Same thing happened to me yrs ago but i was the second car. My mum has a friend in insurance and from what i was told, whoever is at the rear of the 'pile up' is responsible, regardless of some wanker who can't drive cutting u off or doing illegal bs u-turns(cause of my accident). Even with eyewitness and rego num, legally you cannot prove it was the reckless driver who caused unless you got it on video (seriously how stupid is that?!). So i think you might end up brunting the cost of all the repairs on the other cars and urs. It's f*ked up but I've learned to stay as far away from ppl as possible. Never trust anyone on the road!

Funny story, i thought i might just share for fun Driving to the the city on thurs last week, picking up the bf from work. Going down under the tunnel to Anzac Bridge into the city. Just cruzin along taking my time, a P plater with car load of boys in a holden astra speeding pull up next to and try to coax me into racing. Being thurs in the city, not that stupid and not that hard up for racing, I ignore them and keep cruzin. They speed off, zipping in and out of traffic soon disappear on the other side of the bridge. I come up to the corner where the bridge ends, low and behold who's parked in the middle of the off bridge but the p plater astra and a copper behind him. Thought it was funny, sucked in I say, for being a wanker. that's it, Sharing is caring lol. :D

Tough luck mate, that area of great western highway always has coppers crawling all over it. So we generally avoid driving through that area and go through the M4. Has anyone installed a recent model clarion HU to a r33 and have had no issues? Lemme break down my problem: - old clarion HU stopped putting out sound. Every hump now and then would bring the sound back. The HU lights up etc, read dics etc but no sound. - so got a new clarion HU (thought we could just plug it in to the old plug). Plugged it in old plug still no sound!!! and is reading dics and lights up etc. The only diff between the plugs is an extra 3amp wire that's supposed to be connected to the battery. So F@#K, i'm stumped, I'm thinking that when we removed the rear seats we must have trodded on some wire with the seats. WHo knows, nfi anymore with this damn stereo prob. Any thoughts u guys can provide would be helpful!!

If ur buying in Vic m8 don't go Aussie Car Compliance, coz they in sydney. But if ya don't care, the doode that runs it is a good bloke. 12 mnths rego and warranty but if ur looking at 15k u aint getting one a car from him. His prices go from $17.5 k up for a manual S2, dunno if he imports S1's.

Don't think you're supposed to use degreaser, suppose to use contact cleaner wont damage the AFM inside bits.

Maybe u can get one second hand from ppl's wrecked lines, on the for sale forum. Replace it and when u do wait for the little c#%^'s to come steal it and catch em in the act and beat the s#^*'s out of em,teach em a lesson to touch things that aren't theirs.

The idle hunting has stopped hasnt done it since that night, cleaned the afm to be sure. Hasnt come back at all, so maybe the air leak sound is not from AFM. Maybe turbo?

k, car has got one month before warranty runs out and now it's makin noises. Need to figure out wat it is so it can be repaired under warranty, so needing some help to find out wat the hell is making these noises. 1. Pulley sound from engine area, did a search b4 found out that it's a common sound wid the lines. Recently tho, it's getting louder and more frequent and only goes away when u push the clutch in. Is this normal or am I just being paranoid? 2. Had a recent event that had the idle 'hunting' and the car not boosting properly. Day after, the engine idle hunting stopped but now there's a sound like a high pitched sound like there's an air leak somewhere when u push down the accelerator while driving. Sometimes tho u can smell oil after a drive. I'm taking guesses here, but i'm thinking might be the exhaust gasket or exhaust manifold, or a blown turbo. Dunno, is there any way i check to find out wat the hell it is?! Any advice is appreciated.

jumped in today, warmed her up well, didnt boost al the way to the petrol station, hagd put in optimax to try it out for hte first time last fill, nothing al the way to the bpo servo and filled, took her to 4k rpm nothing happened, idled fine the entire way, cleaned my afm anyway though prolly right cleaned the damed car then it rained olike crazy today, nice an sunny, half way through the bloody wax and it starts piossing down, out comes the car cvover but to latre she's covered in twater... ... and now the stez wont outpu any sound, turns on great but no sound.. f**kING CARS !!! eh, il check teh exhuast manifold studs tomoz and read the diy aac clean, see whats involve4d

owned the car just over 1 month, cruise to my cousins for the tike's birthday with the misses, pull up after basicaly not exceeding 3k rpm's, no harsh bashing, just simple cruise to penrith from blacktown. basically pulled up and the idle is jumping from 650-1100 rpms, all over hte place, noticed casue had a cig durring customary wait period ( i just like to be careful) point being get back in, warm her up, its 1am, starts again all ovr hte place. decide to get home, stalls getting out of hte drive, copping shit for my "new car" dieing on its ass. then it stops and idles @ 900, stable, sit @ major intersection and after a while it starts again, so little down the road an pull into bp, check around with her idling, look for something new, leaks etc, something noticeable, hear a slight ticking inhte exhuast when i get down to check underneath for fluids or something out of sorts, (something telling me to stop go no furhter essentially), shut down, check for water froth, none, has plenty oil, noticed its running real hot, like over heating...like turbo is stil way hot like i was peaking it out. decide must get home, babying it the entire way, no positive boost, get hoime, idle her for almost 5 minutes, shut down and sounds like i ran her hard and turned her of without idle, heat contracting sounds. but no funky idle this time... exhuast gasket ? avc in the plenum neeed cleaning ? underfueling causeing to much heat from my almost stock car? assume all stock except the deep purple top injectors (stock fuel rail so id say side feed's), unknown size / type suspitions abound and the 2.5" cat back and unknown cat, stock bov, stock location etc think my importer / dealer will honour the 3 month warranty for this ? planning on making that call anyway, damed thing was only there literally today to get an unrelated minor fualt fixed ( windscreen squirter pump ) i know its not his fualt..... but point is it was there today and i doubt he will accept this and fix it, f**king bullshit i say. guess il find out ranting eh f**k sake... love the damed thing,

i have stock s2 wing... on my s2 funnily enough I dont mind it now so much, before owning i hated it, eh pref a do-luck style flat boot but sourceing one has been bullshit only 1 ive seen was on a car for sale4, and he wouldnt sell even with swap s2 wing with light is good because it means i dont have to mount a shity "hi rear light" on the ass as its stock but then again I hate the look of the side water guards but i wont take them off cause i hate turning on wiper after cold night or rain and getting a shitload of water inside the car, used to happen on my old car heh, hate mixing use vs looks eh, geting some 18" for hte bling ima leave the rest, im pretty happy with the rest

Just a quick question guys: (Did a search, didn't find anything, but i might just suck at looking) I know tat R32 strut bars only fit R32, so does a R33 GTR front strut bar fit on a R33 GTS-T? Also regarding rear ones, do the r32 rear fit a r33 or only an r33 bar?
