  1. why would a car's boost level change over time? if boost pressure is governed by the actuator which takes a reading off the plenum then this should be constant. given the vacuum and actuator lines don't have any cracks or leaks...
  2. wheres it coming from? how much is leaking?
  3. heres a nice looking black 33 from perth - sorry i dont have a bigger picture wheels are 19" ROH's
  4. careful with going too shitty though - some have caused serious engine damage because of inaccurate boost pressure readings.
  5. and 8psi is standard boost pressure so i would also guess with an exhaust youll be around the 9-10psi mark if zanda is only making 5psi id be looking at vacuum and actuator lines for leaks cos thats below-normal
  6. compression test can be done anywhere and wouldnt cost more than $30-$50
  7. can anyone comment on how effective this modification is?
  8. ive also heard of people using large washers on the bonnet screws to lift the rear of the bonnet up a few cm's allowing the rear cylinders to cool and it would only cost $1 at bunnings to do
  9. thank god joe has sold his skyline anyway, this really is whoring any dates set for the first meeting - that way we can actually discuss the previously mentioned issues before going ahead its not paranoid cam, this is something which has to be thought through before jumping on the bandwagon.
  10. cool put me down for 1x black one then cheers
  11. for some reason my car come over (modified) and with two fuel pressure regs. one at the back and one at the front
  12. my mate runs greenline and ive never heard a bad word spoken about him or the service they provide
  13. my pm wasnt bad but it wasnt good either
  14. paul; exactly i think its a great idea for SST and per4manz to sponsor the organisation of a club, but there are issues to be dealt with before we launch into it
  15. im not trying to bitch just provide the other side of the argument. this is a big move to make and its important that we include everyone who is a part of SAU otherwise we may spoil a good thing. im not really a fan of the president and committe thing though, although understand that it may be essential also... by making someone 'in charge' of SAU goes against the main premise upon which SAU was first established. basically i dont agree with the hierarchy thing - can this be avoided? or do we need a club president, board etc etc
  16. this is EXACTLY what we should be avoiding by getting caught up with politics we forget what this club is all about. soon someone will be elected president, then the bitching will start and well forget that one day there was just a group of guys/girls with a common interest who enjoyed the odd cruise, meet, mc day etc
  17. if everyone has equal votes, then why does it seem like you're running this show?
  18. it may not officially be a part of SAUWA but as everyone knows, this is where it all began. and unofficially it will always be the roots of any official organisation or club that we establish. as i said before, money is power. and where there are disproportionate financial influences then not everyone will have an equal say (i am not a communist)
  19. personally i would prefer the club to be financially supported by the individual members. that way we all have equal say and input into a club we have all contributed to in a way... i have read the other thread and it appears that individual financial backing isnt going to happen, so if we are to form a club it may need sponsorship. No offence to anyone, but as many have previously expressed there shouldnt be a self-elected hierarchy. however it makes it hard to avoid when an individual or small group has put money into the creation of the club. already the president and board thing is getting messy and with an individual sponsor there will always be bias. for example i believe that all moderators are worth candidates, i know we've mentioned troy but joe (despite his sometimes 'interesting' speeches ) would make a good president or board member. we dont need a public speaker to be in charge, and we certainly dont want a power-hungry admin team who will spoil the experience for others. no doubt the best intentions will carry throughout the proceedings but it seems to me that SAU is about to transform into an even bitchier, more politically biased 'club'.
  20. for a power run, put it in 3rd or 4th and floor it
  21. yes it would work but so would pitting pin-prick holes in your actuator line i personally wouldnt do it, but hey. if you cant afford a bleed valve
