  1. Besides tax and death, there are some other unavoidable truths in life. 1. Some people will *always* disagree with you. You can't post publically on the internet and expect no arguments or disagreements. Sometimes it sucks but you can always take something from it. Don't listen to those who are flaming for flames sake, listen to those who provide constructive feedback. Its important to be able to distinguish the two. 2. No matter what Skyline you buy, you'll get lovers and haters. With those in mind, I'd give the bird ?to the haters and do what you want with it. But, just remember that you asked for feedback and feedback is what you got.
  2. Theres a lot of liability on insurers to ensure they can fix to a standard. If you crashed or somebody was killed due to a poorly executed repair then they are in a lot of trouble. Interesting conundrum though. If you can get them to make it a repairable write off, you could buy it back to repair. Not sure its worth it though, can you import another one?
  3. Does this have bluetooth audio as well as calls?
  4. Can you guys let me know if you notice any changes.
  5. Keep in mind that every market for every car has its own specs. I'd be very surprised if Japan did not have a GT Spec R and I'm actually pretty sure I've seen JDM Spec R's with GT badges. Remember that R32, R33, R34 all had GT badges and were all JDM models. Hopefully somebody else can clarify further though.
  6. As already stated, just drive it and enjoy it. Its going to be very slow, but thats fine as you're on your P's still. Use any money you'd modify with to put aside for a Gtst (or GTR) when you can afford it. And, welcome!
  7. Well done! The two tone looks pretty good, are you going to keep it?
  8. Just made some small changes, let me know if it has helped at all. Thanks, Christian
  9. The clubs may still have the 'skylines australia' lanyards. I'm looking into my options when it comes to more merch (hoodies and caps etc).
  10. Thanks for that, sorry I couldn't give it more time. I'll look into the image resizing issues. We cache the images quite aggressively now so might be cached somewhere. C
  11. Been pretty busy mate will have another look tonight.
  12. I've closed your other 2 topics. Please don't open multiple topics for the same question.
  13. Hi @foxjp and Welcome to What car do you have at the moment?
  14. It really depends on the wash you use and the environment. Every few months I'd say for most people. With it on, you can just wipe the wheel off without needing to apply a wash to it.
  15. What was the image of? I'll have a look for it.
  16. It looks great, well done! You've got some epic patience!
  17. Wow! They probably have no provisions for repair. It'd only be an assembly line.
  18. I agree. Even if it only lasts a few years, $200 every now and then aint a deal breaker imo.
  19. Any pics of the unit or install?
  20. The rotors looked shit when I took them off as well as cheaper pads. I've seen more than one sign that the previous owner like to save pennies. No idea how old that fluid was. Considering the car has only just clicked over 60ks I could very well be dealing with factory fitted disk's and fluid. Tyres are Bridgestone rft's on the front. Good enough. Good pads and rotors are all this car needed. I like slowing down more than speeding up atm.
  21. So today I did the brakes. Ever since I got the car I was a little underwhelmed by the brakes and they are usually known as being really good. Also lately I've started getting a horrible shake in the steering wheel and brake pedal when showing from over 70ish. I also bought myself a pressure bleeder. I've had so many issues in the past with shit bleeding and the Bora had weird brakes that made bleeding difficult. I decided that rather than being afraid of bleeding how about I get the right tool. Holy shit. It almost makes bleeding fun. Fill it with fluid, attach it to the resovoir, pump it up to 15psi and just bleed. So I flushed all the fluid in it with some nulon fluid. The old stuff didn't look too bad but I had no idea how long it was there. I also put new DBA T2 rotors and Bendix Ultimates. I've left the rear for the moment the rotors and pads looked fine when I bled them. Unlike the fronts that were lipped and scored and likely had some kind of warping. I've only done a bed in drive up and down my street so far and holy shit they feel amazing. The car feels so so planted on the road and there's no pulsing or shaking at all. This is by far one of the most satisfying car DIY jobs I've done. It's chalk and cheese with the old ones. It doesn't hurt that they're also very sexy.
  22. Hey @Robzilla32 can you check the images now? They *should* be ok.
