  1. Just to add a comment, i have bought from them on Ebay. Very easy to deal with./ Got exactly what i asked for. Ask them the question and i would not doubt there answer. Regards R Dirty 3
  2. Just purchased a GIZZMO Shift light. Has anyone local (perth) fitted one of these to R33 GTS-T? I seem to have a problem with it somewhere and cant set it. It comes on at 4500rpm and even after following instructions it still not setting. Any advise? I think i may have stuffed up the wiring to the back of the cluster. Anyone help?? Thanks R Dirty 3
  3. I have fitted the EDFC to my R33. Easy. the top adjuster needs to be unscrewed and the motor screwed into place. Dont be rough with it. Its not hard. Front can probably be done in car, rear units will have to come out. All wiring is marked clearly and there is a nice channel under the carpet on the drivers side to lay the rear cables. Excess cable can be hidden in drivers side kick panel. plenty of room. Simple!! Regards R Dirty 3
  4. Personally i think adjustable castor rods are a great idea as long as they are of very high quality. Have a good look at them first. If they are a cheap made light item, you may be better off leaving them alone. the bushes are good. i had poly superpro in my car before i put the tein castor rods in. Regards R Dirty 3
  5. Just to throw something else in the mix for you to think about, Lovells are a fantastic spring maker, BUT i think you MAY find that Lovells spring rate is a touch softer then standard. ??? Good for looks, but drivabillity and handling may be affected in a "not so good" way perhaps. get your guy to check that out as lovells probably wont tell you the rates. Regards R Dirty 3
  6. If your in Brisbane why not talk to Fulcrum Suspension aswell?
  7. Realistically you are better to just shut up, change the wheels and get your car approved. Yes he is wrong and will probably pass you car THIS TIME...but next time?? Regards R DIrty 3
  8. pretty sure its only 1". i know i have the info at work. I will find it and direct you to the exact website location. as most govt things it is written a little cryptic which makes it open to interpretation but all us at work read it the same way. will let you know tomorrow if you want and you can rerad it and see how you take it to mean. Im not saying that im right and your wrong (yet) hahaha but thats how we understood it. WIll post details tomorrow night
  9. they should be perfectly leagal. the law states in the guidlines that wheels can be UPTO 1" wider, and 1" larger in diametre than factory wheels. i have it in writing at work. The if you went to dpi website you can get the info. Will see if i can get the site and let you know tomorrow. Seriously i reckon you could argue this one and win quite easy. Have you spoken to Reno?? MAybe also try that. Regards R Dirty 3
  10. I am from Perth. Do you guys get knocked back for "Springs to hard"? we have been getting it a bit over here lately however there is nothing in writing as to what is too hard, or too soft. so what do you do?
  11. I got Super street Aust spec to. love the EFDC. makes adjusting much more convenient for cars like mine used as street/ strip/ track etc. Regards R Dirty 3 p.s. any idea of the spring rates on the jap spec? just curious really.
  12. Whiteline are in sydney dude. Give them a call direct if you arer intereseted in their control arms. Becareful of some of the cheaper arms on the market. Quality is pretty low and i would not like to find out what would happen if they failed at 100kph on freeway. Regrds R Dirty 3
  13. I have series2 R33. I puit the whiteline adjustable arms on it. gave me what i needed and seems good quality (saw some cheap imported stuff that scared me) If to expensive. Superpro or probably even Whiteline will do camber adjustment bushes, but doubt you will gety same amount of adjustment. Regards R Dirty 3
  14. why selling them Blukie???
  15. I have 33 Gts-T. I bought the car and it had a solid 31mm bar on the front (brand unknown) Rear was standard. The car understeered BADLY! Got the whiteline adjustable and set it to medium and its so much better in handling. the car is used for local track/events and the times now are a hell of a lot better. I will adjust it to harder later to see what difference that makes but at the moment while its feeling good and other things are being done to the car, i aint going to alter it. (Dont like to change to much suspension at once). Regards R Dirty 3
  16. Dude the shocks appear to be KYB AGX Adjustable. Are they set on soft (1)? if not they will ride very firm if they are set on hard. (have them in wife's fairlane). they are easy to adjust. ajust them and see if it softens off. If it does not, then its all in the spring rates. Find another spring softer (lovells, kings etc). pretty much most aussie made springs be softer then jap spec stuff. Regards R Dirty 3
  17. Best way to shut them up from squeaking is to take them out ha ha. Use something like Super-pro or Noltec or Whiteline (I think whiteline bushes made by Superpro?) However, you can probably try to grease it up or something but the noise will reappear. Its common with Nolathane and i believe it is because their compound of PolyUrethane is to hard. Thats what i have heard. Not 100% on that part. Hope that helps a little. Regards R Dirty 3
  18. Dude if there was a mojor problem Wilkinson would have told you. I really doubt there is an issue. Sounds like alignment settings to me. The RAC job is to pick faults. They are normally mechanics, not alignment experts so i would take on board the oil leaks etc they point out, but probably not the alignment. Regards R Dirty 3
  19. Lukits, to figure out exactly what your shocks are doing at what adjustment the only way to tell accurately is to put your shocks on a "shock dyno". I can help you with that. PM if interested. Regards R Dirty 3
  20. If you want to go LED, i used a brand called VARAD. USA made i think. Quite nice and bright.
  21. Chrome finish is pretty poor. Mate has some and the chrome peeled in 2 months. Could just be a faulty batch, however they said it was not a warrant issue. So on that basis, i personally would not purchase from them. Regards R Dirty 3
  22. C-red may possibly have stuff like that.
  23. wont fit. the bar is designed to suit the car with the standard engine. Different or modified sumpif thats what is in way?? or maybe easier option can the bar be spaced down a bit?? Worse case, get custom bar made. Hope one of these options help. Regards R Dirty 3
  24. I dont even think you can get KYB Climb here in aust, car probably came from japan with them? If you want to know what they are like in valving etc, why not get them dynoed?? i know of dyno in perth and melb, I assume whiteline in syd? Regards R Dirty 3
  25. Dude check the tein super street. I run them in mine. nice ride on road, but when doing track stuff can be adjusted up by hand (or elect controller) and they handle mint. I also run whiteline adjustable bars and they make a huge diffence by themselves. Anyway, just my opinion. Regards R Dirty 3
