this reminds me alot of something i read about average power, where u take dyno figures from several different rpm point, and dividing by the number of rpm points used... you can have your big turbos and be out accelerated by a stock car, providing theres no rev limiter launchs

wow, looks awesome! the 1JZ is said to be better than the equivelant nissan engine, with stock internals holding up with 350rwkw... thought i havent been around these engines too much. there was actually an article in ether HPI or zoom a while back, where they did an article on 1JZ vs. RB26, a very interesting read indeed. the results were much closer than u would expect, ie within 5 or 10kw from stock through numerous stages of tuning (both with the same mods of course)

u cut your springs? it looks alot lower with those new rims on it, but u havent got the S13 gear yet have u?

doubt it, usually turbo timer is only there if u shut it down hot (like if ur giving it to it for the run home) but u didnt, so i doubt that would be the issue. i dunno about damaging turbos and if they owuld stop the car starting? what happens when u try to start it? does it crank or nothing at all?

yeh sound deadening isnt just about rattles, its about imporving sound quality. think about the woofers in ur doors, if u seal the door, its kinda like a sealed box for a sub (as opposed to playing it free air), just on a smaller scale. this has been my understanding anyway, havent really done it myself as yet but i have NEVER heard of anyone having negative effects from it

yeh i gotta mate who does compliance for SSV, aswell as heaps of other ones, and he swears mark is the only legit one. i been there only once myself, friendly guy, nice cars, definately worth a look. a friend got his 34 from kamikaze, and that would probly be the first place i would look. slightly higher prices, but a very clean operation they got goin on. then theres places like JSA.... dont even bother. i rkn half there cars are un-roadworty. alot of cars too low, even saw a 34 with tyres out past the guard, bodykit not held on properly (still for sale i might add, after several months...), looks like the cars arent even kept clean.

was just looking at an RB26 converted GTt, and i think the engine is from a 32, notorius for havin trouble with the oil pump drive, and i believe it has been rebuilt at some stage (so my guess is its from a 32) but was just wandering what visual differences to look out for? PS - anyone remember what issue of HPI/ZOOM had the in depth article about the differences in each model? not the GT-R special 5, thats lookin at the cars, im just interested in the article about engines. edit - i just took a closer look, and it would appear it was an NA auto before it was converted. what are the major differences between the NA and turbo, apart from engine and gearbox. brakes? suspension? diff? im assuming single spinner what else?

about the insurance thing, when he got the quote, he gave them all the details, they know he just got his P's, they know exactly what car hes got, so shouldnt they just tell him straight up, we cant insure you? what sort of stipulations are there on a typical contract as to what will void it? if it says they will cover him driving that car, how can they take his money, then only tell him they cant cover him after an accident? and btw, COULDNT GET PICS, PLACE AINT OPEN WEEKENDS!!!!

yeh i've seen some turbo manual 34's goin for the 25k mark, maybe a few more kms than u'd like, but helluva nice car.

no chance of that, i stay away from drugs as much as possible, and this is the best country in the world, i aint leavin overseas holidays dont interest me much ether, money could be better spent on a car..

yeh i am young, but i doubt a first time assault would land me in jail, apart from a soemthing like what happened to david hooks, still unlikely though.... and if the guy poses a serios threat to me, and something did happen, i know it wouldnt be self-defense, but it would definately be taken into consideration. anyone care to share their wisdome on this? because yes i am young, and im sure there is alot i dont understand

well maybe, but i've also had sumthin like this happen to me n ma mum one night. she went to change lanes and didnt see the guy, he beeped his horn, it was all good. then wen we got to the set of lights, he got out of the car, pissed, and started goin on 'what are u lookin at!' and typical sh*t like that, i tried staying calm approach, he didnt do anything, just got back in his car after he had his speel and left. ma mum was really shaken up by this, and called the police with his details and wot not, and they just didnt care, they said the usual like yeah we'll look into. stay calm, its the right thing to do!

gazza750 - if u were sittin at a set of lights and someone ran into you, and then just days later sum idiot tries to run u off the road coz he's havin a bad day or whatever, you'd hand your licence in and go do more driver training? andrus driving isnt that bad, i wouldnt get into the car with him if it was, just a spate of bad luck and not wanting to take sh*t from sum idiot. i feel sorry for u all if u get people yelling at u, throwing stuff, namely lit cigarettes, at ur car and u do nothing about it. and as somebody else already said, he was cut off and had people doing stupid things to him, he stopped, got the plates, called the cops and what happened, sweet f*ck all. u go on about andru goin after the guy, so he had what coming to him, who would expect some-one to try n run em off the road over a few heated words? if u ever walk down the street at night(or even day for that matter), people could bash you and take ur wallet, fone and stuff like that, but i bet u all walk down the street still dont u. i'm not 100% sure on this, but im guessing that more people get bashed for their sh*t than people get rammed off the road.
