  2. thats for the slackest people ever i reckon honestly how hard is the sump plug to screw out? i'd be worried it would start leaking and getting ripped off like mentioned above.

  6. ill be walking im afraid after my engine cracked the block ill come for a looksy in my commodore but v6 powerrr hehe just ordered a N1 block today and machining is being done next week or the week after, so im gonna be stagea-less for atleast another month or 2 but the upside is its gonna be wayyy more powerful than it was before and ive got some real goodies going on soon cant wait for a 18-20psi boost tune and then i'll be in for a cruise ill come admire everyone elses stageas for sure, but please dont laugh at me and my commodore hey stagea girl your stagea isnt the one from autwholesale with the black rims and recaro seats is it? that one was one of the nicest ive seen. welcome to the club anyway wildcat why do i have to organise it all im a follower ill go to whatevers organised as long its not in mandurah or something hehe
  7. i ordered a brand new n1 block today actually its in melbourne and gonna be here in 4 days or so hopefully not sure if there are any others left or not. not cheap but when u want big power u gotta pay. i dont think putting $50k into a china safe is a smart idea so im doing a n1 block to replace the 05U block buy the best safe then start putting money in it is a much smarter idea. my 05U cracked after 1200km of use with the new setup. not happy at all, but this means the new block wont limit power output for a long while yet.
  8. cuting a hole through the battery tray or on the side ABOVE the chassis is not the chassis anyway my 2c worth if u are all soo worried come to perth they dont give a flying shit about anything as long as its done in a neat fashion and ive seen 600hp t04z rb26s registered and legal no worries

  10. nissan transmatic D is the fluid (regular auto tranny fluid) i used Castrol Transmax Z synthetic auto fluid which castrol reccomends for the attessa system. nissan fluid is like $30 a bottle and the castrol fully synthetic stuff is $65 or something. sydneykid is this castrol transmax z good for the attessa system or would u stick with genuine nissan auto fluid? heres the info on the castrol transmax z oil from their website...   11. is there any reason too high oil pressure is bad? mine is up at 85-90psi at idle when stone cold, and drops to 40-50psi at idle when warm, then hits around 80psi on full rpm under load. its a jun oil pump though, and im running the castrol 10w60 edge as well. it this just because of the relief valve spring being stronger in jun pumps? is this a benefit ive got such good oil pressure or is there a downside to it?
  12. ally is lighter and easier to polish up, but its also easier to scratch as well. no difference is performance i'd imagine, though alloy transfers and looses heat better i think. checkout the shine home buffing job too...

  15. autowholesale are pretty good from my personal experiences, though i bought mine over 18 months ago now so they may have changed how they treat customers since then. that non turbo would be perfect suited to a rb26 conversion i reckon if they were compliable

  19. thanks everyone for the comments its finally something sorted after sooo long on the drawing boards the tune was done in rwd because im running the autronics ecu and i havent hooked the 4wd up as the last tuner stuffed the wiring and it was wrecking the tps signal to the ecu because they didnt have a clue what they were doing. so i removed the front tailshaft and have been thrashin it around in 2wd for the past few days. its even good in the wet, its like 2 cars in one, makes stuff all power upto 4200rpm or so and then bang its constant wheelspin upto 9000rpm the rpm range is huge and with a good power band from 4500rpm-9000rpm makes it awesome for pulling power. it manages 230kmh in 4th gear at 9k rpm (4.3 diff ratios). i took it out last night in the wet and damn its soo fun ripping donuts on fullboost never had sooo much fun in years.   20. well finally after a huge long rebuild time of 12 months its finally got a go on the dyno, and it went alot better than expected on the low boost setting so im lovin it even blowing flames on over run which looks maddd boost is on a low 13psi and rpm limit is 9000rpm. no power figures are gonna be published on here due to the amount of people in the non stagea sections wanting to slag on others results so i think ill keep it quite. ive got a couple of power runs turbo and manifold glowing as it boosts up thats all i can do at the moment as i gotta goto work, ill post the others of the flames, etc after work. stay tuned Brad
  21. nuthin stopping u using a non ecu controlled gearbox like a ford C4 3 speed or jatco manual shifted one with a transfer case adaptor might be my plan in the future to get all the power to the ground with a nice transbrake setup to launch on fullboost
  22. as topic says i got a set of r32 gtr rods that come from an engine that cracked a ringland on a piston but the engine was very very low km's and the bearings etc are in a1 condition to show the amount of use it actually had. i had engine for 6 years and only did 1500km maximum and was previously sitting in an engine bay of an unfinished car for 4 years before that so its definately done very low km's. ive got jun rods now so these are for sale for $250 firm + delivery if your interstate im in perth WA thanks Brad
