Try cleaning your AFM out with contact cleaner or something similar, I dont see how it touching the piping would be an issue. Im not too sure on weather you should regap or not but I had major missfire problems and when I gapped my plugs down to .8 the miss went away.

What spark plugs were in before you change over to the platinums? 1.1mm gap would be too big wouldnt it? Could be your AFM playing up I had similar symptoms on my R32 when my AFM went.

Yeah I know what you mean my car made 166 RWKW on 14 PSI but Unigroup put it up to 18 to see how much more power it would make and it made close to 180 RWKW. (stock turbo)

That guy lives across the road from me its got a FJ20 in it, its a sleeper alright you cant tell shit by looking at it he took my dad for a drive in it and scared the absolute crap outta him lol.

Yeah its strange how some people say its crazy to boost a R32 turbo over 12 psi but I know of one guy whose been running his stock turbo on 18psi since he imported the car 5 years ago and it hasnt missed a beat once!

Holy shit my cars been making this noise for about 6 months and gradually getting a lot worse and no one could work it out not even Unigroup they all basicslly said its a normal sound for a turbo on boost but i knew it wasnt coz it was 100x louder then normal and a squeel. Well i just had a look at the bolts holding my turbo on then and i can undo them all with my fingers!!! I did the 2 on top up as tight as i could get them and the noise is 80% gone, Im having a lot of trouble getting to the other 2 bolts down low does anyone have any tips on how to get to them and thanks a lot to the guy who posted up saying to tighten the turbo bolts this mystery is finally solved for me

I get on average about 300ks to a full tank but im a lead foot and thats city driving, If I drove nice and sedately I could probaly manage 400ks but wheres the fun in that

HKS 2530 or a hi flow of your standard turbo will both produce over 200rwkw for you

When the AFM on my RB20DET started playing up it was fairly similar to what your explaining, some days it would drive fine but others it would refuse to go above about 3500RPM and would cough and splutter etc So yeah try your luck with a second hand AFM from SSS or somewhere similar.

Most of the time when im driving the car is fine and goes straight but at random times it will just pull to the left and be completely different ive been suspecting the hicas is coming on at random times and causing this so im going to get a hicas lock bar and hopefully this stops the problem.
