  1. My advice would be to make sure you dont get ridiculously stiff coilovers. The car I bought came with them and its only good when the roads are super smooth. If they are not you get axle tramp on acceleration as the tyre bounces over the bumps. I would seriously consider leaving the stock suspension if its mainly a street/drag car.
  2. didnt you have a high mount manifold for the GT35?
  3. No offense intended but it just seems strange that you would just get rid of your old setup which had a fair bit of cash behind it and then purchase an expensive replacement turbo but not want to spend some cash on a good manifold. What do you want from this setup really. Obviously you dont want to just hit 300rwkw peak power cause you had that with your old setup. You can hit 300rwkw with a GT3076 on a stock manifold but surely you would want the best possible setup. Especially with a 0.82 rear.
  4. Good point, I forgot about the actuator. The hypergear hiflow i believe comes with a 14psi actuator so you definitely couldnt use that.
  5. Yeah just run the same boost on the high flowed turbo. That should make 200-210rwkw, that should be fine on the standard ecu. Then once you get some cash: injectors, fuel pump, nistune and clutch Or you could just buy another stock turbo.
  6. The turbotech boost tee which is used widely on this forum has great performance. Everyone I speak to recommends it. The only advantages to an electronic boost controller that I know of is that you can have multiple boost settings and you can get it to build boost faster (my old eboost could).
  7. The 80% is not a hard and fast rule. Its just a guide when you are sizing injectors. That way it gives you a bit of room if you underestimate your requirements.
  8. Mate I think you should go have a read on how fuel systems work before you hand out advice. 80% duty cycle is preferred and its well documented why, fuel pressure regs do increase/decrease fuel pressure depending on the vacuum/boost in the manifold.
  9. And we have a winner! This is the answer to the thread!! Thanks Rob82!
  10. Thats what this whole thread is about. You can buy that turbo off the shelf as in the link in the first post. No need to get it made up.
  11. Can you send me a link to this? I can only find the one that bolts to the stock nissan dump pipe on the tweakit site.
  12. Not for sale any longer guys, I ended up fitting it. Works very well
  13. Thanks for the info! Any idea what duty cycle they were running at on the two different power levels?
  14. Hahaha no prob, I thought you were saying why is my car not boosting to 3 bar hahaha
  15. will this fit an rb25det neo from an R34 GTT?
  16. Great to hear, this is what I want to hear. I didnt know the size of standard injectors, thanks for that. Mine makes 190rwkw on standard injectors I am trying to call on your experience and knowledge to better understand this. There just seems to be a wide range of power figures being tossed around on here, from 260rwkw to 340rwkw. I thought the idea was to share information to make sure people do things once and do it right. Unfortunately on the neo engine the injector range is quite limited so I dont have the luxury of just getting oversized injectors and being done with it. Also, I would love the option to have some space to run E85 one day.
  17. That equates to 261rwkw. Yes there is more to gain from raising the afrs up to 12 but I doubt it would get to 300rwkw, plus the injectors are already running at 85% duty cycle.
  18. Here is a great example, another 8% of injector duty comes up to 270rwkw. Still a lot short of 300rwkw and especially 340rwkw as you mentioned R31Nismoid.
  19. No we are talking about fuel pressure here. You are talking about air pressure. Base fuel pressure is measured at zero vacuum (0 on your boost guage, can be tested by disconnecting a vacuum hose).
  20. What does the 0.82 housing look like? Is it similar to the standard nissan one? Or is it obvious its aftermarket? Will the standard heat shield still fit on?
  21. Thanks fellers so the nismo reg is the missing piece! Cheers!
  22. So your going to put a new manifold on without finding the issue? Whats to say that will solve it?
