  1. today's the last day for nominations, so if you want to help out your club now is the time to let us know. even if you want to help with events/motorsport/newsletter whatever let us know. M
  2. true but then the club is vouching for your car being RWC and liable for it... so most clubs require RWC anyhow
  3. oh and from reading vicroads you apply for the permit each year..and present your RWC each year, so you have to pass a RWC each year...
  4. SAU is not a vicroads authorized club for club permit scheme, and I cannot see this changing as there is not much need considering most ppl's cars here are not more than 25 years old.
  5. used to be just club events and you had to have all the doco for that, became too hard. it's now 90 days and you have to fill the book in prior to departing as above no book unrego. car still has to be RWC. car has to be more than 25 years old thee is a very limited number of clubs that you can be a member of and you have to go though them to get it, not like cams where if you are a member your are automatically eligible. So if you have an old car you hardly drive then it all good. but as a rule they make it a pain to discourage you, and you only save a couple hundred a year. I looked at it for the stang but decided full rego was easier.

  23. “We plan to use our presence in the series to strengthen our passenger car credentials in Australia,” said CEO and Managing Director of Nissan Australia Dan Thompson. The model of Nissan that the team will use – and the engine package the car will utilise – will be announced at a later date. so def not GT-R or 370, hmm maybe a tiida! or even cooler a micra chasing the v8 commo's but yeah pretty sure it will be a maxima! http://www.v8supercars.com.au/championship/newsarticle/official-nissan-to-join-v8-supercars-championship/tabid/70/newsid/12124/default.aspx
  24. 600-700 damn, my track car with all mods listed is like 250 per year, with only a few was 170 hell I pay less than 600 comp for my mustang with mods
  25. I used to watch the V8's religiously but since the cars are so far removed from their road counterparts now the only one I watch is bathurst. GT3 racing is where it's all at these days. parity, running factory bodies and factory drive trains.(not always from that car however..) plus some V8 utes just as they keep crashing
