  1. Yeah I've had too many issues with knock off's on the BMW's. I don't want to do a job twice or more because the parts are shit.
  2. Yeah, I guess its pretty easy to get to if this doesn't work. Just wait till next oil change and pull it out. I am going to have to do the oil pan gasket soon and thought I'd just replace it while I was there. Thanks
  3. Yep. In the E39 it's slightly different than the others. Honestly I'd just leave it but every time I drive the car it tells me oil is low and that just makes me check the dipstick. It is a BMW Afterall and it tries to expel it's own oil regularly. Thankfully it's not like my E90 that has no dipstick at all so you just gotta trust it.
  4. I really dig that skid plate / undertray. Looks like the bumper has a little bit of overhang, so this will be very handy I reckon.
  5. Welcome!
  6. So this fella danbelkita is clearly connected to total engines. This is getting quite entertaining though. It's worth losing the $50 sale, thats for sure!!
  7. Looks like I lost another friend.
  8. So, they admitted via message that they accidentally sent me a non Hella product. Then, hilariously, out of nowhere I get questioned about the legitimacy of my BMW intercooler for sale. This is the first *ever* enquiry in over 18 months. WIthin 8 mins of me telling "Total Engines" that I'd be reporting them for selling knock off's.
  9. Thread closed.
  10. Couldn't help but share the pics of my $350 "Hella" oil level sensor that arrived from totalengines via eBay today. It's like they're not even trying anymore ... And I think that's sad.
  11. My roof rails are off atm on the E39 until the rust is fixed. I did find another little bit of surface rust under the rails when I took them off. As @soviet_merlin said I'd just leave them alone unless you're planning on ensuring they're properly sealed. I was on the fence about leaving them off as the delete is still a thing in BMW E39's but I feel like the car is missing something (er, it is, der) with them off and I'm looking forward to putting them back on.
  12. Yep, its been down for a while, as I understand it it will be back soon.
  13. Bloody apprentices! 🙄
  14. 😬 This is still for sale. And it's had zero price updates. https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2002-holden-commodore-s-vx-ii-manual/SSE-AD-12765398
  15. Yep. I love the inside of my E39. Not sporty by any stretch but the epitome of "only what you need".
  16. Yeah but they dont look like this, which is GOOD.
  17. Yes!! I love these! It's a shame its not the wagon though! Thank everything that's holy that it doesn't have the interior of the Aussie delivered ones. Those seats are so much nicer.
  18. I'm both sorry and thankful that you do that.
  19. Wow, even with the Audi logo centre caps. I love OEM wheel mismatches.
  20. Welcome! Can't go wrong with a Stag.
  21. Looks good. Nice height.
  22. Definitely.
