  1. Yes.... I am a clown...
  2. The fastest i could enter turn one was 120-115 due to street tyres not liking it... So Jason had faster lap times then me due to his cornering speed...
  3. Ummmm Photoshop for christmas!!! Let the chop start... Sorry poor guy with the siliva...
  4. I love the pic of the guy walking away from the silvia when he got bogged in the kitty litter... I see some major photo shopping on that pic...
  5. Front straight was up to about 175 touching 180kph... Hard to say cause i was experiencing some major braking issues so i was backing off way before everyone else... Mind you i still have not put the GT30 on yet either... I drove the car very hard, i got every bit i could out of her...
  6. Very nice photos there... I really like that wide angle from the very start of the day as we all lined up side by side at the gate... Very nice... I even honked my horn at you right before i did my 140kph drift... I was hoping that was indercation enough I was about to do something silly...
  7. Do you have a gallery of all the photos at all? I would like as many as possible...
  8. Arhhh you were No.1 Nice GTR... I saw you pulling your exhaust out and replacing it with a side pipe... It was loud from the tower... Your GTR and that M3 were the 2 loudest cars by a long way...
  9. Im already thinking about the november day... I cannot wait till i can unleash the yellow beast... My top speed down the back straight was 224kph in 5th. My top speed in 4th was 198kph bouncing off the rev limiter. But my brakes were crap and my street tyres would not let me turn without drifting. So next time ill have bigger brakes and hopefully semi slicks... Oh and a bigger turbo of course... Pear, Franky you dont need an instructor. Just sit down with the map of the track and figure out what enrties and exits you should take and then go around at your own pace. Follow the car in front of you into the corner and match their entry/exit lines. You cannot go wrong really... It was not until i caught an MX5 did i realise i was going about it the wrong way. He had a far more fluent way of entry and exit and used less brakes and was not a hard as i was.
  10. Ummmm... Ok Im not sure if this is a topic for the classifieds or not, im a little confused as to if this topic would even be read by an international student??? I guess Ill juist let it go as im a little baffled about the topic but carry on...
  11. Cool thanks Paul... I can't wait til the next one, ill be sitting on the edge of my seat for the time results and photos? Im good to help out again as i had a ball for both the morning and afternoon session... Hopefully we can get a few more SAU members/users out for the next session...
  12. Um about those pics, did some digging www.fulllockphotos.com im guessing Paul???
  13. Pffftttt Offline you missed my 140kph drift into the first corner... Thank you Jason, I do like that one... Hey Paul, who was the person who was driving the yellow S15 and taking all the photo's??? Where and when will we be able to see these photos...? Also nice to meet you "nate79" and was great to see "pear" and "rhinorebal" come out and support SAU... Thanks to "rhinorebal" for the extra tag on my windscreen...
  14. Wish i had 4wd... Thats awsome Peter, which 33 was yours... So many people there yesterday i got so confused i even missed Azzurra once yesterday, passing him off as some smuck...
  15. Awsome Day Paul... Thanks allot to the guys who took some photos... I hope the official photographer (driving the yellow S15) got a shot of my 140kph drift... I did it just for him... I had an absolute ball. Apart from loosing my brakes and boiling my power steering fluid, i have now got 3 new noises to chase on the weekend. Lucky me. I did however get some good drifting practice in and i spanked a number of mx5's and one AE86... Very happy, need to upgrade a few bits before trying again tho. You dont need 300+ rwkw but you do need sticky tyres and good brake fluid, just ask Jason. Thanks again for the pictures guys hope to see a few more in the next coupke of days...
  16. Col sings "lazy sunday afternoon, i gotta no lines to worry... Close my eyes and drift away..."

  18. Emerald is quite some way from the big smoke... But Ska is up that way and would love to spot you driving around. He gets all excited when he sees a skyline cause there is not much up there... Other than dust and heat...
  19. If it rains Jason, Just go soft round the out side of the corners... Ill be there rain, hail or shine... Bring on the dry track tho, make me go harder...
  20. Awsome Dave... Love your work, hope to see her at jamboree...
  21. Peter Brock and Dick Johnson were heros to me when i was a child. My first car was an LJ Torana, Just like Brock's, ive still got a poster with a young Peter walking away from his beautiful XU1 with long hair and all... RIP Brock'y was a pleasure to meet the man and share a ride around QLD Raceway 3 years ago. Enought from me... Cruise, i would prefer to sit back and have a BBQ and a beer and watch Bathurst this year. I think this years bathurst will be a special day. Ill be waking up early for bacon and eggs and I be planted in front of the tv all day with a esky close by and ill be thinking of him. My childhood hero.
