  3. a losing battle i would think ,,, its only a matter of time before this is implemented Australiawide... Dont Worry about Policing it ..I am sure you will be introduced to the elustious Seniour Cunstable camera.... end of an era which is sad ....

  7. S1 or S2 cranks shaft oil pump surface?
  8. Its a hard thing to get/find someone to show you unless you invest somehow in there qualifications... or lease the equipment You have to find someone that isint hung up on what he knows as some gift from God or protective investment... I see your in perth where there is an Online American course that travels and teaches exactly what you ask even the motec system's! but i can remember it is at the moment. Also Motec conduct seminars on installation ,tuning and race tuning if you have the coin and you enroll early. I felt like you SysLink67 where no matter how hard i tried to learn this passivley thought common intrest the harder it became.... Here is not the best place to try and gain info on it, I got nothing but patrinization... BUT!!! i dont give up to easy! Right now i am learning to use a widband lambda sensor with logging & road tuning simpley so i wont need a dyno in the end the basic rules to tuning and power are all the same no matter what ECU is used . the main part is understanding the input required and at what intervals and conditions these should be changed in your MAP. Try a few fuel injection forums where a whole map, rulz and process is gone though and explained> From there dload the softwarez and play with them ... learn about how they are all different but really the same ....>just fancy intergrated PLC's (programable logic controllers) that allow the same AFR or lambda moinitering and adjustment just different userinterfaces. All the best mate
  9. Well i would because they restrict you to 300Rwkw
  10. lol Chocolate colored smoke
  11. Light brown Smoke is usually exhaust dust ! It usualy form's in cars that arnt driven very hard or the breakdown of materials in the muffler from heat and corsion over time. the smokes Blue = burnt oil Black = fuel White steamy vapour = water White steamy strange smelling = coolant White sticky hovering vapour = unburnt oil Brown exhaust = dust Pretty blue and pink = Autotrans Has the car been sitting for along time with out a good hard drive ?
  12. it can be a limit yes depending on how you go about things... without starting a tech debate on MAP sensors V AFM's people. Hmm! the collar is a motor out thing where your oilpump contact surface is increased both on the crank shaft and pump surface .... probably apart from the Ceramic hair dryers being wound up to far the Collar is a must to attend to.
  13. R32 Gtr's Limits.... Ceramic turbo's, S1 oilpump Collar, Standard AFM's Previous owner abuse Lot's of B/S and wannabe mechanics guessing and miss quoting figure's
  14. sus the revlimiter.... most modified ones have had them removed or raised to a higher RPM
  15. yeah but it was never considered a threat either by dinosaur cubic inches heads and sAfrican Americaned at.... it taught lessons!!! thats why all the kafufal. being knobbled like it was and to still smack ass is australian HISTORY now except it !
  16. I rekcon we all chip in for this and i will be the driver .... offers of 110,000 will be considered ...lol
  17. Wow thank's DR JOSH ... this info just filled in a huge gap for me and a friend of mine ... I have spent a fair bit of time in one of these in the mid 90's ( 2000RS-X TURBO C Twin cam turbo engine of 4 valves DOHC ) and we never knew what it was... We had suspicions it was a track car of some sought when we bought but had no real idea... It had freaky performance to anything we had every encountered before! he ended up putting a huge turbonetics and EMS on and to this day that car is one of my all time favorites to have driven
  18. NO jeep thanks .. I got a nissan patrol now for the mud My self i cant tell if the water pump has been changed and i aint taking all the stuff off to find out because it's running fantastic. I believe the timing belt would have been done at its 100,000 magor service... Some one here will know what's involved with that service as i havent studied what nissan actualy do for the 100,000 .
  19. wiked ... that would be so sweet ! a brand new R32 Vspec ...
  20. nagh!!! that's dead that car. 1. You have to catalog what useful secondhand part's right down to the scrap metal for the car you have and move them on Or 2. sell it as a complete wreck which will save you the headache of dealing parts and start a new strategy to get mobile again. A car rolled like that with its crumple zones affected will only really be repaired if its a rarer type and the owner has no other options but to pay way more than its all worth to keep its identity. Glad you and your le'fem are ok and dont worry plenty of others have have been in this situation
  21. dam ... i usually give my self credit for thinking up crap like that and never following through ... Have to say thats kinda kool though for the right car
  22. at a ruff guess i would say fan bearing.. I have had the slight whisltleing from a gasket leak but this was loud only while engine was cold
