  8. You had radioactive avocado? hmmmm Bass Junky got some surprise anchovies in his salad!
  9. Meeting was very good, (except for that bloody stupid woman that wouldn't stop asking questions.) I reckon! I was about 3 people away and couldn't hear a word! P.S, Those schnitzels rock.
  10. The Phantom purple looks awesome on Skylines
  11. [evil laugh] We've converted another one! [/evil laugh] Welcome aboard
  12. ahhhh so that's where it ended up! Congrats on the purchase. [edit] If you're after some decent tyres at a good price, try the "Sava INTENSA" under $200 a tyre, and they are damn good for the money... however, tyres aren't something that you want to take the 'cheap option' with, so if you intend to do more than drive around like a decent law abiding road user, you might want to spend some money on getting some decent ($400+each) tyres, considering that's what's holding you on the road.
  13. as previously mentioned, don't think that you're safe because you have an alarm. the more security the better.
  14. One more thing.... do they have a dress code? Am I going to get turfed out if I turn up in a flannie and workboots?
  15. If they fit a series 3, then they will fit in a series 1 or 2. Your original thread (with the original price) is here... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=36589
  16. Where are the securing points? From the handbrake/gearstick picture it looks like you could screw off the gearknob and lift the device off?
  17. I like the look of that AutoLok..... how much do they retail for? The main draw back with something like that is its sheer size... people wouldn't be too keen on having something that large floating around in the cabin of the car... when you consider that under impact a tissue box can do damage equivalent to a house brick, something that big would have the ability to take your head clean off!
  18. Bolted onto a bit of plastic? That would work wonders in an auto

    Racepace...

I've never even heard of Hyper-Tech... take into account that you get what you pay for. If they can do it "cheaper", then that's what you'll get.... cheap service.
  20. ....which makes an extra minute that they could be caught in the act. With an alarm alone, the whole car can be gone in less than 15 seconds.
  21. They are by far the best visual deterent you can get. But keep in mind, that if someone is REALLY keen to steal your car, then they will. The only quick way of getting a steering lock off is to cut the steering wheel. When it comes to car theft, the only thing you can do is slow the thieves down. The more things you put in their way, the more likely they are to move onto the next car. Without a doubt, go out and buy one, but don't rely on it as a sole form of protection. Some people think "I have an alarm so I don't need a steering lock" well..... it's those same people who come along and say "My car has been stolen, i had an alarm..." It's pointless relying on just one form of protection. Think like a criminal...... if you went into a car park, and saw a 200B with a steering lock, a Cortina with a big dog, and a Skyline with an alarm, which one would you choose to steal?
  22. Parkville is where the Melbourne Zoo is
  23. Do you want to keep it auto? If so, there are things that can be done to strengthen the gearbox, but it could end up costing you thousands of dollars, and you'll probably still only get a limited life out of it. If you need an auto gearbox for a condition of P plates, hold off your mods for a while and throw a manual box in when you're off P's. If you have a power figure in mind, then it's obvious that you want to drive the car fast/hard... the RB20 box won't hold up for very long. As for the trans cooler, you'd need to spend big money on a decent one, and even then, it may not hold off ultimate gearbox death for very long.
  24. aaaaaaaahaha those Queenslanders are a bit slow
  25. I'm sure another sausage sizzle could be organised to raise some funds for the stand & power. There should still be a stack of flyers left over from the one earlier this year too?
