  1. Yeah in a straight line the R32 GTR will beat the R35 GTR but not on the track. At sandown a multitude of quick cars had a go at an R35 GTR including big hp R32 and R33 GTR's and they were no match for the R35 GTR.
  2. I dont quite get what everyone is saying about an R35 GTR not being 'special'. I reckon it has a massive awe around it. See one on the street and it demands respect. The guy that fit my immobiliser has one and i couldnt pick my jaw up off the ground. He has had many big hp cars and says none of them come close to the experience of the GTR full tilt on a track. Surely having the option to the latest technology as well as the raw drive is the ultimate. If the R35 GTR doesnt impress you then I would like to know what other cars do. Nice Porsche BTW!
  3. yeah interesting, it would be to get emissions as low as possible. the quicker the cat heats up the quicker it is doing its job. part of the emission testing they do is a cold start.
  4. I am fairly new to skylines but with commodores you could change the injectors within about 5 mins. I once just changed them in the tuners car park. What sort of job is it on an RB25? I like the afm idea.
  5. Thats sweet then! I will prob do the same one day as I would love to keep the exterior of my turbo 100% standard. Keen to see what power you can get out of it!
  6. The other side to the argument is if you just have basic mods, mines and places can spend a lot of time on the tune and they will test it on many cars. This is compared to a tuner spending a few hours on it and depending on quality of tuner whether he can be bothered. I agree a good tuner doing a custom tune is better although I would prefer a mines ecu over a quick custom tune from a lazy tuner.
  7. Sounds good but what is the cost difference between an OP6 and a 0.82 housing? Seeing as though the OP6 housing has to be purchased anyway as he has an R33. The only reason I would stay with the standard type hi-flow is to stay legal ie look completely standard from the outside. Once thats changed by using an OP6 housing, I reckon go all the way with the 0.82!
  8. as above just drive it there stock and fit them once you get to the tuners. on the subject of turbo, why not go the Hypergear Powered Up "PU" hi flow. You are already purchasing an R34 OP6 housing anyway so you may as well get a 0.82 housing. They have a dyno of one making 269rwkw and 272rwkw on an R33. The R34 OP6 housing looks to make more around 250rwkw.
  9. Ok just seeing if I understand this correctly: - Standard High Flow R34 470hp, exterior is completely standard - PU High Flow R33/34 500hp, exterior is completely standard - ATR43G3: 520HP in .63 Rear, aftermarket turbo, so exterior is NOT standard - ATR43G4: 600HP in .84 rear, aftermarket turbo, so exterior is NOT standard - GT3076 spec turbo in .82 turbine housing, aftermarket turbo, so exterior is NOT standard Is that right?
  10. I just read this part "3 inch exhaust split into dual exhaust with 5 inch tips" HAHAHAHAHAHA
  11. Exactly, 555cc injectors and a GT42 do not match. A GT42 on a stock RB25 would be sooo laggy its not funny. A GT30 can make 300rwkw and a GT35R can make 350-380rwkw so either one of those would be a LOT better. Plus get some bigger injectors if you are looking for power figures like this.
  12. hahaha yeah. its a great cooler, if noone buys it I will keep it if I decide to go further with mods. i have decided to do a tune before a cooler and leave it at that for while. so i thought if i can sell the cooler easily i will, then if i need one say next year i will buy another one. Guy on this forum is making 310rwkw through this cooler. Spoke to Sam at Dr Drift and he said this cooler is one of the best performers on his dyno.
  13. Hi Guys, I purchased this cooler (below) two weeks ago off a member off this forum. Unfortunately, financial circumstances have forced me to sell it. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Tr...co-t302877.html It is a Trust Return Flow Intercooler suited to RB25DET Neo either R34 or Stagea. It has been pressure tested. and painted black by a radiator repair shop. It has sat in my shed with both end tanks sealed. I have sprayed both pipes black instead of the blue it is in the other pics. It connects up to the stock piping. http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv348/TRJ86/DSC09829.jpg http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv348/TRJ86/DSC09828.jpg http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv348/TRJ86/DSC09827.jpg More pictures in the link above. 14. Spoke to Sam at Dr Drift and he said this cooler is one of the best performers on his dyno! If you go through the link there is a member of this forum making 310rwkw with one. Also, there is a member on this forum using it on an R33 gts-t.

  16. R34 GT-T RB25DET Neo Fujitsubo Turbo back exhaust Apexi Pod Filter i think stock boost 7-8psi, was a dyno day so dyno operator didnt get time to get boost reading. Standard ecu, turbo, smic BP Ultimate 167.1rwkw
  17. If you are talking about the cooler in the photo, that would be a 'return' flow intercooler Thanks for the info! I am really fussy and dont have to install the cooler, so I will be putting it up for sale.
  18. Ah ok subtle but important difference. That makes sense now.
  19. This design does not have a pipe along the bottom: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Tr...ust+return+flow I am wondering if anyone has fitted this particular type of cooler, but its not sounding good. I dont have any equipment to cut it even if I decided to.
  20. I am not talking about the cutting for new intercooler piping, I am talking about cutting just to fit the physical cooler in. If you look at the thread in the FAQ, he has a return flow intercooler and yet still has to cut both the reo and the bumper to fit it (although it is a different size cooler and different way of running the pipes back to the standard intercooler piping).
  21. Hi, I purchased a Trust Return Flow FMIC off a member on this forum and was about to start fitting it up this weekend. Just started reading through the thread in the FAQ section and it mentions cutting the reo and bumper bar (although it is a different style of return flow intercooler). http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/In...Fm-t288799.html Also the one in the thread has a slightly larger cooler: 620 x 266 x 76mm Where as this one is (Trust FMIC Return Flow): 520mm x 250mm x 70mm Also it doesnt have the pipe running along the bottom of the cooler like the one in the thread does. Has anyone fitted a Trust FMIC Return Flow? Did you have to cut anything? Any help much appreciated as it will save my many hours of work as I really dont want to cut anything. Thanks.
  22. I am new to skylines, how do I read the error codes? I have put the car into diagnostic mode by shorting those two pins to test the o2 sensor (which was fine). Is it related to that?
  23. As said previously, if you are just worried about straight line launches then I would leave the factory suspension. I get quite a lot of wheel spin on launches with coilovers with a lightly modded GT-T. They are too stiff for launches as they dont get enough squat. Coilovers are more for cornering and/or lowering your car. No disrespect intended but are you having traction problems now with the N/A RB25?
