  1. The sump will bolt on, rb26 blocks have bolt holes for both types of sumps, the problem is you wont be able to install the rb26oil pickup as its in a different spot, this means modifying the rb20 sump to go around it slightly.. Most guys just get the rb26 sumps modified to suit the rwd conversion.. Chris
  2. as I mentioned a battery reading 12v with no load on it doesn't mean anything. if it started with jumper leads off another battery, then everything is pointing to your current battery being dead. that *click* *click* is the solenoid on the starter motor having barely enough amps to engage itself, let alone enough amps to spin the starter motor.
  3. i just have a single 3" muffler on the back of my rb26.. sooo quiet its ridiculous, they call it a centre to centre muffler (regarding the IN/OUT positions). the path is straight thru which i guess is good for maintaining performance. any exhaust shop will stock the one i have, then just put a nice shiny tip on the end, and your flying incognito again. ditched the cannon a while ago, but will be returning to it with no cat for WTAC only
  4. maybe more information about the 'not starting' bit.. do you get lights up on the dash, does the starter motor turn the engine at all? the terminals must be contacting well for enough current to pass to kick the starter over. accessories that draw little amps might still work but if the connection isn't very good then you won't get the solenoid clicking or the starter spinning. my advice would be to remove the terminals and make sure you dont have any oxidation or corrosion interfering with the connection. Also a flat battery will sometimes still read 12v, the best way to check the battery is with a hydrometer.
  5. i like the 'failure is not an option' attitude.. this is car modding for ya. looking forward to seeing the results!
  6. great turbo, great price too.. GL would snap this up if i was still rolling with the RB20 boys..
  7. Steve, any pics of that coilpack coverplate I had made up for you..fitted?
  8. yeh that's a font i have installed.. its called NISSAN haha
  9. those sumps are for RB into BMW conversions to clear the bmw crossmember.. the pickup is also relocated to the rear of the sump. it means we can have our own sump style to suit all rb20/25/26/30's with the small change to the sump ring to allow for the different oil pickup location on the rb26 block
  10. we sell the sump rings if you like, they have a modification to dodge the oil pickup.. we also make full sumps from mild or alloy Chris
  11. just need an rb26 block to use for mocking up sumps/pickups let me know if you have one lying around, brisbane area preferable. would prefer one that has a girdle still in it, but crank, rods, oil pump etc.. not req'd what's it worth..? $100 for one with a hole in the side of it? Let me know Chris 0422 933 217
  12. just 2c from my experience nyloc's will melt on exhaust components, you'll want a crushed nut they will provide the force to stay on due to a slightly elongated thread tip
  13. just adding 2c, we have a new navara 2.5L intercooler turbo diesel, tows our cars around effortlessly and IMO peak power output means nothing in a tow car 5 seats, tonnes of space for wheels, jerry cans, tool boxes, jacks, etc.. plus the added bonus of great fuel ecomony 650km/65L mixed driving
  14. should probably post up how they look for me, they fit in nicely, no leaks, etc.. thanks mate
  15. i knew someone would ask, actually i'm using the $22 manual one

  19. your rears ran out 3 times faster than the fronts with general daily use? from camber wear/burnouts? the tyres were good when warm but they're not a real semi r compound like the r888 is..
