  1. I would NOT use the water temp gauge as an indiction of when your car is warm. My water temp gauge comes up to mid way and the oil temp gauge has not even moved! It takes 7mins of easy driving to bring everything up to temp. Warming a car by letting it idle for 5 mins as people have suggested it waste of time.
  2. I could have sworn later on he mentioned that it was the standard 1/4 mile test. But if a POS camry from a scrap heap with some orange paint is pullin 13s then i really would like to see that.
  3. Was I high or did that camry do a 1/4 mile in 13.sumthin seconds???
  4. Vtec is too powerful for the streets alright... Just look at the evidence:
  5. RX7 twin turbo's need rebuilds at least every 100,000km I heard, so they can be very expensive car to run. But they also look INSANELY hot! And are much rarer. For a mint RX7 though you would be looking at a lot more than a nice s15. S15's make good power pretty easily, can look really nice and are very reliable if looked after! So depends on your budget, and what you want the car for.
  6. Don't worry guys. I think I will get some Endless pads instead... if I cant get them in time maybe get EBC.. Mods - feel free to close.
  7. Hey, I am replacing my brake pads and I am not sure which pads to get. I have no plans to track my car so I dont think I will need 'ultimates' and apparently they will tend to squeal and also generate far more brake dust...?? Given the discs are ventilated will CT's be ok for daily use and maybe a bit of a sprint through the mountains if I wanted... I think they would be fine as they are a fair bit better than factory pads... Car is 32 GTR... Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  8. well i for one would give a fk if a car had done 250,000km... but the car in question above just based on what has been written about it, there is no way its k's are as low as the dash indicate... 86,000km over 19yrs is just over 4,500km per year... haha, yeah im sure thats the case in a dirty shitter for sale for like $7k
  9. I hope you dont honestly think that is the amount of k's the car has actually done!?
  10. Phaw!!! Looks mint! i wouldnt change a thing
  11. Vic, u cant drive gtr till ur on full licence (earliest possible is 21, but under new rules will be 22). Your insurance is cheap! You must be in the lowest risk area in Aus or sumthin!
  12. You have a 32 gtr insured for $800/yr with a $1,400 excess? What is the car 'value' on that policy? And are you still convered considering it is illegal for you to drive that car at your age?
  13. Haha, now your pushing it. I have no idea. But to me they look like 17"s given tyre profile in the pic... Abu got a set of XD9 for his R33 GTR and they looked sweet, he would have a good idea on offset! Maybe pm him Kool
  14. Are they D-Speed indicators? They dont look like it, but I have not seen any other place that makes clear indicators to suit 32 GTR...
  15. Haha, thats a bit harsh. I reckon they don't look too bad at all! Shit all over the new rex... but so does every car ever built haha
  16. My mates gtr has a boot only key also, but wateva
  17. Oh snap! Look at the plenum... I would say pass on that car
  18. Hrmm, shame you couldn't spend $10-12k on a 32; cause that would get you a nice one. My mate is selling his for that and it has cooler, apexi suspension, stereo, rims etc etc - its a sweet car. Not tryin to sell you on it or nuthin, but thats what you can get in a 32 for that kind of money. $9-10k is more the 89-90 32's that came in uner 15 year rule which personally I never considered when I bought my 32 gts-t (my first car). My two cents
  19. Well for my GTR one key opens doors and starts car and seperate key opens boot. I have got another two keys also though, maybe one of them opens all, im not too sure. Either way, basically if the key doesn't open the boot I would not assume it has been in a crash, i know GTR's came with a boot specific key anyway.
  20. The key's open the car and start it only. Seperate key for the boot... Don't ask me why but thats just how it is. You mention wanting to have money spare for petrol etc... I hope you have also considered insurance!!
  21. What state are you in? Have you checked the For sale section of this forum? > http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sa...s-only-f56.html
  22. R32 hands down.... completely unbiased viewpoint!
