well you cant really run a fuse on a boot and i run less amps then you it seems... yay for f**kin powerful monoblocks! do you run three independant fuses, or 3 on the same line? temporary as in... no... its an old box i had lieing around, chucked it in the boot, tied it down... for the longest time i have been trying to design a decent way to get 2 very powerful 12 inch subs in there, in a duel slot ported box that still has the required literage, and so i can still get to the battery... any designs i came up with just weren't up to scratch... so 2 12's it is... and probably sealed boxes too...

My install is what we in the profession call... "temporary" i have some powerful MBQ for front, and some alpine Type S for the rear... i still need to amp them, but they will be getting 100WRMS each when i get my ass around to doing it... theres nothing special about my install as of yet, im still thinking up a decent and original design... i have a few ideas, but space appears to be the biggest problem... and no, its not JL... the subs im getting are rated at nearly twice the power output of the 12W7... and its not some gimmick either... see the 'danger zone'? thats the comfort zone for these subs PS: they cost $1k each... but im getting 40% off... no one who is serious about this pays shelf price

whats all this junk about burning out the ECU cause of a constant earth? I have had this installed, and on, for about 6 months now... I have not noticed anything wrong with the ecu at all... not to mention its a box that relays hundreds upon hundreds of 12V requests on an hourly basis... 1 12v being on all the time would have little to no effect on it at all...

red is always 12v*, so your good there the orange with a white stripe is your illum wire, makes it light up with your headlights, grab it from your stereo or lighter ifits there C wire is most likely your accesories wire, grab that from your stereo and black is most likely ground yes really the correct thing to do is to run all new lines to the fuse box... but i know you wont do that so steal shit from where your headunit is mounted and what not... well, borrow is a more correct term... *Disclaimer: ive seen some f**ked up shit... but most likely its positive

psh, your boot install is better... thats about it i think STILL haven't met you... but yeah, its a weird problem... if it is just popping back on instantly, then its either a loose wire or the amp is in protect, cause of a loose wire... Wish i could have a look at it, but im betting its one of those... dont think its your gear... that ground running from the head unit you speak of is the remote wire for the amps... it tells them to turn and off... its a constant positive feed, dont know how strong, but if its exposed somewhere and hitting the body of the car, then it will turn the amps on and off intermittenly... DECIM8: Im thinking about dropping 2k on subs this weekend... you STILL gunna have a better system then me then?

to wherever you wish to mount it... find a place thats out of sight but still easily reachable... there are a few switch houses on the dash near the steering wheel that were never really used... use one of those... i know a place where you can put 5 that no one else has thought of yet... but thats my thing
