  4. im with you merli.. clean example of a modded 33 gtst.. but i for one have always been under the asumption the skyline GTX was powered by a ca18 in both r32 r33 and r34 models... or was that the GT-Xi... i cant remember either way.

  7. snap on man sells a blue point jack.. its 65mm tall can lift up to ton and half.. roughly 550-600bux has high ratio pump thing.. and can lift 600mm off ground heres half of it in a picture..
  8. if your on a budget look around for a pair of r34 N1's.. and i take it your not mechanically minded enough to change the turbos over.. which sucks cause that'd possibly save you extra money you'd need to buy the decent turbos.. im interested to hear how much you get stung to get them exchanged as ive done it a couple times now

  12. sadly i dont have a hoist.. do have a bluepoint engine crane.. will have to see if its up to the task. ive done the 26 with 25gearbox many times and its been piece of piss thru the top.. the thing that really got me worried with doin it in the gtr is the even larger gearbox again with transfer case and all the extra shit there is however many people have confirmed its possible so i should be able to do it
  13. a mate of mines rb20(170,000k's) returnd 110 across all 6 on a comp test(snap on comp tester)... his motor has copped an absolute caining.. we havent been able to kill it yet its not so much about the reading as for some reason all the comp testers ive used have returned different results compared to others you also have to remember an rb20 has very small stroke/bore dont expect it to have similar compression on the tester compared to a rb25/26 or a 30 mainly look at how even it is across the motor.. but in saying dont pay to much attention to the pressure reading.. if you havent got 3 didgets as the read out.. it might be something to look into thats my thoughts anyway..
  14. hey was just wondering if anyone can confirm that its possible to lift the motor and gearbox out thru the engine bay in one go? of do they have to be split? i know with my silvia i can shoehorn the motor and gearbox out together (rb26 and r33 5speed) so just curious if anyone has done this to a r32 before?

  21. ahh yep.. i saw rb27 and assume it was 26 head.. however another quick read thru im unsure?
