  1. the flutter will be louder, thats normal. its just the alloy pipes amplifying the sound. the wrx exhaust note isnt so normal though. did you feel a lack of power? all i can think of is a bad spark, which everyone knows, makes the car sound like that. the air charge will (hopefully) be colder now, and your boost may have raised a bit, as a result of the fmic. these are all good things. but if you have a weak coil, or weak plugs, the problem will show now.
  2. yeah its no problem at all that plug going to the solenoid will continue to get a signal, but it has no bearing on anything.
  3. you can remove it. it will have no effect if it's not connected
  4. hahaha really? he tried to sell them all in one place? man thats some brilliance right there
  5. lol i paid a few days ago, so you should have it by now adrian. you'll have a PM with those details too
  6. dude, it's challenging you !!!
  7. i'm running 12.5. easy obviously its not gonna be very accurate with only 2 inputs. guilt toy. what did it spit out for you, compared to your actual time?
  8. You dont need to worry about age till they're about 5-6 years old. 2 years isnt a big issue. As for getting hard and dry after their initial use, once you get them back on the road, they'll heat and soften again. the most important thing is that there is good tread on them, and no cracks etc.
  9. how about those guys that drive whatever sick car they have, with the seat reclined so far back, all you can see is their eyebrows bobbing around just above the dash as they are heading towards you. now thats a concern.
  10. i thought i should finally update this thread question: How Important Is A Tune After Front Mount Install? answer: very important!!! had the tune done a while ago now. dyno showed gains of around 15-20kw at same boost. but more importantly, the proof is in the driving. and there are certainly benefits throughout the range. if you're upgrading to a fmic, get it tuned, eventually thanks nismoid and a few others for the good advice
  11. lol @ chopper with the ford transit
  12. try it. just replace that restricted hose with a regular silicone hose. see what happens. who knows, i might be wrong. but i'm fairly sure max boost wont change while youre using the stock solenoid. btw this is for R33. i'm not familiar with the r32 and gtr setup.
  13. no it wont overboost, the solenoid controls that it just makes the boost more linear, rather than surging. if you think about it, a boost jet, which is a restrictor, placed in that line will hide some of the pressure from the wastegate, and allow the wastegate to stay closed longer, therefore reaching higher boost. so removing this restrictor wont increase your boost. edit: this is all useless with the stock boost solenoid, because that controls the boost in the end.
  14. yep, that one is the factory boost restrictor. why do you want to remove it? it wont get you higher boost. its there to regulate the pressure, so you dont get spikes. if you were to replace that restrictor with a more restrictive one, that would get you higher boost. ppl call them boost jets. if you're running a boost controller, then you should remove it, otherwise leave it.
  15. looks like youre on the wrong side of the engine bay for boost restrictors. thats the pressure feed to your fuel pressure regulator that you're touching.
  16. I too was thinking JJ need a couple of big angry dogs. But then i had this image of my next purchase coming with complimentary chew marks. i wonder how many scumbags were involved at the actual robbery. i'm guessing quite a few. its good to know thieves are dumb.
  17. i have watched stig's lap, and jeremy's neck-breaker 10 times now. lol thats the most impressive the R35 has looked...to me...on video it means you took a dump. but hey...we all celebrate differently
  18. there's no easy way take the mounting bolts out of the washer tank, and move it as far to the side as you can. grab a pair of long nose pliers ( i think i used angled ones) and get ready to strip some skin off your hand. you can reach the bulb holder with the pliers and twist and pull it out. it takes a while, but saves you taking out the fuse box and overflow tank.
  19. If theyre a normal fit, i would guess a Medium. So i'll go with that. PM sent re: postage hoodie/jacket: Jacket username/real name: none name in caps or not: none colour: Black size: Medium how many: 1
  20. can someone clear this up for me? is Chest measured from armpit to armpit? and wtf is CB Length? how much extra for postage to sydney?
  21. sorry to hear steve. as with us all, any info or suspicions will be passed on to you. this is a huge robbery. seemingly well planned. and yet they stole soft drink and change? it makes no sense. i mean they actually stripped parts from the R35, and then ran to the lolly box to grab coins? you would have to assume there were alot of them in there for this kind of thing to be going on.
  22. i'm pretty sure thats only connected on the autos. mine isnt connected either. never has been.
  23. looks good i'm assuming its no problem if you dont want a username on there. what is the quality of the hoodie like?
  24. hahaha you can drag your car across the screen and watch the wheels roll cool
  25. man ive got one.... its such a cool phone... JUST OPEN IT !!!!
