this round of mods is puerly to get car registered things like oil pump and head work will be done in time. will not be chasing any real power over stock until turbos get done even then it will only be very small increase. 400rwkw is a long term goal
-
http://www.lewisengines.com.au/ ATM im more worried about getting car licensed. I would be happy with just over 300rwkw for quite awhile. N1's seam to give good power they are bolt on and steel wheeled. any power goals over 300rwkw will not be for awhile id rather a very streetable car than power monster. I real time tuned on old 32 gts-t and found the stock ecu a joy to work with. If GTRs in Japan can run megga power on stock ecu's i dont under stand why more people dont give it a go here.

Purchased a 32 GTR afew weeks ago. It is unregistered but has been complied. 6th cylinder has no compression Here are my plans for the rebuild. Looking at sending the engine over east to Lewis Engines. Will cost $300 to freight it there and back Basic rebuild will cost $5600 this consists of the following: forged pistons and rings ARIAS bore and hone deck block cracktest and grind crank blueprint all clearances ACL comp bearings multi layer steel head gasket reco head gates race belt waterpump tensioners Welch plugs reco and modified oil pump line hone main tunnels resize rods new bushes and arp rod bolts balanced Was then thinking of paying an extra $350 for r33 jun collar $699 for H Beam forged rods Will then slap it back in running all stock gear. After it is licensed i will then look for new turbo setup. Is it worth keeping twins or going single? Was thinking of finding some N1 turbos What do you think of the setup? Wanting to pull around 350rwkw maybe upto 400 late next year. Will the bottom end listed be ok to handle that? I know i shouldnt build an engine then stick stock turbos on there but i need to get it licenses asap. Will keep stock boost untill i can replace the turbos/hi flow them. Could even stick a single gt30/gt3540 on there. Will be tuning stock ecu as i have her hardware and software to do it

Fs Rb30det, Gearbox Turbo Setup

Engine has 0 compression as the head is off. It was tested before i bought it but i cant remember the exact figures were pretty stright across all 6. Block/boars look to be in perfect condiotion. There is no crap/metal in the sump. New tensioner is already on the block. VVT has the external oil feed connected. I have the complete loom aswell This engine was assembled when i bought it. I test drove the car it come out off and was in excelent running condition. Idle was smooth as. Off boost responce was great. When boost hit it hit hard and the car really hammered, I have never gotten out of a car and felt relieved that i survived the encounter. The head has just come back from getting checked out and having a problem stud fixed So that part is also in great condition -

I have a 99 pathfinder it runs a vg33 so naturally a vg30dett out of a 300zx may do nice in mine and could also go in yours. Not sure a I6 will fit in the engine bay -

Can you change mine for Crans -
I will be a guniea pig for this if needed. Have a r32 gts-t. And have a rb30det sitting in a shead waiting to go in. Using a series 2 head and i have a pfc to go with it. Features of this thing sound good so will sell pfc and give this a go
-
Buy the ECU to go with the head you are using. I have a series 2 rb25 head for mine so i also got a pfc to suit a series 2 rb25

Rb27 Tunning Problems, And Issues.
Crans replied to Shockster0429's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Can you explain how this is done? I have a 25/30 about to go it and wouldnt mind being able to adjust the exhaust side -
rb20 ecu will work and should be a direct plug in. I think u need to have a series 1 car for this. Then just use an aftermarket vct controller
-
you can even just oder the nistune board and take your ecu to a tv repair shop and have therm install it for you. Or do it your sef its very easy to install
-
If you were in WA i know u could get that price. maybe even cheaper depending on dyno hire costs
-
Nistune installed into your ecu should be no more than $300. +250 an hour tuning. Car with basic mods should only require a clean up of fuel mixtures and abit more timing 2 hours max but should be able to be done in 1 hour
-
Around the $600 mark for the hardware installed
-
I have alos been told that if the front tires are old/not in good condition this can cause the problem. Balancing the tires wont help
-
Find out how much Nisture is to get tuned? That way we can see how much there charging you for its installation.
-
R33 ecu can be remapped. I was talking to the guy in the US that does it about bringing his product to WA. He needs a minimum of 15 orders for me to buy them off him. I use Nistune for my tuning atm so if there is enought interest in the 33 i dont see why we couldnt bring it here. If 15 people come to me and hand over the cash for the boards ill order them ands get the tuning software.
-
Nistune hardware fully installed(not tuned should not cost more that $300) + $250 an hour tuning.
-
Who is charging you $1000 for nistune installed and tuned?
-
i have a powerfc with hand controller that im not sure if im going to use also have the dataloggit hardware and software. Its for a series 2 tho will that work?
