I passed the amount that my insurance covers about 6 months ago which is 50% of what the car is worth... I think I'm about at the 10k mark... with stock running gear and engine... This is only on upgrades too... no repairs, no paint, no little projects, not the car... I can point out 10k of non factory items in my car

90% certain that is your problem right there... If your car flutters, then you are going to have stalling issues with starving the engine of oxygen... fulli sick flutters / stalling now and then weigh it up... sup to you... could be wrong though
