  1. can you do BMW's.. i would love to see mine as a pixel car..
  2. i'd love to post fab pics for one on a 34, any 34 owners out there get in touch with me so we can keep this fab thread alive
  3. You'll have to wait for Zoom issue #152 for that..! or follow us, Dryden Motor Sport on facebook
  4. Hey Julz, We'd love to offer these for as many cars as possible. We're already taking the steps to make these for EVO 8 + 9 now due to demand. We'll be happy to draw up anything if they bring a car around for measuring up. In your case you might have to wait until someone from Brissie with an r34 comes for a fitting.. but if you have any queries, let me know via PM as this is a fabrication thread, not sales.. thanks bud. Christo.
  5. here's another one we just finished on a EVO 6 GSR..
  6. a heat gun will bend perspex fine, just setup something on your bench at the angle you want the bend(s) coz when its hot its floppy you'll leave it for a few mintues to cool and take the new form. would work best if you sandwich it between 2 bits of timber while it cools
  7. hey guys, thought i would put up what we've been making a few of lately. These braces are made from 5000 series aluminium (magnesium alloy), with laser cut and CNC pressed strut tops and gussets. Here's a few pics of the process and the result. At the moment we have a couple getting around on EVO 6's and a front and rear one on my bmw. Would love to buy a proper pedestal polishing machine but turns out they're rather expensive. FYI these have only been lightly polished using "Brasso", but its good shit! sorry bout the small pics, and excuse me tacking it together in a shirt.. its a bad habit which i do pay for in the end.. when i finish weld them i wear long sleeve!!
  8. ... and our design 345mm kit for my bmw
  9. you will inspire alot more people to begin CF moulding at home.. really well done mate, that splitter really sets off the look of the car now
  10. hi Greg.. i like the look (and price!) of the sparco sprint V.. can you explain what the ADR/DOT regulation in QLD are on fixed back seats? just fit universal rails and mod plate it and away we go? cheers, Chris.
  11. this is a brake kit i've developed using cheaper OEM parts. * 2 pot PBR Calipers VE SS Commodore * 345mm x32mm thick Rotors machined to suit e36 (5x120) Mercedes ML55 AMG * Lazer cut 16mm thick mild steel caliper bracket * Machined mild steel bosses * HT (8.8) bolts comparison OEM setup vs new setup (both pics are 18" rims):
  12. Hardy Spicer, $160 balanced + warranty we have used for years on multiple builds putting out decent power with zero dramas on street, track or strip
  13. you *might* find straight stainless in less than 1.6mm wall, but dont expect to find mandrel bends under 1.6.. i've only been able to get a hold of 1.6 and as you'd know you can get this from pretty much anywhere
  14. all done now made 330rwhp and pretty fun to drive haha!! pics.. note custom made ally strut brace and airbox
  15. is that the screw in one-way valve with the ball bearing/spring in it? contact me via PM i have one here. chris.
  16. just a thought, timing belt one tooth out would skew your results from the compression test.. also if you are chucking in 700cc injectors on a standard tune it will be hella rich, maybe to the point of not running [edit: i see you have adjusted the pfc to suit.. double check the values?] i kinda agree that all rings going at once will be unlikely, but peculiar results after adding oil to the bores to assist in sealing the rings... they might be screwed after all?? induction (injectors tested OK) compression (questionable) ignition (spark tested OK) exhaust
  17. hey bud what power were the gtr turbo's making? are they standard size rear wheels or bored out/highflowed?
  18. cheers mate. yeah, regarding the big brake kit, the calipers sit close enough to the rotors that the pad is 100% contacting the rotor surface. however, as you'd expect there is an area of rotor which isn't covered by the pad, being a dfferent radius, if u know what i mean.. christo.
  19. thought i should put an update of the completed front strut brace.. we'll be making these for EVO's soon, and... well, anything else if there's enough demand.
  20. sounds like head gasket, does the oil look like a caramel milkshake too? make sure if you replace the head gasket you get the head skimmed flat. Machine shop should be able to do it for under $100
  21. check this in general classifieds thread. parts pickup from algester or will post where applicable. Various parts RB/other cheers, Chris.
