  1. do you live anywhere near a race track? thats the best place to test out your handling.
  2. so you're going to this one Wayne? you lucky bugger
  3. my bet is on inner or outer rack end bushing failure.
  4. if Winton is a slow and tight circuit as I understand it is, run as much negative camber on the front as you can. you could benefit from getting adjustable shocks or coilovers. if you are understeering increase rear stiffness and/or soften the front. if you are oversteering soften the rear and/or increase front stiffness. is the strut brace on the front? if you find you are understeering it will help to remove the front strut brace. cheers
  5. are you looking for new or 2nd hand?
  6. I think you'd be pushed to fit a 255 on an 8 inch rim. we havent tested out the soft compound yet but once the fronts wear out on our race car I intend to get a set of soft compound for the fronts and see how they go. lap times will be the answer to whether they are a significant improvement or not.
  7. he he Dubai I'd like to see that!
  8. if you're talking quarter mile Anthony then first place to look is tyres. a set of MIckey Thompson ET Street radials will go a long way to eliminating any wheel spin. prices are on our web site
  9. I would so love to come to this but its such a loooooong way from Brisbane!!
  10. yes the sprints is the best way to get started in motor sport. go to www.queenslandraceway.com.au and you will find an entry form for the sprints and the calendar to see when the next event is on. the next one is in early September.
  11. I find the RE55s are the best compromise between grip and longevity, they generally last on our car for around 130 laps. we also can get you RE55s at competitive prices: http://www.amecautocare.com.au/bridgestonetyres.htm
  12. G4s, D2s, Racing Logics are all very similar products. I have D2s on my car and have been happy with them. Best value for money is the HSDs, which I can get you from $1330 for the street version.
  13. just go to an exhaust shop and ask them to build the exhaust you want, easy. I would recommend the Muffler Shop in stones corner. really old looking building but they are actually very good.
  14. move the needle fully clockwise until it stops. then continue rotating clockwise to loosen the needle. do the same anti clockwise and do this a few times. then get a fork and GENTLY lift the fork until the needle comes off. the shaft should remain in the tacho mechanism.
  15. you would at least need to upgrade your injectors, to be able to harness the full potential of the turbos you're going to upgrade to. if you want to run enough boost to spool up the turbos then you'll need enough fuel delivery to keep your air/fuel ratio safe. we can get you nismo 555 injectors for an RB26DETT for $1110 delivered. a sard fuel pressure regulator wouldnt hurt either, more fuel pressure = better injector spray pattern = more efficient combustion = more power. $195 for the reg.
  16. I can get you a new black screen SAFC II for $450. doubtful that you will get what you're looking for, used, no scratches, for $250.
  17. alot of this going around! first Bendix Ultimates now DBA pads! I would get your mechanic to confirm the problem and take it up with the manufacturer.
  18. a weird sound? do you mean like squealing?
  19. alot of this going around at the moment. alot of people have had these in before without squealing. I have heard a rumour that there is a bad batch of pads causing this. could be just a rumour or there could be some truth to it. probably best to try contacting bendix about it and mention that this is occurring on alot of cars at the moment.
  20. depends on what you are looking to do with your car. street? circuit? drags? drift?
  21. we do a white face 300 km/h speedometer kit for the R33 GTST, $110, check it out here: http://www.amecautocare.com.au/R33300Kits.htm
  22. 1. look under the rear of the car from the back. if it's been locked up there will be a lock bar that looks something like this: 2. it helps high speed cornering 3. for weight reduction mostly. also some people dont like how the car feels at high speed especially on race tracks 4. see 2. difficult to answer. anyone else?
  23. usually dampening force is adjustable via turning pegs on the tops of coilovers. somethimes they are marked with lines and numbers. if you see something like this then they are probably adjustable for dampening force.
  24. I've heard good things about Mickey Thompsons. what size are you looking for?
