  1. So i dont know what im doing. have intsalled the boost control and it was suggested to also install a seprate boost gauge. would i just hook the gauge into the wiring and pressure sensor of the ACV-R?
  2. i dont know what power, havnet touched the motor, its standard with about 160,000 on the clock. with the mods i have i would assume its upped the power a bit from standard. top speed down the striaght is about 200kph (almost 180 on the top straight) and 180 at basky. i should stop looking at the speed really, im starting to scare myself LOL. ive fitted braided brake hoses expecting the brake pedal to be firmer but its softer than it was. dont know whats going on there.
  3. i have a full bolt in steel cage and it weighs about 60kg. so it would slow you down a bit. ive thought about takin mine out just to see what the difference in lap times would be. just so you have an idea, my best time at symmons is 1.05.6 with a fairly stock car, apart from the the FMIC, 3'' exhuast, race tyres, and its debatable as to what it weighs as ive pull things out but it prob still weighs the standard weight with the cage, and 1.02.7 at baskerville. those times should drop now i have a boost control, but its hard to say by how much. if i can knock a second off at each track ill be happy. particually at basky as it will put me right at the pointy end of the field.
  4. no idea what power figures mines putting out, but its pretty good for what it is blitz pod filter fmic straight 3'' side exit standard euc (just reset with the old batt disconect foot on brake pedal routine) oh and a bit of actane boost just fitted a AVC-R but yet to set it up or drive it.
  5. ive been using a Blitz pod filter and its worked great. I was thinking of changing since this one is is getting that way but i think ill stick with the brand.
  6. if ya didnt read my blog, i smashed it the day before, removing the wiper motor. i removed it all right. just today we fitted a poly thingy (plastic) replacement. it cost me a third of what i could get a replacement glass one.

  10. Commiserations to Mark and the other runners who had trouble. Im dreading my turn. I will have a report up on my site tonight. Had a rather boring run actually. Q 9th, R1 6th, then 4th for the other 3 races to finish 4th overall i think. Apart from the first race where i was trying to catch Bob in the Honda and Scott in the Escort i had a pretty lonley old time. best part was in race 2 i think, i went between 2 cars down the back straight and then passed Leigh in the Evo in the space of about 150 meters. went from 7th to 4th in one go. That was the highlight. Leigh had clutch problems i think. I couldnt catch Ross this time. If i was 100 meters in front of him I would of had a chance but it never came. Its looking good for more power come the next meeting though. got to be carefull with a standard turbo aswell. John Briggs Racing
