  1. Nice spot, I'll remember that one
  2. My understanding is that they moved further down the same road?
  3. hah my bad
  4. hahahahaha that's a good one Beau
  5. I might come for a look
  6. I'd say that Rare Spares would have them If they don't have stuff listed for imports, try and see if the R31 plugs fit, I know they have those as we needed a heap during my engine conversion
  7. Nissan wanted to do a turbo GTS but didn't for a lot of reasons that are still unclear, stuff like they wouldn't produce it without an intercooler, but having one would have driven the development and sale costs too high, Nissan engineers wouldn't approve them without 5 stud hubs, etc etc, though I personally don't believe the 5 stud hub one There was a concept prototype Silhouette GTS with an intercooled RB30ET that ran something like 200kw/400Nm and a flat 14 second 1/4 mile, which was awesome for 1987/88 6 cylinder
  8. Public servant here, IT all rounder to be exact. So I went for the office job option.
  9. too true, you're more going to need a second battery and a heavy duty alternator
  10. The diff ratio difference is kind of offset a bit by the VL being around 50-100kg lighter than the R31, depending on the variant. Either way, each time I've seen an "acceleration comparison" *cough*, back in my irresponsible teenage years, I only saw a VL in front once. non turbo against non turbo of course
  11. I remember reading on here somewhere that Iridium plugs are meant to be a good match for a set of Splitfire coil packs......?
  12. That vehicle..... is an error in the space time continuum. A reality fart, if you will.
  13. for looks it's down to personal preference. Call me biased because I have a 31 (on my 3rd) but I really don't like the way VL's look. They look to me like Holden got lazy when it caime to facelift the Commodore so they made the VL look like a stretched and warped Camira. I'll concede that the 31s are boxy, but I think they pull it off, and bugger me if I don't think they're dead sexy when there neeat and tidy (i.e. looked after), lowered to the right height with the right set of wheels and a cooler poking out the front end. When my Simmons arrive in a few weeks, I'll show you what I mean.
  14. So when are you planning to blow the motor on your R33 GT-R Beau? When you schedule it can you please let me know when it's going to happen so I can be there with a camera to capture that magical moment of pride that I'm sure is going to be all over your face?
  15. Forgot to post it yesterday, but I saw a HAWT black R32 GT-R with black plates yesterday morning parked just off Allara Street in the city, seem to remember it had black rims with a polished lip as well.
  16. Bah you people want to see a sports car you should all go get some Daihatsu Mira goodness into ya
  17. Ben wired the engine conversions on both mine and R31DET's cars, the quality of work was pretty good. I have taken my car back to him since and have no problem with him working on it, but I really don't like the idea of taking a car to Evo even if it isn't one of their staff working on it.
  18. .....? What are YOU up to?
  19. That was me, I went past him right before this epic tale unfolded.... “…..and so there was a 2001-esque model M3 sitting next to the rattly old Skyline, approaching the Duntroon adjacent roundabout. And so the pilot of the M3 decided that he would demonstrate the mighty roaring power of his wealthy executive intended Bavarian form of transport. And so he squashed thine loud pedal into the thick carpeted floor upon exit of the now navigated roundabout, sure of his $140,000 ticket to M-tuned superiority. Much to his total dismay, the near 16 year old red and silver bucket sat next to his finely tuned piece of German engineering, until the electronic engine revolutionometer limter was approached at the loud end of both vehicle's "power spectrums". Not that this kind of behaviour is condoned.... but there's no way in hell I was going to pass up that opportunity (Truth be told from a standing start he'd probably smash me with all that launch control gadgetry)
  20. I would have gone 34, but as it's not in the list, I went 32.
  21. I was standing down the other end of the track when it happened, but I did see it happen quite clearly, also watching the footage of it, just seems that the driver had too much angle when he entered the corner and tried too hard to correct it, so it swung round the other way too hard and went into the fence mid corner.
  22. Went Past Erica on Allara street this morning coming into work, gave/got a wave
  23. I work with one of the more senior staff members at Summernats, I was talking to him about it this morning, he tells me on pretty good authority that the C.A.P.A. team "Won't be doing that again next year." But we all kinda figured that out for ourselves anyway
  24. Ask in the NSW section on the R31 Skyline Club forums (http://forum.r31skylineclub.com/index.php) You'd have a much better chance on there
