  1. check the following: Belt is not slipping Fluid level ok Hicas warning light not lit up If all of those are ok, look at the power steering pump. There are two electrical connections on the passenger side of the pump. They will probably be dirty since the power steering fluid often leaks and lands down there. Clean them with electrical contact cleaner or something similar then clip them back on, that might fix it. Hope that helps!
  2. Accidents are not through the roof. I believe that perception of accidents is through the roof with the media sensationalising anything they can: "In 1975, Australia-wide, there were 26.8 road deaths per 100 000 population; this rate had fallen to 7.9 deaths by 2004 – a drop of 71 per cent." Thats historical data from the Australian Transport Safety Bureau.. http://www.atsb.gov.au/publications/2006/pdf/Int_Comp_03.pdf Since 1998 the death rate has been pretty stable.
  3. Very few similarities apart from the fact that you dont operate the clutch yourself and you change gears with paddles.. the Ferrari F1 box and the Nissan DSG are not easily comparable as there is not much similar to compare.

  6. If you want 98 close to Vaucluse, go to the caltex on old south head road near the blair st intersection (across from where the golf course starts) I have filled up with 98 from there in the last two weeks without an issue.
  7. When i was in japan a couple of weeks ago every merc i saw (mostly new model e and s class cars) were all left hand drive.. is this normal? And why is it the case when all other cars there are right hand drive? In relation to the M3 i have never driven one so I cant say for sure, but have been passenger in an e46 and was very disappointed. It might be a car that grows on you i guess, but my first impression was disappointment. With this in mind I would recommend having a good drive of one or at least a long passenger ride before making a decision. Perhaps the good reviews from everywhere might have lifted my expectations too high.
  8. The positive reviews were why I was expecting a good drive, I wanted to like it. The engine and transmission are refined and perform well I agree (apart from the ridiculous fuel consumption) and its a good looking car.. Its a lot of other things that I dislike about the car.
  9. Spotted a few weeks ago: New GTR Lotus Exige S Maserati 3200GT Plus supercar killers - Evo 8 and Civic Type R And a few others including very rare RX7 Spirit R not in the photos.
  10. Nice cab. I prefer the looks of the current model, although had a drive of a current model xr6 and was one of the most disappointing modern car I have driven and the worst for fuel consumption.
  11. Prefer the stock rims, and the unpainted carbon.
  12. I mean discontinued as in Toyo might have stopped selling them in Australia...I was keen to get my hands on these a while back and couldnt buy them, local motorsport tyre shops said they stopped selling them. If that is not the case now where you can buy them?
  13. Checked out a new gtr in Sydney on Saturday.. it was dark grey.
  14. This thread might have a slight wasteland feel to it, but i think your judgment is harsh. I believe most people would enjoy reading about what types of people are buying the new gtr, and seeing the chicks you can pull with one. Thanks for sharing m3gtr. I spotted and sat in a brand new r35gtr on Saturday(In Sydney!!!), they are awesome in flesh!!!!
  15. I believe the Toyo R1R was discontinued, if not do you know where to buy them from?
  16. it becomes normal for the speedo needle to go all the way around
  17. Ill try and keep it simple, i could go on for pages! In rough order: Good steering feel Good brake feel Chassis that provides stable and predictable handing Enough power to allow for adjustable handling Reliability in hard use Looks Engine note
  18. Enough driving on bumpy country roads will do it even with soft springs... If you like backroads driving, get rid of the hyper-d's they are just too firm and the damping is too crap to handle the bumps this country anyway!
  19. These coilovers came with my car. I found them way to hard for street use, the car would skip through corners, making for a scary drive. The adjustment didnt do much. Not sure about the spring rates, sorry. Changed to whiteline/bilsteins, these are much better and allow for faster and more confident driving in almost any condition however still resulted in a cracked windscreen..
  20. My car was parked in Cherrybrook at the shopping centre.. Pretty much every panel on the car is damaged, the bonnet and roof copped it the worst, and the windscreen has massive cracks all over it so you cant even see out properly.
  21. These are well known fakes http://reviews.ebay.com.au/BEWARE-of-FAKE-...000000000706427
  22. Hey guys, i was just looking at this ad while sitting at work, i was reading it thinking wait a sec.. i looked over next to me and there was exactly the same screen as being sold! haha! Couldnt resist taking a picture Good luck with a sale, they are good screens!
  23. The video features a different one.. the one i saw was a Commodore S pack (V6) from memory.. It seems that police wearing p plates are more than a once off thing. I have also seen a white undercover XR 6 or 8(cant remember now) with those silly flower stickers on the back window around the Surry Hills area a few months back. I see people pulled over on Chalmers st in Surry hills just before central station quite often. Its a 50 zone, well patrolled and speed-trapped keep that in mind when driving through.
  24. Spotted black r34 GTR on Showground road, Castle Hill on Saturday.. sounded awesome
