. they are getting too common already i have taken too long to get mine going since i bought it in november 2004 and did the rb26 conversion by early 2005, and then i shitted the motor, and almost ready again finally) i just wanna drive my damn stagea haha :lol:
  22. hey mate just a warning about a certain perth well known shop that told me they new stageas well and then smoked my 4wd clutch packs on the dyno after trying to get it in 2wd (how they thought it should be done). PM me for details if u like

  24. low boost tune will be on around 17-18psi and between 500-550rwhp to protect the gearbox until i can afford an OS gearset and then pump over 25-30psi into it and max out the HKS t04z around 700rwhp should manage mid-low 11s i reckon, maybe a 10 with 700rwhp and os gearset. no bragging till its actually doing the numbers oh ive also got a few spare parts, ill write a list up soon and let you know
  25. its a rs four converted with gtr engine/5 speed and gtr diff, and r34 gtr brembo brakes even, engine is mostly custom parts only remaining gtr bits are block and head pretty much, everything else is changed should surprise alot of modified cars on perth streets thats for sure :lol:
