  1. I think steve is right because I was told by greenline in japan that the pfc cuts ignition when boosting .25kg over the set limit.
  2. appart from the fact that if the water goes in through the air filter then it will also pass through the turbo... Dont know if thats a bad thing or not?
  3. I have a r33 gts-t and its pretty bad on fuel. I think the tank is about 65 liters and I only get 310 per tank. I am running 200rwkw and give it a squirt every now and then :-}
  4. I dont want to spend much over $50, does not have to be in VGC just has to work. I am going to use it though my alarm to call me when it is triggered.

  12. I am talking about a garrett not HKS, INASNT: you have just put on a setup like this right? What do you think of it and what was the final cost?
  13. I have started to think that if I am going to spend around $4000 on a 2535 setup then I may as well save up a bit more and go for something like a GT3035 or something alike... Does anybody out there have a setup like this? & what are your experiences with it, eg power, boost, spool up time and so on & what price range would I be looking at for this?

  15. The setup I am refering to is something like this: Garrett GT2530, fuel regulator, injectors, retune of the pfc pro, Which i though would be about 4g's after stuffing around with oil and water lines extra...
  16. I got the impression that for about $4000 I could go for the gt2530, but anything above that would require external waistgates and lots more dosh?
  17. OK, I dont really know sh*t about turbos :-} but have been reading recient posts to try to build up my Knowledge. From what i have read the GT2530 is a good responsive turbo that can make about 250rwkw. My current perf mods are: 3' turbo back zaust, zaust cam gear, cold air box with pod, FMIC, PFC Pro, ceramic button clutch, supra twin turbo fuel pump jap spec (was told that they flow better than GTR ones by far, maybe somebody can varify that?) NGK irriway7 plugs. I think thats it. I would like a turbo that doesnt lag any longer than 3,500 but still comes on boost hard. I plan to get new injectors and a z32 afm in the future but not for awhile. My car currently makes just over 200rwkw on the standard turbo, what turbo whould make a good replacment for me? any advice would be great thanks.

  19. The reason you only get the flat spot from 4500 to 5000 is because you computer adds more fuel at this point to allow for the extra boost that your factory boost soliniod is adding. This flooding effect may now have been multiplied buy that fact that your air filter is flowing better. 4500-5000 is also the point in which the variable cam shaft kicks in which from my understanding will also allow a greater flow. This prob is also caused by the ecu rev limiting but not the case for you if you have the stock boost controller. Ps, since you where mssing with the pod and stuff check to make sure that the hoses to the boost solinoid are on tight, if not then you are bleeding more boost then stock. After changing the gaps in the plugs, make sure you re-set the ecu again as every time you are experiencing this flat spot your ecu could be retarding your timing which equals loss of power. my 2 cents, hope this helps as I can remember how pi**ed off I got when I had ignition probs...
  20. You might also want to considder getting a Cold Air Box, as you engine is now sucking in all the hot air from you engine bay... But, as for the problem mentioned I whould do what GTST said, plus re-set your ECU.
  21. make sure that the tread from the back steering arm connecting to the hicas is still good. Last weekend I had the back steering arm pop out of my lock bar at 100km/h. Scary stuff :-} Is your hicas still connected?
  22. Does anybody have any pics of the front and back steering knuckles, My machanic says that mine are bent and may need to be replaced... I just dont know what they are? I have a feeling they are the cast iron type things that the wheels and steering arms connect to...
  23. which part number is the right one for the r33 gts-t, are the r33 gts-t's turbos wet or dry. You will have to excuse my lack of knowledge with turbos :-}
