If this is the part that connects the radiator support to the castor rod, it is A31/C33 cefiro/laurel only.
-
Any cefiro tacho should work, besides the RB24S. That leaves a few more options, RB20E, RB25DE, RB20DET. Manual or auto doesn't make a difference. Interested about the S14 cluster sortof fitting, would be good for people who do SR conversions, both the tacho and speedo would suit engine/gbox conversion.

What Head Light Bulbs To Use In Ceffy ?want Hid
daisu replied to robots's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
When my ceffy had projectors, it had the same style bulbs all round. Can't remember if it was H3 or H3C. I had the style of bulb that just has 2 pins on the back. The other style uses the bulb surround for ground, and has an insulated wire for the positive. I'm pretty sure there is an article on SAU about changing from the 2 pin style to the 1 wire style because it offers higher wattage globes (like 80W and 120W), you'd have to upgrade your wiring/relays though to handle that kind of load. -
If money is tight, you can use R32 hubs/brakes on the rear (again use the A31 handbrake cables), and R32/S14 calipers/discs on the front S14 hubs. Though I would recommend using the R33 brakes considering the weight of the Cefiro. Auto console won't fit a manual handbrake lever unfortunately, you'll have to do a bit of hunting for a manual one. As for seatbelts, I've heard maxima belts fit (read the parts compatibility guide topic).
-
They are different size/shape, doesn't fit...... unless you install an R32 dashboard......
-
Unfortunately it isn't the same as the skyline console, though I have seen photos/heard people using skyline (r32 and R33) center consoles to surround the handbrake. I'd suggest using a cefiro/laurel console otherwise you'll have to modify the skyline one to make it fit.

You need to remove the plate to fit the handbrake cable through the floor pan.
-
There is a hole in the floor pan for the cable, but it has a little metal plate tack welded on (i managed to twist it off with pliers/screwdriver). The plate is sealed up with a big chuck of some plastic sealant stuff. Use an R32 handbrake lever.
-
All you need is the master cylinder, not the whole brake booster/master (as I thought when I did mine whoops). Just the two bolts to hold it on to the front of the booster. Also, make sure you don't put the calipers on upside down, (ie right hand side caliper on the left hand side hub, and vice versa)
-
Make sure you get yourself an upgraded master cylinder, otherwise you will have a long brake pedal.
-
S14 are cast, 300zx are alloy. Besides the weight, I don't think there is any other difference.

Only 1 supplier of kits? Or only one person in Aus with a final K kit on their ceffy?

To me? Say yes!

Blow Off Valve Is Causing Car To Stall!

third choice, make it recirculate (same setup as factory). -
You have PM.

Rear subframe? They fit, (I have an S13 rear subframe in mine), but the handbrake setup on the hubs is different, requiring either custom handbrake cables or installation of cefiro/skyline hubs. Why anyone would install an S13 rear subframe is beyond me.
-
The R32 GTST and S13 diff mounting is the same, but the R32 uses 5*1 bolt pattern for the half shaft flanges, as opposed to the S13's 3*2 bolt pattern. Cefiro's use 3*2 bolt pattern, though it is easily possible it has been changed.

Ceffy Stock Tacho To Read 4cyl Signal
daisu replied to Mrlag's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
My theory, get an S13 SR cluster (one with a broken speedo or something cheap) and remove the tachometer board, swap it onto the cefiro cluster (keep the Cefiro face plates so it still looks factory). Or, you can buy aftermarket tachometers that aren't 5" wide and don't come with shift lights and recall functions, remove the original tacho from the cluster and make a new faceplate from the original, with a hole in the middle to suit your aftermarket tachometer. Either that, or if you can find some sort of electronic device that multiplies frequencies? -
I paid 5k for my RB20E auto cefiro, but the interior and paintwork was immaculate, save a few scratches on the bumper. I'd be aiming for close to that depending on the condition of the car and the year. As for manual conversion, peace of piss. Read up this article here http://d1nz.org.nz/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2541 The original write ups for auto/manual, na/turbo and 4/5stud conversions are on the first page, but the auto/manual conversion has been rewritten on the last page (page 20). The pictures on the first page don't work, but you can find them about halfway through the thread.
-
I'm also keen to know, what the setup is on the rear? I'm assuming it would be the same as the cefiro/laurel, in that it is 4 stud, but still has the drum style handbrake separate from the calipers. Or do they use cable operated calipers (like the silvia?)
-
People, I'm after a set of handbrake cables from an R32 4 door please. Cheers, Luke ************* Thanks people, I have found the cables and purchased them.
-
Fair enough, well I'll be comparing size of my spare GTST front swaybar with the factory sway bar on the ceff tomorrow, possible upgrade.
-
I'm pretty sure the Skyline front sway bar is different, because cefiros use S13 front suspension. Whiteline makes swaybars specifically for cefiros (different to S13) because of the increased weight.
