  1. I've got 2860-5 now make 500hp at 21psi, come on early and pull hard. Had 2530's before, which were 1000rpm laggier but had alittle more top end. Good turbo and bang for buck, with the yen at the moment you can't go wrong with the garret range.
  2. Ring Steve at Western Australian Auto Fiannce, helping when the big banks can't lol. In regards to the loan, avoid attempting to get money from several places because it is noted on your credit file. There is no good credit rating, you just get shitter when you apply or default with credit.
  3. This might sound alittle left field, but the mentality of 2530's generally push then harder leading to the higher avg HP. With -5's been just upgrades with stock motors generally.
  4. Play it safe, go bigger. 700-800cc. I've got 800's with 370KW and are getting tight.
  5. No cat FTW, I think I've got my old one around here Gaz.
  6. GTR is the top flight car for a reason. For handling and driving ability compared to premium sport cars you can't go wrong. If you want the best go for it. I can slide all day in the 32 with flick of a key.
  7. That's it, I'd be leaning more towards 330-350HP also as generally you would expect around 250-280HP from a bog stocker, but you have to consider the age of the motors now so not many will be running in show room condition. Also HP is a strange thing so don't be to concerned, MPH is a better indicator of how things are heading.
  8. Can't go wrong with the: Apexi PowerFC D Jetro ~$1800 now with the poor yen + ~500 tune and install. Greddy PROFEC B ~$550 now with poor yen then ~150 to install, takes very little time. Button Ceramic Clutch ~700-1200 ~$300-500 install Keep it under a bar of boost will keep it safe with the ceramic rear's if it is not a VSPEC and expect 300-350hp~ safe with 12.5's~ @ 107-111mph~ which is a awesome street car. If you interested in running alittle quicker other upgrades like turbo's, injectors, fuel pump, manifolds, dumps, cams ect will be needed. You obviously can take shortcuts and push the stock turbo's harder and slap a aggressive tune but it will cost you more in the long run. Hope that helps.
  9. 350-380HP @15-18PSI, depending on the tune state.
  10. Sell the GTST and purchase a GTR is you are prepared to spend the money to repair it.
  11. Quickest is A4AM'S 12.00~. TRUST TURBO + OTHER BOLT ONS. 400~HP
  12. RIP, hope it was not the guy I meet down the drags last month
  13. Seems better than some products from Pakistan or HongKong, I'd still stick with SARD/BLITZ/HKS ect though.
  14. How big is a piece of string man?. Stroke it with t40z 20k+, minor build 5k.
  15. If thats legit power I wouldnt be complaining. 185KW with minor mods.
  16. Another run for the southern people. Meet: Harvey Norman Mandurah /corner of Gordon Road / Mandurah Road Time: 9.30pm /10pm Dep see www.clubmotavate.com then forums for details ect. Clint
  17. open your wallet and prepare to have your backside buried into the sand, the gtr reality has not kicked in yet lol.
  18. The blue bells are blue
  19. I'm not exact, but it was a TRUST TD06 all major supporting mods with EMS 8860. Ran 12.1 also.
  20. You could make 500hp but it might last 12 minutes, what you want is a reliable balance were its going to last a reasonable amount of time before letting go. AD4M over here in WA made 400~HP on one unopened and was fine for ages before letting go. So maybe 250rwkw is fairly safe with supporting mods and tune.
  21. Yeah Paul, Read that up before changing them over.
  22. Neon's were from 97
  23. Car is making a shitload more power in the lower RPM range opposed the 2530's IE 20pound at 4k opposed to 5k. My rear 2530 bearings failed so I decided to purchase the garrets because of the cheap price and also rebuild both the 2530's to new spec And they have been rebuild now and are ready to put back on but I prefer the 2860's. Clint.
  24. Extra stroke volume seems to help up the top, but the GT-RS's stroked wake up alot more than 2530's stroked. Mind you though if you ran 25pound through 2530's you expect the same sort of power as the GT-RS.
  25. I think the 2860's will run out of puff before the 2530's, which technically will make more outright and topend power. 350kw is achievable wth both. Depends what you call lag, if your happy with power around 4,500-5,000rpm you should be fine.
