  1. Hi, I am selling an Apexi Power Intake Pod Filter and Adapter for all RB25DET engines. This comes with the adapter that bolts straight up to the RB25DET Air Flow Meter. Apexi Part Number: 500-A022 $50 Located in Melbourne. Happy to Post Jeff 0400648813
  2. Are you asking is there a better turbo to use or do you already have a GT35 with 0.63 rear and want to know if it will work well? Better turbo would be a GT3076 with 0.82 housing. Yes the GT35 with 0.63 will still do good things.
  3. Only with 4,000rpm+, 3500rpm launch is great, light wheelspin and your outta here. Anything below 3500rpm launch and it holds traction till the end of 1st (warm tyres) and a brief spin into second with a firm change and then traction city from there on. I think its great. I just dont see how an extra 100rwkw can be launched hard on street tyres.
  4. Brand new bilsteins, king springs, pineapples, lower control arms, upper control arms. Launches and spins wheels smoothly. I have quite a grippy clutch so maybe thats contributing a bit as it doesnt allow me to slip it much??
  5. I have only ever had the car with 275 KU36s so I cant comment on how much better they are with different tyres. It holds first on mine when they are heated up, I am only saying with a 4,000rpm launch they spin too much for a good 0-100 time. Yeah the Nismo diff and Nitto tyres will obviously help a lot but I still struggle to comprehend them holding a 4,000rpm launch with 285rwkw. Joey please dont take this as an attack as I am new to skylines but its hard to comprehend for me. Would love to see it though
  6. I think the highlight here is "provided they don't lose traction". Personally, I dont understand how Joeyjoejoe can get traction in 1st gear with 285rwkw with a gentle takeoff and then full throttle, I simply cant believe he can launch hard without traction problems on street tyres. I have 190rwkw with 275 wide new Kumho KU36 tyres and if I launch with anymore than 3,500rpm its too much wheelspin (yes slipping the clutch so controlled launch). This is compared to the R35 that I understand can launch as hard as you want with full traction. I cannot comment on R32/33/34 GTRs as i have no experience with them. This is why I am not going to bother fitting a larger turbo to mine, instead will upgrade to a GTR/EVO first.
  7. Tune boost and power all have some part to play in the reliability of an RB25. Tune is the most important. Turbo size does matter but I still wouldnt want to run much more than 20psi even if you have a small turbo.
  8. Also: Injectors 500cc+ Z32 AFM Upgraded Clutch I would be surprised if you had it all up and tuned for 6-7k unless you can do a lot of work yourself.
  9. Only problem is an R34 GTR is still 40k+. You could get an R33 GTR for 25-30k but I like the R34 shape
  10. How will launching with more revs make it slower?? Driving an automatic (normally with a hi stall converter) that is how you launch. You use all the braking you can use while bringing the revs up as high as possible while not moving, then LAUNCH! Although the brake pump just seems to trick the ecu to allow the revs to rise to launch.
  11. I have the same as you except I still have the stock dump pipe. I made 190rwkw with the boost dropping down to ~9psi at redline. Car feels very strong, especially the mid range. Overall I am very happy, I have even decided not to go the next step of bigger turbo etc because it feels great on the road. I am not really into 1/4 mile racing etc, just want a quick streeter. Car is super smooth. You should make very close to 200rwkw.
  12. Its not the stock dump pipe. Maybe dodgy cat? Dyno would be helpful.
  13. Cant really answer that, but I know there are lots of happy customers. Mine was tuned by Sam @ Dr Drift, he charged me around $800 for the nistune installed and tuned. I am very happy with the tune and if your on the west side as per your location field he will be very close.
  14. Cool, as said above just get the tuner to do what he can with the current fuel system and afm. That will keep you happy for a while then see if you want more later. Only thing is if you do it all at once, you only need to get one tune. but if you dont have the cash, you dont have the cash.
  15. From Post #7 by Status: "R34's love a decent tune as they drop torque and power off in the mid range like nothing else, it gets worse the more boost you put in, its a safety measure." The FMIC has pushed you over the airflow settings allowed by the stock ecu (search rich and retard). Therefore the more boost you put in the worse it will be. Forget the walbro fuel pump, spend the money on a TUNE!!!!!!!
  16. What are the specs of the hiflow turbo? Is it a GCG one? As said above, the stock fuel injectors will max out around 220-230rwkw. Do you want more than that? If so, yes get some larger injectors and a Z32 afm. If you are happy with 220rwkw then you should be fine as is. Most hiflows I know of will make more than 220rwkw. The other way (bit dodgy) is to get a nismo fuel pressure reg to increase the fuel pressure to get more out of the stock injectors, but I wouldnt recommend that because you will still need a z32 afm anyway. How upset would you be if your tuner says I could only tune on 12psi but the turbo is happy to make more? The answer to that is the answer to your problem. Remember 12psi untuned will be very different to 12psi tuned.
  17. It was supposed to be sarcastic! Guess I used the wrong pics haha
  18. I once got speed estimated at 101km/h in an 80 zone, from a car hundreds of metres behind me. I know this because I could see there was noone behind me and once they turned their lights on I could see far back they were. Plus I had just gone through a roundabout so they couldnt even see me line of sight. I couldnt be bothered taking it to court and paying for a solicitor as I wasnt losing my license. I thought 101km/h was a joke, 71.35 is just ridiculous!
  19. Are you telling me that more boost is not better?!?! A car with 15psi will always beat a car with 10psi...
