  1. hey all i have these for sale, prices are negotiable but keep it reasonable. will also swap these for a good condition rb25det engine with gearbox and cash adjustment ur way if the engine/box is good enough (engine doesnt need turbo/manifold, ecu or injectors) reason for selling is that i got these for my mate but he now doesnt want them so i need to get rid of them and get some money back. details are: brand new Garrett GT3076r 500hp turbo still in box opened to inspect/take photos core number is 700382-5012 compressor housing is .60A/R turbine housing is .82A/R internal wastegate, no actuator supplied. looking for $1500ono SOLD!!!!! brand new Tial 38mm external wastegate still in box opened to inspect/take photos comes with gaskets, bolts, washers, instructions looking for $350ono if u want anymore info etc pm me, reply or give me a call on 0422258117 cheers brad
  2. hey mate think i saw u driving this around parramatta the other day, looks/sounds pretty good and well looked after, how much power u making?
  3. jnr32r: its an rb20 bottom end, had it running and done a bit of road tuning, feels really good and im only on 10psi, had a squirt of 15psi with low 11:1 high 10:1 air/fuel ratios and full boost hit at about 3800-4000rpm, off boost drivability is improved with the CPC short runner plenum although is still a little doughy because of 3.45:1 geared VL LSD happy with it so far
  4. roy mate i will be using the gt30r, the one with those specs which is the same core specs as the hks3037s should be starting it tomorrow, need to tune it roughly and drivable, then off to JEM for the fine tune i have: autronic ecu 550cc rx7 series 5 injectors 044 pump CPC plenum port polished head/manifold 1mm oversized valves hks valve springs gt30r 38mm tial wastegate hopefully i should get around the 240-260rwkw mark
  5. with the e11v2 u can temperely fix this by adjusting the full wide open throttle map, so when WOT is reached these values override the base map. other than that u should put exhaust temp probes on each exhaust runner to determine which is leaning, if u find that an individual cylinder is leaning then i would look to the plenum.
  6. http://www.enginemanagement.com.au/maps.php try this website there is an rb20 base map for the ems 4424v2, u could always use an rb25 map as it should get it started due to being similar -trigger type is actually optical -360 teeth in the cas one slightly larger to reference no.1 cylinder tdc, 5 medium sized cutouts for other cylinders -not to sure about the missing tooth setup sorry, might be related to the larger tooth cutout -go wideband lambda, its got quicker reaction times/more precise -yes 3 igniters, this will make it a wasted spark system, i think u need extra drivers/igniters to run seqential ignition/factory coils -get a multimeter and measure resistance/ohms across the 2 pins on ur gtr injectors, the high impedence so should be around the 12-13 ohms mark
  7. go to the haltech support forum u should find one there, or get one of someone
  8. straight off the compressor housing or the piping if u dont want to tap the housing, u just need to get a positive pressure feed, best to keep a short path to the solenoid, also best to not tap off other lines keep the solenoid line individual
  9. try a gt30r from slide, has the same core as an hks 3037s, i got one on my rb20 havent driven it yet so cant tell ya spool up, fulboost should be around the 4000rpm mark but would be different on ur rb24 roy has also seen good results from his td06
  10. mate u need to make a bracket its easy, get a 3-4mm thick piece of metal about 20mm wide and about 120mm long measure the distance and mark the holes where needed, use a 5 or 6mm drill bit for the mounting holes and a 14mm drill bit for the centre hole then bolt it on and measure the resistance at open and closed and adjust, connect it up and check voltage at open and closed. those measurements are off the top of my head dont quote em drill bits are right
  11. sort of, u need to measure the clearance between the cam and lifter first then remove the covers/cams/belt/lifters, do a few measurements and calculations and refer to the workshop manual, get the desired shim to close the gap all but leaving a small clearance for heat expansion etc
  12. fob2nv - i got mine tuned by scott at insight, full tune required a base map which he done, i paid $500 all up! he knows his stuff and doesnt mind spending some extra time for free scott also help/taught me how to change my trigger disk in my CAS for the autronic and didnt charge me, i would highly recommend him
  13. nar not yet i should see if the bloke that i sold it to has witnessed it yet i can give u a dyno sheet that shows how poor the boost is held scott from insight in sydney who tuned my car said it is because of mismatched housings/wheel selection
  14. nar mate im pretty sure 9.15mm will be pretty close to the head, but wont need modification, u will definatly need to grind out the head for 10mm lift!
  15. u can get a VL fuel pressure regulator and find a socket the same size as the top where the vac fitting is and compress it slightly in a vice, doing this will bump the pressure up a bit
  16. i have done the gtr cam upgrade, matched with solid lifter conversion and HKS gtr valve springs, u do loose a little in down low torque but gain in midrange and top end, but it does depend on ur turbo blah blah, i have cam gears to 2 deg retard on exhaust 1 deg advance on the inlet. im looking to fit rb26 poncams 260 duration 9.15mm lift intake and exhaust
  17. no different port designs u should be able find aftermarket manifolds for the rb20 CPC makes nice plenums heres a link: http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/showthread.php?t=46459
  18. mate u will find that its a miss matched compressor/compressor wheel, i had the same thing with a gcg hiflow of an rb20 turbo which uses the same internals as the rb25/vg30 gcg highflow, i used to get to 5psi then off/on throttle then it would go to 10psi etc, bov would vent too even when turned hard as it could i should of know better then to hiflow an rb20 turbo, oh well lesson learnt!
  19. go to supercheap auto or pep's, its about $30 for the manual
  20. i have one, its ok besides it didnt line up nicely so i had to die grind the holes out a bit, paul from VPW told me a few ppl have had the same problem but he hasnt had any return for any other reason. mines a highmount and i braced it to the block to resist cracking from extra weight as i will be running a gt30r. i havent run the engine yet so i dont know how it will hold up!
