My opinion is they just loved that car>>>> Richard's and sKaife. Skaife looks to be enjoying himself alot more than he does now ...haha Shame he wont comment on it theses days because he had plenty to say back then... Theses moments in our race history inspired me to get my R32 GTR period!!! No game, no movie...

I did a search around and couldnt really match up any info on CV joint maitenance for r32 GTR's. I have the slightest Clunk developing in one my front right CV joints decelerating , turning and really wanting to fix the problem. (sounds like a Camira) Whats involved with this maintenance ? Some other threads in other forums on different cars recommend doing the whole assembley where others just change the faulty joints etc. Should i do both sides? Do i have to Chase up Nissan Genuine bits or is there a stronger upgrade Available? I thought i would ask here as i have been caught out by bad advice from mechanics that didnt know or guessing with this import in my area. Thanks again

Lock Nut Is Never Going To Come Off
ish replied to CEF11E's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Calm down a bit first ... if the dreaded hammer and cold chisel has failed you may have to get a nut or bar welded on it. Its not that uncommon and a good welder will help you out so you can just brace it of no damage.... if you wreack the stud its not that hard to fix either ... Just dont hit the car ... -
heading out right now to play a prog set to smashed uni students ...

i think we have established that the Gtr is a mixed bag for drifting .... it has the motor for it but the rest of its features work against driving with broken traction... A bit of an Oximoron if you ask me !

I am enjoying my Heavey duty Extreame clutch. Cost me about 1200 bucks but i dont have exactly what it is as i never got invoiced. Its had the 5 little pad's on it and massive springs . my mechanic had ordered it before i wanted it as i was tossing up between a jim berry item but i have to say its doing really well Exedy were just Wankers and couldnt be bothered really!

i understand the Datascan is on your laptop mate! and was just trouble shooting a bit ! Logicly i was thinking you may have altered a bios setting in the Actual Nissan ECU if it was possible. Maybe its not? as i am just guessing like GunMetalR33 stated. laptop.... GunmetalR33 gave good advice for program trace removal . I will add that sometimes it may be called another name in the program files other than Datascan, example "NISSAN" mo. use search registry for "Datascan" and install files by date if you get what i mean *.ini , *.bat "*" being datascan related. If your on Xp system restore. Is there a free download ,Support, FAQ of it somewhere so i can work out how to reset it for you ? oh hang on here it is! http://home.curl.aunz.net/tpkolo/DataScan.htm Read the SUPPORT SECTION it explains it perfectly Update after install Path to program files > C:\Program Files\Nissan Data Scan registry serch > from commandline > run > regedit > Edit > Find > Datascan > remove values FROM the WEBSITE Support 1. When I start the NDS software I get an error message and the application shuts down. You have probably entered a wrong COM port number and ticked the "Auto connect to ECU" option. To fix the problem you will need to reset the registry settings. * Go to start->Run and type regedit. * Go to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\NDataScan" and delete the whole NDataScan entry. * Close the Registry Editor and try running the software again. It will save the default settings to the registry file. Don't tick the "Auto connect to ECU" option until you successfully establish a connection. Warning: Take note of your Activation Key, you will need to re-enter it to activate the software. 2. When I click the Connect button I get an error message and the application shuts down. You have probably entered an invalid COM port number. Try changing the "Port" setting in "Communication" to a port that you know exists. i cant get past the key at the moment so thats as far as i go

just for reference here is my dyno run rear wheel reading. Stock GTR with slight rear dump leak, Hks death pods, 13 Psi The Dyno man seem to think my Ecu had been modified as it held a very rich line all the way compared to what standard ECu's he had seen .

Rezz it is only a genoralization question as i had no clue if they were abundent or starting to dissapear. I am interested on the car's status in a few years and if they will become a rarer thing with Japan wanting to always get rid of there older car's. like those little toyota Sprinter Trueno things ,very hard to find now etc ...
-
LOL ok mate ... I was hoping they were rareing up
-
I was just wondering how many R32 GTR do you guys think are left in Japan in general approximately? I don’t mean as an actual figure just there general existence.... Its been a few years now since they stopped making them and many have been exported or wrecked out? it would be good to know how many were acyually made and sold ! :sorcerer:
