JAS-25T here posting for Team Raceworx including Neil We will be getting the car back out tomorrow - already sourced parts and a champion of a bloke that is lending us his garage to work on. We didnt come all this way to retire already. if it takes all night to fix - so be it.

Guy's had a problem with Duncan's targa car today and we are in desperate need of a left hand front radius rod. If anybody in the Hobart area can help us out today it would be very much appreciated. They are GTR specific by the way. Please contact me on 0419160561 Thanks Neil.

Well said!!!! Oh and the old Indy car will be run under "Controlled Conditions" meaning behind a pace car. Neil.

Oran Park Sports Sedans Early 1990s
Neil replied to 88silhouette's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Nice vids Mark,,,but to tell you the truth I'm not really a Rotor fan. I love Nissans and Porsches,,,just could never afford to race either of them. Roy,,,you smokin pot or what. Nothing makes the Alfa look slow. It's been at the front of sport sedans for 2 decades. Lots have come and gone but it's always been the front. If you have a big budget there is a SR20det powered RX7 that is a screamer up for lease. Neil -
I use a 6 point Sparco bought from R & R speedsport. I always try and buy as much from them as they are nice helpfull people and not the Revolution rip-offs. Neil.
-
Mick,,,any helmet that is of the standard or higher and is un-damaged is all that you require as a driver. No scrutineer can knock you back. Roy I don't doubt what your saying for one moment,,,but I'll stick with my choice of quality over cheap crap. Oh and just for the record I don't have the biggest head around here,,,tests have proven that Duncan's head size surpasses mine by a long shot. Neil.
-
I'd be up for the challenge,,,trouble is the bastard has a massive height advantage. Duncan I have a very nice cheap helmet here you can have,,,but will your fat head fit in it?. Neil.
-
Yea Jack stupid me thought having 50 odd more killowatts this year would see me well into the top ten. I forgot one very important thing,,,my 2 1/2 year old tyres. Talk about an understeering pig. All will be fixed though as I have approval from the finance minister. Neil.

Last Sunday saw the first round of the NSW supersprint championships held at Oran Park. Much to everbodies disgust the track was ill-prepared by the track admin and so we were forced to run on the short circuit. BASTARDS,,,please do ever have a go at the ARDC again EC is always clean and tidy. SAU NSW had a great weekend coming home 5th outright especially considering we only had 3 cars entered. Jason won SVD,,,well done mate and nice to meet you. John got a 3rd in SVD,,,well done as well,,,sorry mate I should have introduced myself. and i got a 2nd in my sports sedan class (beaten by 2 one-hundreths). Now the real worrying thing about all this is NOT one of us were driving a bloody Skyline. 2 300zx's and a Capri. You all call Z's boats but I don't see any of you GTR owners and GTS-T owners registered or even out there having a go. Would that be because 75% of GTR's are having engines rebuilt and GTS-T owners think there cars are to precious. Come on all you slack bums get your cars out there and help us move up the ladder. Neil.

You buy cheap cause you are cheap. I remember you cost me like 2 bucks the other night. 2 buck helmet for a 2 buck head. There's no way you can convince me a cheap crap helmet is as safe as a high quality one and neither is the fit or quality of the lining. I'll be interested to see what helmets you buy next seeing as how your current ones are just plain tragic. Neil.
-
Keep it civil,,,are you kidding. My prediction for this weekend is 1 Frosty 2 Courtney 3 Tander Ricky gets punted by oh lets see maybe Russell and is seen running to mum crying his little gay eyes out. Mum says its okay son we'll just buy you another one son. But mum I want what Todd's got. Neil.
-
Just a thought,,,but why not try aluminum checkerplate raised like 1 cm above the floor using spacers. Lots of race cars use this system. Neil.
-
After many many years of wearing bloody helmets it all comes down to you. Not every brand of helmet will fit you properly. Chicks get it a lot easier because of the lack of a protruding adams apple. I would suggest picking a budget,,,adding 300 bucks and go try heaps of them on. You will known straight away as soon as you put it on and tighten it up if it right for you. For the record I have owned Simpson, AGV's, Arai's,,,cheap crap and am now wearing a Bell Vortex Ultra which is light and comfy. My wife made me spend so much money on it,,,I get nervous when the scutineer has it in his hands. Remember try heaps of them on and don't just go to bike shops and Revolution,,,try some other motorsport shops. I did buy mine from Rev but I was lucky as it was on special. Neil.

Oil temp/Oil pressure/Factory gauge,,,all 3 can be run off the factory location using adaptors. It's an easy job. Neil.
-
Mate,,, yes you do need a change of senders but they come with the gauges and with adaptors you can keep your original dash gaugeand it's sender. You do not need a sandwich plate thats just a waste of money. I haven't seen any sandwich plates with accessory holes for senders yet. Neil.

No buddy Oakburn is Tamworth and I'm not missing that one. It's actually a go-kart track where I kicked serious butt last year. 40 more kilowatts should see me win tin-tops outright. Neil.
-
Bloody hell,,,thats a NSW Hillclimb weekend,,,I was so up for doing it,,,mainly to help Lizzy KICK some of your butts,,,you cheeky bloody sobs. Then again I don't think she needs my help. Neil.

If I put my GTS-T plates on the Capri can I run?. Neil.

Brake Bias Controller, Lightened Pulleys + Tail Shaft
Neil replied to justinfox's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Great debate boys,,,love it. As most people that know me know that I don't post unless I have something constructive to add. That said,,, my thinking is that he's spent a shit load of money on really high quality brakes and you would have to think also discs,,,why not go the full monty and run bias. The cars I mentioned at wakefield were NSW and VIC GTR's. If you watch them after the kink the back end of the cars are squirming around under brakes which tells me theres to much brake at the front. Adjusting more to the rear would have to help settle the car down. Duncan's combined touring car does the same thing with standard brakes and so does the car that sydneykid looked after. I have spent a lot of time standing on pit-lane watching every GTR 32,33 & 34's I can. One of my jobs is to take as much info back to Mr Handley as I can. I've even been to car/race meetings he wasn't even running in. I must admit I don't go looking at what brakes they are all running,,,but to me they all do it. Remember the primary goal of the rears is nothing more than to settle the back of the car down, which makes your turn in smoother which makes for quicker corner/exit speed. Neil. -
Brake Bias Controller, Lightened Pulleys + Tail Shaft
Neil replied to justinfox's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Sooner or later someones gunna get smarter than the rest and they'll all follow like sheep. I have noticed the GTR's at wakefield getting loose in the rear end,,,a little adjustment to the rear would fix a lot of it. I often adjust mine on the run and use different settings for different tracks. Neil. -
Yep not a problem,,,just pm me when your ready. Neil.
-
Hey Lizzy,,,notice I've uped it to a case of Crownes now,,,great rims looking for a great home. I acually would like to move them. Neil.
-
He asked first, so sorry, but he has 1st dibbs. 2 are perfect and 2 have srcatches in the middle of the rims,,they are not gutter scraped rims. All were my track rims and still have my old Dunlop D01J's fitted. Neil.
-
I have 4 x R33 GTS-T standard rims if you are interested. Lizzy was going to take them,,,but I'm thinking she doesn't need them anymore. $120.00 bucks and a case of crownes and there yours. Oh and you pick them up. Neil.

Brake Bias Controller, Lightened Pulleys + Tail Shaft
Neil replied to justinfox's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
If I was running that brake set-up I would not even think of not running brake bias. Whats wrong with spending some more money and run tilton pedals and 2 master cylinders. At least that way you won't be half guessing. You gotta love another dial to play with. I love my Bias and a big fat arse GTR needs one as well. Neil.
