  2. thats what i keep tellin him (i'm the one who advises him on this) but he wont listen. his reference for modifying his car is the fast and furious, which is ok for sum ppl... but he wants a flame thrower kit so he can have all his fanboys wen he rocks up to maccas on a satday night, but honestly, what would u guys think if u saw this?

  5. do all companies have the same rating system, like if u get up to rating 2, and change companies, your stillon rating 2 right? also, a mate just got a 33 GTS-4 non-turbo, hes just turned 18, im not 100% sure, but im guessing its classed at a risky area... (dandenong in Vic for those who know it) and just cars want 2500, to me this sounds a bit high, as another friend with a turbo 34 GT-t is only payin about a grand more. also, from wot i was told by my mate, his excess is only $650 (for the 33 that is), does that sound right, or would that be excess on third party cover? and does ur rating go up if u only have third party cover, or do u have to have full comp. sorry, i know theres alot of questions, but we're lookin at an insurance policy by tomoro cheers guys, Ben

  10. so far, he's only lookin at the baics, exhaust, cooler, PFC, boost. hows the fuel system hold up in 34's? wheres the limit of it, and how far will a pump upgrade go, as far as power levels with stock injectors etc. but between those mods, i guess he'd be lookin at around 220rwkw...
  11. doesnt the PFC have boost controller built in? if he gets the hand controller with it, he wouldnt need an EBC. is the boost control function hard to use on th PFC? is a stand alone EBC much easier to use than a PFC. he needs a headunit to, he wants an alpine (forgot exact model) thats about $700
  12. a build up of air in the ATTESA system? from memory this would cause the front wheels to be very slow to engage, maybe even a couple of seconds. normally wen u go around a corner and put the boot into it, would the front torque split engage immeadiately? watch the guage for the torque split, see how quick it is to respond next time, or if it climbs real slowly. might need to give the system a bleed. i may be totally rong here, this is just off the top of my head, so if i'm rong, please correct me
  13. yeh i thought about that, got anything easier? i really cbf with that, u see, im kinda the lazy type, and i dont like workin with those bodgy wind up jacks personally. ma mate would probly freak and not let me jack it up anyway... he doesnt know all that much wen it comes to cars, and panics wen anyone touches something, if he doesnt know wot it is himself... basically everything. thanks for the tip, and keep the ideas comin cheers, Ben
  14. hey guys, i was just wondering what the easiest way is to identify an L.S.D on an R34 GT-t, without just baggin em up, as its not my car. i'm pretty sure its an LSD, as wen ma mate plants it, the back comes around very quick, when he launches, it even steps out a bit, but another mate of mine keeps tellin me that its not, coz he cant find a tag on the diff itself (and hes a mechanic that deals with quite a few skylines, so i cant just tell him hes plain rong, i want some evidence). is there anythin in the VIN number that will tell u if its an LSD or not? like on the supras? is there something i need to look at on the diff itself? cheers, Ben
