its knocking at idle.... thats really strange, never heard of it before. how come this is happening now, age shouldnt effect timing, a/f ratio or anything like this, so what causes it?
-
hrmm... taking into consideration what arbess said, i think it needs a turbo, or a supercharger. imagine a ship flyin past u on the limiter (it could be bumped up to 150rpm i rkn) with the signature supercharger whine, or a HKS SSQV

Need Some Advice On Hid Xenon Convertion Kits

anyone want a 34 any time soon, maybe you could organise a direct swap? maybe cash adjustment if necessary -
yeh, i rkn this one is real. you can see the split in the bonnet in the 4th or 5th pic(s), add a couple of struts, that explains the bonnet. you can see the airbag setup in the boot (u can just see the 2 black tanks). the boot opening up like that has been done a million times, just hinges/struts. the door setup is just hinges, nothing special about that. other than that, i cant really see anything to make it seem as tho its been chopped. as has previously been said, there are some pretty crazy cars over there. anyone seen the 300ZX with 2JZ and massive single turbo setup?

how much is he actually in debt? if u feel like telling us of course... the work he had done, how much is this in relation to the value of the car? cause i mean if you just spent a sum of money on a car only worth much less, you realy dont wanna sell it to pay the debt off. is the car completely paid for yet? or does he have to pay for the car and the work? -

i seriously dont think his lights are even halogen, i think there normal globes, you can't see f*ck all if its more than 30ft infront of the car.. pretty scary really. i doubt the importer would give them back to him though, what do they normally do with these left overs? he bought the car about 2 months ago, so it might be too late also -
well, lets not forget fellas, this is the guy who wanted a flame thrower kit... LOL only jk

im with beer baron on this one, get all your mates to scrape together the money and pay it off asap, then let your mate pay you all back wen he can. what the workshop is doing is perfectly legal, theres nothing you can do, or very little anyway. do it before they sell the car, or maybe talk to the shop owner, plead with him to pull it out of storage. edit - i know ppl that own workshops, performance workshops, and they get f*cked around like this all the time, granted, i would think about the whole violence thing too, but seriously, thats jsut stupid. i believe your mate did lose his job, and i feel sorry for him, but put yourself in the workshop owners position, how many good honest ppl do u think went there then lost there jobs n sh*t like that. last workshop owner i spoke too had many years of kung fu experience, and you woulda never guessed it, being a typical auddie bloke, hes caught many ppl off guard with that. if you do anything stupid, be prepared to get whats coming to you. edit2: i know driftlimo has made no indication of goin down that route, its more about what other ppl have said. this is not a personal attack on anyone here, just what i've found from my very limited experience in life -

last time i saw, they take the stock xenon lights out as they are too bright making them illegle or something (during compliance), but do they just change the globe, or do they remove ballast/igniter and other associated equipment? -
hell yeah. has anyone attempted this yet/thought about it? but for the sake of this pole, supra any day of the week. bolt on big turbo, add lots of fuel and tune it properly, easiest 600hp+ ur ever gonna see. where is the common 'limit' of GT-R internals? i know the pole is for GT-t's, but im feeling generous here, so i'll let the skyline boys use the GT-R for this one

ok, so a basic rundown, assuming your gettin an importer to do it for u: Vehicle Cost at auction Compliance Deposit (not sure how many want this upfront) Imports Broking Fee Freight Import Duty Customs GST Transport (docks to workshop) Compliance Tyres Immobiliser or Alarm Roadworthy Certificate Vehicle registration 12 months Stamp Duty / Transfer i think alot of the time, its not worth it on the 32's, coz there probly only worth about 3k at auction, and you'll spend 10+ tryin to get it here, you could just go buy one here, at least then you know exactly what your gettin PS: the one u want is a 91, so it will be under SEVS making it more expensiv still, try and get one under the pre-89 rule

he got those rims coz the insurer couldnt find replacement 17's. he got those, got the insurer to fit/balance em, picked the car up yesterday morning, took that pic yesterday, then stacked last night, so the pic was just a few hours before the crash
-
the car looks alot higher than it previously did, maybe the tyres arent a lower profile, ie there is a bigger rolling diameter, ie the speedo will be off...
-
where do u check these? coz a friend wants me to check his. i dont know what the vin is right now, but i can find out. is there a database somewhere that everyone has access to? or is it only certain ppl that can check? i wanna buy a skyline soon too hopefully, and have seen a few at a good price, some very good... is there a database of stolen car's VINs
-
whose car is it. ur planning should be on the car itself, not from a picture of some-one elses. what exhaust mods are u talking about exactly?
-
oh, i thought u already had one. how come the plenum now stops you from bleeding the cooling system?(never done any cooling system work on 33's maself) i cant really see how they would be of much benefit on a system that already has a header tank with pressure cap though.. basically, they do the same job. does the factory header tank have any form of 'breather'? if not then this might do sumthin for you
-
have u got it mounted so its the highest point of ur cooling system?

Are Ceramic Turbine Wheels Really That Bad?
VB- replied to VB-'s topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yeah i know that, but what is exactly that f*cks up? GTRgeoff explained that they 'grow' and then the epoxy can no longer hold them in place. i thought it was the epoxy that was the only reason they let go, and thought if there was another way to hold the wheels in place, there could be some serious potential in them, but if indeed they do 'grow', then there may not be anything to keep them in place, and maybe thats why no-one has put any developement into them. still, it would be interesting to see, a bigger turbo capable of 30PSI+ with a ceramic turbine to help it spool up quicker, maybe even a ball bearing core... -
i was lookin at shannons the other day, and was going to do an online estimate, but one of the first things i read was sumthin that gave me the impression you have to be over 25 to insure with them, whats the go? i'd like to go with shannons, they seem to be one of the best, but i thought i couldnt coz i was too young
-
so where would u go about gettin a cheap lower lip?
-
i dont really like it, the front end, especially the lights just looks plain ugly to me, but it is startin to grow on me. overall a pretty mean package though. did anyone else notice the bentley continental GT rear end, and, to a lesser extent, side profile.
-
yeh, would look sweet with sum deeeep dish

i'll get the demolition saw
