  1. if it was me, i'd look around here and other forums / ebay for a used one. i mean its an exhaust. not much can go wrong with them. you can pick up used stainless ones for next to nothing. another option for brand new is the x-force stainless 3 inch. fits well, sounds nice, no drone, good flow, and cheap! ive got one, turbo back. very happy with it. if you want to spend more, then go hks, etc, etc. check out deals from the forum traders on here.
  2. my alpine keeps my aerial down unless the radio is on. but i'd love to be able to go 1/2 or full mast on the aerial too. however this is a series 2 option only, and from what i understand is more complicated than just using a pot switch. i recall something about it running through the ecu, or through its own processing unit, or something of that nature.
  3. or you can leave the cannon if you like it, and replace the mid muffler with the largest oval type muffler you can fit there. it wont be very big.
  4. these will also suit RB20
  5. obviously if your spark is being blown out, ie. your coils arent up to the job, then you would gap down as most ppl do on stock (old) coils. but if there's no issue with spark blowing out at 1.1mm, THEN what is the purpose of running a smaller gap? the reason i find this perplexing, is that its been recommended by knowledgeable people.
  6. to be honest, i like changing my plugs every 10k kms. lol gives you the opportunity to check their condition, spot any warning signs, and give the whole area a once over. i'd feel weird not looking at them for 100k kms, if they infact would even last that long.
  7. ive heard that too. but i cant understand why a smaller gap is required for higher boost if you can run the bigger gap at desired boost with no missfire issues.
  8. i fitted my yellow jackets the other day. it was time for new plugs, so i swapped out my 0.8mm coppers for a new set of 1.1mm. 13psi, no missfire, at all, at 1.1mm!!! my old coilpacks had no missfire either, but needed 0.8mm to get that result. for the price, you cant go wrong. and Paul from performance-wise is a top bloke to deal with. very pleased all round. on a side note. my logic says if you can run 1.1mm without missfire, then you'll have a bigger bang, better burn, and optimal conditions. yet i have heard many people say if you are running higher than standard boost, you need to run 0.8mm, regardless. why? i just dont get it.
  9. repco, robbo's, etc etc. if you can be bothered, drive to my place and i'll give you one that i had left over from my suspension swap.
  10. you get that section of beach with the car, right? right?
  11. Standard coilpacks for sale. Ive sealed these with high temp 401 silicone. I've also cleaned the contact area where the spring is seated, and extended the springs. They worked great on 13psi with 0.8mm gapped plugs. No missfire all the way to redline. I've upgraded to aftermarket coils in preparation for the new turbo. $120 for the lot. Pick up Sydney
  12. S2 has built in ignitor, S1 doesnt. they are model specific. there's no performance difference.
  13. Yes exactly. but it doesnt result in a harsher ride. thats up to you, and how you want to set it up. the damper adjustment makes quite a difference in the tein ss. i have the rears set to almost full soft. they match the fronts now quite well, which are set to above half. when i had the fronts and rears set the same (hard-ish), you could definitely feel the imbalance. the ride is not harsh at all. its very comfortable. but at full hard front and rear, its quite a bit harsher.
  14. I have the rear suspension from my R33 Gtst for sale. They are standard shocks, in good condition, complete with bumpstops, dustboots, and tops, all intact, all in good working order. The springs are a mystery. They are lowered. They are green, as you can see, but certainly not Teins. I replaced these with Tein Super Streets, and I can honestly say that these rears are comparable, in ride and feel, to my new Teins. I was initially going to keep these rears and change the fronts only (the front shocks were stuffed), but found a good deal on a full set, so I replaced the lot. They're assembled and ready to fit. $200. Pick up. Sydney The suspension. This is how they looked on the car. Sorry about the pics, but for some reason, I have no photos from side on, apart from these. If I was selling my front bar or something, I'd have 100's
  15. Assuming these are pics of the actual coil packs. It looks like the S1 has the black mounting bracket all the way around. and the S2 does not. pics from performance-wise website. Series 1 Series 2
  16. ive just put on a set of tein super streets, but i think theyre the aus spec. i have the rears set to almost full soft, and the front set around half way. they are very comfy for coilovers, and handle easily as good as my not so comfy previous suspension. ive also heard excellent things about the greddy, but its not a hard choice. personally, for a $500 saving, i'd be going with the greddy. as far as i can tell, the greddy usually retail for around the same price, if not slightly more than the teins.
  17. yo Slim. what % tints are they? and are they practical at night?
  18. how much boost thru the 2535 before it runs out of puff?
  19. Here's mine. The day he helped me install the new cat. ahhh that crazy Michael. I can't believe he wore his white suit.
  20. We were asking skylinecouple which type of Cooling Pro core he replaced with the HDI. Also, contact performance-wise (Paul) from these forums about the HDi core. He can beat that price by quite a bit.
  21. your group buy thread has disappeared. Whats happened? Is performance-wise still the guys to deal with for these?
  22. yeah, please post pics, as i will not be in Adelaide EVER!!!! and would also like to purchase a fine hoodie
  23. when i got my car, it had one to the right of the coin slots in the centre console. i took it out though. as if i want that thing staring straight at a cop. it was bright red too lol.
